Gold Bond Ultimate Hand Sanitizer Moisturizer
A great alternative to alcohol based hand sanitizing gel
You don't like alcohol-based sanitizer or antibacterial hand sanitizing gel, but still want to kill germs conveniently? Try this lotion. When I use an instant hand sanitizer, my hands often feel dry. So each time I use it, I follow-up with a hand cream or lotion. Until now! Somebody finally got it - a hand sanitizer combining with a moisturizing lotion! This Gold Bond hand sanitizing moisturizer is a great invention. It moisturizes my hands, and my hands feel clean at the same time. It contains no alcohol, so I have no idea how this lotion kills 99.9% of germs on hands. It was a bit more expensive than a regular Gold Bond ultimate healing lotion, but since it kills germs AND moisturizes my hands, I am okay with the price tag. So why not give the perfect score? It has a bit unpleasant scent. But it is no big deal, I would still use it. ;)

I bought a bottle after seeing their eye catching ad on a fashion magazine. When I went to a department store, I could not believe how expensive it was (1.0 oz for more than $70). If I didn't have a gift card, I would not have bought it. Anyhow, I usually wear fruity or woody scent perfume/cologne, not too often flower-based ones. Nevertheless, I think Flowerbomb, despite the name, their floral scent is not the dominant part. It has a strong almost candy like sweet scent. It does not smell bad, but the scent is just quite familiar. It is very strong when I apply, but the fragrance fades away very quickly. The staying power needs some improvement. Overall, I think this is overpriced for a perfume that its scent doesn't last long, but I definitely fell for their brilliant marketing/advertisement. Now the bottle sits on my vanity as a decoration. If you like sweet and sugary scent, you will probably enjoy this one much more than I did.

This non-sticky lotion leaves my hair soft and smooth. It combats frizz and dryness without weighing it down. For shine I still prefer Redken Glass 01 to this one, but this one is a great finishing product to make my hair more manageable. Also, there are added bonus - this lotion has UV protection, and makes my hair smell really nice too (it may be too sweet for some)! Ah, yes, the bottle design is very cute.

I usually use Clinique Clarifying Lotion, but I thought why not try something else for once. This toner was refreshing and cleaned the dirt and oil off my face. It was a good standard clarifying toner for my oily skin, but I felt it offered nothing special. Unfortunately, fragrance is added to this toner. The scent was not too strong, but I still prefer a fragrance-free toner. BTW, FYI, this is not alcohol-free. I usually use toner with alcohol, so it was not an issue for me, but I thought some users may want to know that.

I love their Eucalyptus Spearmint Aromatherapy hand soap! We usually wash our hands with cheaper drug store brands hand soap like Dial and Soft Soap. We keep this bottle in a guest bathroom, but I occasionally sneak in there and wash my hands with this soap. It lathers well. Something about the minty scent makes my hands feel extra clean! I need to use hand lotion afterward though since this is not moisturizing soap. I love the simple yet elegant bottle and label design.

I used the EverPure moisturizing conditioner after washing my hair with their matching shampoo. My hair is highlighted and a bit frizzy, but also damaged due to regular swimming. I did not have any problem with the scent. Unfortunately, this conditioner was not moisturizing enough for my hair. I wanted to love this sulfate free and 100% vegan EverPure conditioner, but while I was using this shampoo/conditioner, I needed to use a finishing product to make my hair manageable and smooth. Also, I used Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask or Joico K-Pak Moisture Intense Hydrator Treatment at least once a week for my damaged hair because this conditioner itself was not entirely satisfactory.

L'Oréal Paris EverPure Sulfate-Free Color Care System Moisture Shampoo
Not too bad for my highlighted hair, not too great for my scalp
I liked a lightly sweet spearmint scent of this sulfate-free shampoo. After using this shampoo AND the matching conditioner my hair felt fine, but definitely not as moisturizing as some other moisturizing shampoo products provide. Well, at least it (and/or the conditioner) added a little more shine to my highlighted hair. What I did not like about this shampoo - it did not lather too much maybe it is because this is mild shampoo?! As a matter of the fact, it was so mild and gentle that I felt it didn't clean my scalp completely. My scalp was slightly itchy next day I washed with this shampoo and conditioner.

I don't mind a two-step mascara as long as it gives me a satisfying result. The white end works as a fantastic base coat. Wow, I can immediately see my lashes are separated and lengthened dramatically. Since it is white, I can make sure that every lash is coated with the black top coat. Don't wait too long to apply the black coat otherwise the white primer end may make your lashes a bit crispy. My lashes appear thicker and longer, but still look natural. And it lasts quite long. BTW, I still needs to use a a curler after applying this mascara since it does not curl the lashes. Removing this mascara can be a bit messy job. I have to use eye makeup product 2-3 times to get rid of it completely. But I really love the look of my eyelashes with this mascara. My only wish is that there was more inside. Due to the double ended package, there is not much in each side. I will still buy it again.

I purchased the Murad acne kit after highly recommended by a friend who also suffers from adult acne. It might work for my friend's skin, but for my skin it did not stop from having breakouts. It seemed to work better in the beginning, and healed some of the existing reddish pimples, but at the same time this gel dried out my skin (I have oily/combination skin). Thus, I did not use it for my entire face from the second time around, and I used it as a spot gel. Nevertheless, a few days later I still got new pimples. Just like many acne treatment gel, this one gave an itchy feeling. About the effectiveness, I think this gel is almost as effective as a $7 grocery store brand acne treatment/clearing gel.

I was told to use this lotion along with the cleanser and gel, and among all the Murad acne prevention products, I liked this lotion the most but still not the best I have used. The lotion was light yet it hydrated enough, but I feel it is a standard oil-free moisturizer. Why? Because I faithfully used the entire kit, but my breakouts/adult acne did not go away. Since the kit was expensive, I am not planning to buy it again anytime soon.
