my naturally straight hair does not usually hold curls well, so i usually use a curling iron/ hairspray combo - which unfortunately usually leaves me with a stiff, unnatural looking do. i picked up a bottle of elnett after reading reviews about how well it held hairstyles while keeping your tresses soft and touchable. i'm sold! after using a curling iron and spraying curls in place, i gently brushed my locks out to get a softer look - no flakes or stiffness, but my hair remained curly even in the wind and fog, and even the next day! like another reviewer noted, the scent is a bit strong (an old-school hairspray scent!) and the aerosol spray is not very environmentally friendly - i'll save this spray for the few occasions i feel like rocking some curls...

what a timesuck! even when i take the time to curl my lashes first, then apply the primer followed by the actual mascara, my eyelashes are still not curly. if anything, this mascara removes whatever lift my eyelash curler added in the first place. lashes look slightly thicker and longer and the product stays put but that's about it - some lashes clumped together.

i use these for my medium length hair, as does my 10 year old daughter and my 30-something hubby w/ superlong hair! these elastics are perfect for tying hair back into a neat ponytail; no metal = no ouch, and the extra thickness helps hold thicker hair in place. they do stretch out a bit after a few uses (and i've had a few break after a while) but the drugstore wallet-friendly price means it's easy to restock your supply!

it definitely moisturizes but it feels heavier on my lips than other lip balms - and yet surprisingly isn't more lasting. one reviewer noted a "hint" of vanilla but it's too overpowering for my taste. i'll use it if my lips are feeling super chapped and dry but not my go-to for daily use.

i received a sample size of this in my birthday pack from sephora and probably won't purchase a full size one. while i didn't encounter any of the flaking problems other reviewers did, this mascara just didn't do much for my lashes. they looked only slightly thicker but they also stuck together, resulting in a spiky lashed look - not the look i was going for! also, when applied after curling my lashes, this mascara seemed to uncurl them =(

my lips have been super dry this winter - mainly b/c i lost my soft lips! luckily i just found one in my makeup drawer (so handy they come two to a pack!) and after the first application, my lips already feel much softer and smoother. i like the sweet cherry scent (not too overpowering) and after reading other reviews, will try the raspberry green tea one soon. i use this before applying lipstick or lip gloss and continue to apply it throughout the day. it may not last very long but for a drugstore lip balm with spf protection, it can't be beat!

i'm constantly searching for curling mascara that will work on my straight lashes. i picked this up before investing in a shisheido curler (which i LOVE!) when used without the curler, it failed to deliver its promise of "up to 70% more lift"; but once i curled my lashes, this mascara helped lock the curl in and made them look even longer than usual! it also claims to give up to 14x more volume, but i failed to see that either; my lashes did look slightly plumper but i would have liked to have seen a little more separation and definition. it didn't really clump too badly but some of my lashes stuck together. the mascara seems to be a thinner formula than i'm used to, which made it easier to wipe excess off the super thick brush. i'll continue to use this provided i have time to curl first!

for years, i've made unsuccessful attempts to make my long and straight asian eyelashes curl, using various "curling mascaras" and eyelash curlers. i always tried drugstore brand curlers, thinking there couldn't be that much difference from the pricier brands since they looked the same, right? WRONG. why did it take me so long to invest in the shisheido curler? after being convinced by all the glowing reviews here, i finally splurged and was it worth it! the curler curves perfectly to my eyelid so i catch all my lashes without pinching; a few firm squeezes down the length of my lashes produces the natural eye-opening curl i've wanted for oh so long! no funny crimps, no strange 90-degree angled lashes. just a long lasting curl, good on its own for a natural look and perfect for acheiving those vavavavoom lashes with mascara! LOVE this product.

i was intrigued by the plastic design and "extra wide opening" - the metal curlers i'd tried before always pinched >ouch<. alas, my straight asian lashes did not achieve the super curl as promised. if you follow instructions and rest the top of the curler on your eyelid, indeed you won't pinch your lid; but because the curler isn't curved to the shape of your eye, you won't get all the lashes either, particularly at the corners of your eyes. these left a strange crimp in my lashes that made them turn up unnaturally at a 90 degree angle, despite efforts to gently but firmly squeeze down the length of my lashes. i also tried heating the pad with a blowdryer as recommended, and this did seem to hold the curl longer but what's the point if the curl/crimp isn't the look i'm going for?

this mascara promises "MASSIVE volume and REMARKABLE definition" but doesn't really deliver either. you definitely need to wipe the brush before each use (therefore wasting a LOT of product!) to avoid clumps, and even then it's hard to apply and keep your lashes nice and separated - hardly defined. the only massive volume you get is through massive build-up and clumping =( i picked this up on sale at walgreens and now i see why it was discounted! not purchasing again...
