before i switched my makeup routine in preference of a more natural "dewy" look (via tinted moisturizer), i used this powder to achieve a perfect matte look (in lieu of foundation). the coverage was great - not too heavy, just enough to even out my skin tone. long lasting, except on my t-zone. if i need to look extra special (e.g. more made up than usual!), i'll go back to this...

nice and lightweight so you don't feel like your pores are clogging or your t-zone's shining...but personally it feels a bit thin or watered-down, i actually prefer a creamier (but not necessarily greasier or heavier) moisturizer. this stuff just disappears when you rub it in and i can't help but wonder if it's just evaporating - i don't get that "soothing sinking in my skin" moisturizing feeling. and my cheeks still feel a bit dry...

Received a free sample to review - cream was rather thick and heavy and greasy feeling - not a feeling I wanted to fall asleep with...

i used to wear pencil eyeliner all the time but got tired of the pulling and tugging across the eyelid, all for an uneven line that faded easily. i switched over to liquid eyeliner, which, after some practice to steady my hand, offered a bold impact but was also often uneven and flaked away...i recently picked this up as a special add-on to the eyeshadow quad and am a fan! i don't wear eyeliner on a daily basis but when i want to play up my eyes when wearing my hair up in a ponytail, this does just the trick. the sharpener's built in to ensure a fine line and it's easy to apply - no more tugging and pulling! no smudging either - this stays put! i've been a fan of the colorstay lipliner forever, how did i not know this was equally great for they eyes???

i wear this shade when i feel like getting noticed - and it never fails to draw compliments! it's a deep red shade - more wine/plum/brown red than fire-engine red (a la "cherries in the snow".) i don't wear it very often however - while it glides on smoothly and is nice and creamy, it tends to be drying on my lips (even with a layer of lip balm as primer). it lasts pretty long...until you take a sip of something or have a meal.

i've been using this lip liner FOREVER! i usually use raisin or plum to match the revlon super lustrous lipstick in raisin rage (no, not to rock the kim mathers lipliner look!) so easy to use; it glides on smoothly without skipping or dragging, so it's perfect for keeping your lipstick from feathering, bleeding or settling into fine lines. it even has a built in sharpener to keep the point perfectly shaped for ultra-precise lining. i've also used it for my 10 year old daughter's "stage makeup" when she dances; she hates the feel of lipstick (she thinks it's too thick and gloopy) but she's ok with using this lip liner to color her lips - it's light and weightless. i've been wary of colorstay products because they tend to be drying but not the case w/ this lip liner; just in case, i always apply lip balm before color. conveniently available at your nearest drugstore and the price can't be beat!

i've been wearing lip glosses for a while now, forgoing lipstick b/c it either 1. got stuck everywhere - my teeth, my cup, etc.; or 2 faded in a not so flattering way and was a pain to reapply. i tried longlasting lipsticks and found them to be too matte and drying. in switching over to lip gloss, i loved the quick and easy application and high shine- and reapplication, since it didn't last very long. but i disliked the often overly sweet stickiness and minimal color. this mineral lipglaze is the best of both worlds. it's saturated in rich color and provides a slick shine; once the glossy shine fades, the color remains but your lips won't feel dry. it may feel the slightest bit of sticky at first application but it's not too much, nor is the scent/taste.

i received a full-size sample of this product to review (thanks total beauty!) and was looking forward to trying it out - lately, my morning routine has been a little hurried and i've skipped using lotion (my dry skin has not been happy about it either!). i thought this "spray and go" would help moisturize my skin in a hurry. the bottle reminds me of spray sunscreen - seems easy enough to use, right? it takes a few tries to get the hang of it though to spray evenly - not too thick or thin, and with the right amount of pressure to spray consistently. you end up covering a fair amount of skin pretty quickly - but if you're not careful, you also cover a fair amount of your bathroom/carpet :( when sprayed too thickly, it starts to run and drip - not pleasant. it's very thin so you have to rub it into your skin quickly - for me, it didn't feel like it sunk in and moisturized very well, it sort of just sat on the surface. my skin did feel a little smoother and the scent was nicely subtle. i think i would like this product better in the hotter summer months, but for now, i prefer a thicker lotion/body cream for the winter...

i’m a fan of this drugstore find! i was a skeptic at first – the ads promised “beautiful shiny color” and “baby soft, healthy glowing lips”, claiming that “94% of women felt lips were softer, smoother, and instantly hydrated.” personally, i’ve found that rich, long-lasting color lipstick usually leave my lips parched and dry; i’ve taken to adding a layer of lip balm prior to using any lipstick. and tinted lip balms (e.g. burt’s bees, clinique’s almost lipstick) are usually too sheer and subtle. i wanted more color than my standard gloss, so i thought i’d give this a try…and i’m sold! i’m currently using #085 sugar plum, which is just a touch darker than my natural lip color, with a slight shimmer. it glides on smoothly, thanks to the “hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter formula”; it’s a “gel formula” and i swear it gets softer/silkier with each application. it provides sheer to medium coverage; you can layer for more color, but it’s definitely not as color-saturated as emma stone’s pucker in the ad campaign. my lips feel moisturized but not sticky, and the color actually lasts pretty well. although not a “colorstay” product, even after morning coffee and lunch, there’s still a subtle trace of color – and definitely soft suppleness. no need for lip balm anymore – this lip butter definitely hydrates and softens as promised. there are about 20 colors available, mostly nudes, pinks and corals – perfect for amping up your “natural makeup” daytime look. if you’re looking for a dramatic bright red lip a la marilyn monroe, try something else. if you have dry, chapped lips and still want a richly-pigmented lipstick with decent coverage and lasting power, try this lip butter. i’ve even saved time from my make-up routine now that i can skip the lip balm! ::UPDATE:: recently purchased a brighter brownish-red shade #040 red velvet; it's super richly pigmented - i only need one layer for a bright pucker. they've broadened the array of hues to choose from and this has replaced my usual revlon colorstay rum raisin in my makeup bag! LOVE it.

the skin under my eyes tends to be dry, puffy and with noticeable dark circles, and i’ve also developed fine lines around the corners of my eyes. so when i was invited to try a new eye cream – for free! – i jumped at the chance. i received a full-size sample of this eye cream, which is marketed as “a multi-purpose product that targets deep lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, under-eye bags, puffiness and dark circles, crepiness and dry skin” – just right for all of my concerns. the tube has a metal applicator tip, which provides a slightly cooling sensation and makes application a breeze. the cream itself has a nice consistency – rich and creamy without being greasy; it sinks quickly into my skin, immediately leaving it feeling smooth and supple. so moisturizing benefit – check. but beyond that, i haven’t seen much of a difference after four weeks of use (and i took a before/after photo). i still have puffy, dark bags under my eyes and fine lines in the corners. so while it’s definitely a good eye moisturizer, i don’t find it worth the $40 for not delivering the restorative and renewing effects it promised…
