  • Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum

This product did nothing good form my short, thick hair. Instead of making my hair look glossy and healthy, my hair looked greasy. In fact, it looked so greasy that it looked like I had not showered for a week. To top it off, no matter how much I worked it in with my fingers or brushed it, it did not spread well from root to tip, so the product stayed concentrated in my roots, leading to gross oily build up. Even after showering my hair felt yucky to touch for a day or two. I really dislike this serum, and it did not help my hair whatsoever. While it did tame frizzies, it is only because it trapped them in unattractive globs of oily junk. I would not recommend this to anyone with any hair type.

    Clinique All About Eyes

    Not Very Effective

This product does not reduce my bags or really make my eye area look better. It is hydrating, but I didn't buy it to moisturize my under-eye area; I bought it to reduce the puffy bags I get. Kind of a waste of money. Will not purchase again. Also looks thick and greasy on skin even after rubbing it in.

  • Paul Mitchell Fast Form Cream Gel

Paul Mitchell Fast Form Cream Gel

Doesn't Really Do Much For Me

I had gotten 11 hair cuts at a certain salon, so they said I could have any product on the shelf for free. I am not much of a hair person. I wash and condition my hair with any random brand on sale, and I finger comb my pixy cut or bobby pin it until I like it. I never spend more than a minute or two on my hair. The stylist picked it out for me saying it would be good for my curls and would define and shape them. I have thick, wavy curls in a pixy cut, and quite frankly, this had no effect on them that I could see. It just made my hair look kind of wet, and it was like the same hair as before, just with stuff in it. At least it was free, I would not have been happy if I had had to pay for it. However, one pro is that it smells really good: like jasmine and lavender and something sweet and milky. Sometimes I'll work the tiniest dab into my hair to make it smell good, but other than that I have no real use for it.

  • Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash
    8.0

    Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash

    Cleansing and Clearing

This body wash is a lifesaver. It leaves my skin feeling really clean after a shower, and it reduces a lot of the breakouts on my chest and shoulders. I like how it does both those things. Also since I only really need it on my chest, shoulders, and back, the bottle really lasts me. I also like how much it foams up and how light it is on the skin, even though it comes out of the tube as a thick, gel-like substance. I was skeptical because it did not have the microbeads many Neutrogena acne products have, but it works like their beadless facial cleansers. It only clears small pimples however, so if you have large cystic zits, this like the face wash won't help much with those.

  • Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash

I bought two of these right before a big trip in travel size as my travel face wash. This cleanser got rid of the sweat and grime in my pores from the long hot days, and the two little travel bottles lasted me until a few days after I got back home. A great buy, however it is not quite strong enough on my tough zits, but it is good for clearing up grime and blackheads, in my opinion. It did not help much with my big cystic acne though, so I use this in the winter when I get less cystic acne.

  • Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power-Clear Scrub

I have only used this face wash a few times, and so far I am quite impressed. For one thing, even after only one use, I felt like my skin was calmer and the cystic acne around my nose hurt less. It is cooling and gentle, and I can feel it work during and after washing. I think this could become my regular face wash, as I have tried out many drugstore acne washes trying to find something affordable and effective. This one looks promising!

  • Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

These will remove your makeup, however they have a few cons: 1) They leave a wet, greasy feeling on the face. 2) They irritate the eye area if you have to remove stubborn eyeliner or mascara. 3) They dry out easily.

  • M.A.C. Lipstick
    10.0

    M.A.C. Lipstick

    Favorite 2 Lipsticks

I have a matte dark purple lipstick (shade Punk) and a beigey nude pink lipstick (shade Faux) from MAC and they are my absolute favorite lipsticks. Punk is a true edgy matte lip color and is dark and long lasting. Faux has a satiny finish close to my natural lipcolor, but different enough that it gets compliments. They go on smoothly and neither dry my lips out, even the matte finish. I find that the satin does last longer than the matte finish. These lipsticks are amazing, and I plan on buying more colors. MAC also has a huge selection of every basic shade of lipstick: nude, brown, pink, purple, etc. You are certain to find a color in a finish you like that looks great on you. Also, MAC lipsticks are pricier than your average drugstore lipstick, but they are way more reasonable than many other brands you would find in Macy's or Sephora.

  • Milani Lip Liner Pencil

I was skeptical of Milani products: they are one of those drugstore brands that don't get talked about as much or are as well displayed as other drugstore makeup brands. But, I needed a cheap nude lipliner, as I was about to leave for a vacation and I needed one I could use under any of my lipsticks. This liner is creamy, pigmented, and unbudgeable. It works great under my nude lipstick and even my dark purple MAC lipstick. A great buy, and now I cannot wait to try out other Milani products. There are many other shades of the lipliner, but they run out quickly: every time I go to my local CVS, there are 1 or 2 pencils left in the entire display. Therefore, I would buy it in all the colors you could possibly need when they are in stock, because you won't regret it and who knows when they'll be in stock again? A great buy and I am beyond excited to try Milani eyeshadows and blushes now.

  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
    10.0

    Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

    My Holy Grail of Primers

I have the Urban Decay Primer Potion in both Sin (a darker, very shimmery rose gold) and Greed (a lighter, sparkly yellowish-whitish color) and I love them. They make any eyeshadow stick and stand out. Even some of my poorer quality eyeshadows look like they're higher quality because the primer potions keep them from fading, creasing, and budging. My makeup lasts all day when I use the potions, and a little goes a long way. The primers themselves look so pretty that on my lazy days I just blend them on with my finger, swipe on some liner and mascara, and I have a pretty, shimmer, low key look for school to keep my eyes looking bright after an all-nighter. These primers deserve all the good hype they get. I plan to buy the original potion for my matte shadows, as the shimmer can be seen if you put strictly matte shadows on top of it. A beautiful and versatile product. I once even used SIn to line my eyes with a liner brush (only on the top) just to see how it would look. I paired with a simply light brown shadow, and it was a great bohemian look I would use for lazy summer days. I became an Urban Decay junkie because of this product. One of the most important tools in my makeup bag hands down.
