I got a mini size of the Shimmering Skin Perfecter in Moonstone in the Ulta set of BECCA products. I have pretty light skin with neutral to golden undertones, and Moonstone is so stunning on me. I think it would look best on skin tones ranging from light to medium. The fairest people with really pale, cool-toned skin would probably like Pearl better, and girls with tanner skin tones might like Opal or Rose Gold or Topaz better. The formula of this is so wonderful because it gives you a noticeable glow but it does not look glittery or greasy. I haven't tried it all over the face as a primer or mixed in with foundation since the mini I have is a small wand applicator, but on the high points of my face it gives me a beautiful look. It looks like I have naturally radiant skin. The color compliments me really well, and I like that there are shades for lots of skin tones. I definitely will buy a full size when I run out of the mini. It is one of those products that I can understand the hefty price tag because it really works and you can use it all the time: for natural, lowkey looks or for full glam looks.

I feel like this concealer gets really hyped as one of the most amazing things ever, drugstore or otherwise. I find it to be a bit of a let down. My under eye area is dryer, slightly dark, sallow and dull, and I sometimes have millia spots as well. This concealer looks nice and blends nice at initial application, but it immediately starts look greasy and like its breaking up if I try to use it anywhere else, like on my chin or nose. It looks dry on top of any blemishes, and it quickly wears away on my face and under eyes in these weird, peely, papery flakes. I don't know how else to explain than it looks like Elmers glue that could be peeled of your hands. It does alright when set with the right powder, but the applicator is also so gross that I don't even like using it. I will use it all up since I can't return it, but I will not be repurchasing.

MAC eyeshadows are okay, but I definitely have used better eyeshadows. Everytime I go in and swatch them, with my fingers or a brush, I'm underwhelmed by the pigmentation and dry texture on a lot of the mattes. I got one for free (Plumage, a deep hunter/teal green), and while I can build up pigment, it takes patience to get it even and blended nicely; problems I don't have with many other eyeshadows. While there are pigmented shimmers, they are kind of flaky often times. The shade selection is great, but there aren't many with smooth formulas. All in all, I can't justify the price for them, and unless there is a really unique shade you are willing to be patient working with to get the specific color you have in mind, I don't think they are worth it.

I have a sample size of Incandescent Strobe Light from a Sephora Favorites set of highlighters. The color is a very light slightly peachy-pink on my fair skin. I had very high expectations because I love the Ambient Lighting Powder I have. This powder is okay: it definitely feels thinner than the Ambient Lighting Powder, and it isn't strong in color either, but while the Ambient Powders have a nice sheen/pigmentation to them, this one is almost too sheer and requires quite a bit of building to get a subtle highlight. The effect is pretty eventually and very brightening, but there is random silver sparkles in it. They are very faint, but definitely there when you swatch or if you build it up more and more. I just don't love it. I will keep using it because I have it and can make it work, but I wouldn't purchase a full size in any color.

I got a mini size of the shade Kiss Kiss Bang Bang in a Sephora free birthday gift set. On my fair neutral skin, it is a medium natural rosy color with pink and brown undertones. I love the color a lot on me personally, but what really is so awesome is the formula. It goes on really smooth and pigmented. It feels nice and creamy on the lips, but not so heavy that you really feel it on your mouth throughout the day. It is a creme lipstick, so it is not transfer-proof by any means: however, it doesn't fade off awkwardly or in patches. I don't mind reapplying it at all. It looks smooth on my lips even when they're drier, or flaky, or anything like that. I even notice it hydrating my lips slightly throughout the day. If only it weren't so expensive: I don't know what I'm going to do when the sample bullet runs out!

I have a pink shade of this product, but I can't find the name anywhere on it: it must have rubbed off. While the packaging is cheap and not impressive to look at, I like it because it is easy, portable, and small. You truly barely need any of this liquid highlighter at a time, and it is such a cheap price. Don't be fooled by how small it looks, you get a lot of bang for your buck. I like how it looks like a metallic glow on my face and not a chunky or glittery streak. This product does separate no matter how much you shake it though after a certain amount of time, so it has become messy to use. When I first open and squeeze the tube, a bunch of messy clear liquid always comes out before the actual highlighter. It means I have to work a little harder, but the product itself looks great, lasts, and feels good on my skin, I just wish it didn't separate so badly.

I got a sample size of this mascara in an ipsy bag one month. It is black, but doesn't do much else for my lashes. It makes my lashes look subtly thicker because it makes them darker, but doesn't do anything amazing for me. I like it for natural days just to make my lashes frame my eyes more, or when I want my eyeshadow to stand out and not have too much thick mascara blocking it. But, if you are looking for something to transform your lashes, this isn't it. The sample tube also dried out quickly, in less than a month.

I can only speak to the green version of this primer, but I can safely say it did not work for me at all. It was very expensive for a drugstore primer, between $15 and $20. I had high expectations that were not met at all. For one thing, the texture is weird: when you squirt it out and apply, it is thin, greasy, and sheer; then, as you blend it in and apply foundation/concealer over it, it turns gunky and balls up. It separated around my nose where I have the worst redness, turned into little balls and flakes on my cheeks, and it clung to dry patches and acne on my nose, chin, and forehead. The result of that was green crusty lumps around the acne I was trying to cover up in the first place. I tried using my fingers, a sponge, and different brushes and nothing could make it apply nicely. I tried with other primers and moisturizers underneath, different concealers and foundations on top, and nothing would make it look smooth or help with my redness. I can't use it and it was a terrible waste of my money.

I have two shades of this formula, one that I absolutely love and another that could be better but is not the worst lip product I have ever tried. The shade I love is called Mattely In Love, and it is a bright, bold raspberry red. The shimmer in it is more of a sheen. Since it isn't so metallic or glittery, it looks smoother and more flattering on the lips. The color is so stunning and would look good on any skin tone because it is such a great pop of color. I find it to not separate, apply evenly and opaquely, and last quite well. When it fades, it leaves a bit of stain so until you touch it up it isn't too bad. Not counting eating oily foods, this lasts really well for many hours. The other shade I have is Prismatic Touch, a true rose gold. This shade is beautiful too look at, but has its drawbacks. I have heard that the other lighter shades have similar problems to this one: for one thing, it separates and needs to be shaken up a lot before application. It also is more glittery and metallic, so it makes my lips look very creased and wrinkly. It also goes on sheerer. It doesn't leave a stain when it fades because it is lighter, so it looks patchier as it wears. I like it better as a top coat over other colors, but I don't think I would buy it again if I knew that is all I would like it for. I can wear it alone for a unique rose gold lip, I just have to be patient layering and retouching throughout the day. I would say the brighter shades are your best bet, and I 100% recommend Mattely in Love: it's a 10/10.

The only color I have is My Tulips Are Sealed, a peachy color with lots of gold pearl and shimmer throughout. On my skin, it pulls an orangey metallic golden peach. it swatches pigmented on my hand, and it does apply opaquely to the lips for the most part. You definitely need to layer for a perfect application though. It feels thicker and is noticeable on the lips. It is called a liquid lipstick, but it does not dry down: it is more like a mousse-textured lip gloss and lipstick hybrid. It looks beautiful for 2-3 hours, but all that shimmer means as it wears it looks gross on the lips and exaggerates lines. You definitely need to reapply often regardless of if you ate or drank. It is a pretty color, and it is a cheap way to try out a non-drying version of the metallic lip trend. If you like the idea of that trend but want to try it out without spending a lot, go for it. But, if you aren't really in to the metallic lip look, or you are and want a really good one, this product is just okay and not necessary.
