I used soft pink until about a year ago when I decided my dry skin needed a more moisture-friendly blush. Upon that epiphany, I gave my soft pink to my quarter-of-century daughter and I bought Pot Rouge in raspberry. I am a fair-skinned blonde and my daughter is an olive-skinned blonde and we both find the soft pink an attractive color on our skin. In general, the blush applies evenly and leaves a ski-slope, natural color of pink.

Since my skin has become estrogen-deprived dry over the last couple of years, I have tried various non-powder blushes. The one I have in my makeup bag currently is Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks. I can't thank the makers of comestics enough that create a multi-use product. I have a limited edition color, raspberry, that is the lovliest pink. I am blonde, and it certainly works for fair-skinned blondes. My olive-skinned friends find this too pink for them. If I overdose the color on my cheeks, I put a little tinted moisturizer on my brush and lightly sweep it over my cheeks. For my lips, I add a lip gloss over the raspberry.

Although the eye shadow is the same, the round compact has been replaced by a square compact. I own the three-pan palette in bone, expresso, and navy (to use as an eyeliner). Unrecognizable, I still own the three-pan palette, and when the last traces of eyeshadow are gone, I will replace it with the square-pan palette. I am a fair-skinned blonde and the transparency of the bone and expresso colors suits my complexion perfectly.

I originally bought this because I loved the lemon smell and it was handbag friendly, but now I buy it because it really is a hand treatment. I have dry, dry hands, and Bigelow Lemon Hand Treatment leaves them soft without being greasy, and of, course, smelling like lemons, which I love.

I am pitifully lazy when it comes to my skin routine prior to bed, so I have a drawer full of products next to my bed, including Pond's Clean Sweep. When I am too tired to stand at the bathroom sink -- so pitiful -- I crawl into bed, open my nightstand drawer, and pluck out a Pond's Clean Sweep and sweep before I sleep. The cloth removes all the makeup, including waterproof mascara. With no rinsing required, I am ready to apply my night creams. I have used many brands of towelettes, but for the price, this is at the head of the pack.

Oh, I loved this at first blush, and I still love Aveda's blush brush. One of the softest brushes that I have ever owned. Blush goes on smoothly.

Revlon's Age Defying Concealer is no match to one of my favorite but expensive concealers, Cle de Peau Beaute, but it is creamy without settling into fine lines, it contains titanium dioxide, which is a must for this recovering sun worshiper, and the price is right. Unfortuantely, the colors in the Revlon line don't stand a chance against my Cle de Peau Beaute light stick, but if I could find a great color match, I would definitely buy Revlon's concealer over Cle de Peau Beaute.

I have tried so many concealers that I could write a book just concealers. When the dark circles under my eyes made permanent camp, I struggled with concealing them for years. The problem with many of the concealers was that they also camped in the fine lines. For a liquid concealer, Clinique's All About Eyes is at the top of the list. The silcone allows the concealer to stay on top of the fine lines, not in them.

This is slightly better than it's green twin, but I was still unhappy with the coverage. It might have been based on the fact that I was trying to cover a huge facial bruise, and the green concealer was making me look frightfully ill.

Physician's green concealer stick was recommended by my derm after an injection that left a big, bad bruise. I don't know what my derm was thinking, but the application left my bruise looking worse than it was before. It did not cover the bruise. I tried light, heavy, and medium application with a skin-colored concealer over the green. Nothing worked. You could still see the green. I felt like Kemit the Frog. Not that there's anything wrong with being a frog.
