Although Falling in Love takes backseat to Amazing Grace in my heiarchy of perfumes, this is another great companion to have on board the airplane. Any of the concentrated oils are great to pack in your carry-on in lieu of larger more cumbersome bottles. I carry both of these in my handbag at all times. A little dab will do ya! Travel-friendly, airline-friendly, and my BFFs.

I have been in and out of airports a dozen times this year. With travel getting more and more difficult, I have tried to streamline my packing. This is another essential that I have on hand for any airline travel. Ted Gibson's Hair Styling Sheets are the perfect traveling companion. I personally try to allow a few days between hair washings -- with the amount of money I spend on my hair coloring, frequent shampooing is money down the drain -- and Ted's sheets give me that extra day. The light and refreshing smell removes stagnant odors as well. In addition, when humidity wreaks havoc with my fine locks, Ted's sheets calm the frizzies without having to use a flat iron. With airlines starting to charge for luggage, I am continuing to find products that multi-task, get through Security without causing me to be flagged, and are lightweight. Ted Gibson's Hair Styling sheets are uber travel-friendly.

Cargo Color Cards and Cargo Daily Gloss are two of my compansions that travel me when I fly by plane. With American Airlines charging for baggage and others following suit, efficient packing is a must. There are 28 cards in different shades that pack a punch without packing the weight. I "gift" the colors that don't match my palette to my daughter. Travel-friendly!!!

I just wrote an article about tips for packing your carry-on. Cargo DailyGloss was one of my tips. With 30 individual tear-away portions of lip gloss, you can get through security at the airport with your carry-on and still have a glossy pucker when you step off the plane. Since I fly more than I would like to, I have stocked up on these little geniuses.

Having used the original Moisture Surge for most of my 30s, I was excited to learn that Clnique had reformulated this product. Lakeside this weekend with skin as thirsty as a hungover sailor, I stopped at a department store and bought this. You know how you have comfort smells? Well, this was a comfort feel. Remembering the light, almost fluffy concoction of Moisture Surge, my skin was salivating. After applying, my body relaxed with an "Ahhhh." The literature indicates that the moisture lasts 12 hours. With a half a day at the lake and Moisture Surge under my belt, I checked out the results, and I was delighted to see that my face did seem less parched. Before I went to bed, I sealed in the moisture again. The next morning, my face was smooth and hydrated. It's always good to go back home. I love you, Moisture Surge.

I used Touch Base about a year ago. When I used it, I loved that it kept my eyeshadow in place without settling in the fine lines on my eyelid. Being a bit of a minimalist, I have tried to own multi-purpose products, so when I ran out, I started using a concealer on my eyelids, which serves the same purpose (Cle de Peau Beaute). As far as price, Touch Base is less expensive than Cle de Peau Beaute. I never tried it, but maybe Touch Base could be used as a concealer, too. Hmmm.

I received this as a gift from my daughter a couple of years ago. Knowing that I had been an Aveda fan -- she was not -- she attempted to spur a change. Her spurring worked. I still use Aveda products, but when I want extra conditioning and a lovely scent, I use this one. I am not a fan of the shampoo, though.

There are very few scents that I like, especially in the shower, but L'Occitane's Verbena Shower Gel is lemony fresh. My daughter gave this to me a couple of years ago, and I have been hooked on anything L'Occitane Verbena ever since. The scent is not overpowering, but it does give you a lift.

Before my class reunion last summer, I wanted that facelift look without a facelift, so I bought Lift Fusion Face Lift to the tune of $140, but unfortunately, I can't give it a standing O. I didn't feel any of the benefits that were advertised, and cost per use was approximately $40.

This is the perfect symphony of primer and foundation. As far as wrinkles go, it may be the best smoke and mirrors on the market to date. The multitasking Perfekt can be worn as a primer or as a light foundation. It covers redness, fine lines, and looks very natural. Although it is expensive, it contains 240 pumps. The first time I bought this, my can only lasted a fraction of the alleged 240-pump regimen. Sephora was kind enough to gve me a new can. Thanks, Sephora.
