Aveeno Ultra-Calming Moisturizing Cream Cleanser is a disappointment! The directions on the bottle read to massage into skin for 30 seconds before rinsing off for a good cleaning. Yes, it does clean, but Aveeno Ultra-Calming Moisturizing Cream Cleanser is actually pretty drying for a cream based cleanser. Is it gentle? Nope. Did it remove makeup? Nope (most face washes don’t). Did it moisturize my dry skin? Nope. After multiple uses, my skin was left feeling tight, stripped and dry!

How does it work? Allow the pink sediment in the bottle settle, do not shake the bottle. Dip a cotton swab into the sediment and apply to the affected area (blemish). Be forewarned, the smell and texture of the drying lotion reminds me of Calamine lotion. As a tip, Bye Bye Blemish Drying Lotion is an overnight treatment, so apply it only at night – unless you want to look like you are covering up chicken pox during the day. Bye Bye Blemish Drying Lotion works optimal on raised, inflamed blemishes. It dries up those suckers quick! I applied this spot treatment on a blemish and within a couple of days, my blemish shrank just in time for the weekend!

Overall, Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo is a life saver for my tresses. It removes product build up and leaves my hair soft, clean and oil-free! My hair definitely feels healthier and looks so much better after using the shampoo. In fact, I love Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo so much that its going to be a shower staple.

When applied, Imju Fiberwig Mascara glides onto lashes effortlessly and its fibers attach to individual lashes. Imju Fiberwig Mascara is similar to Maybelline’s XXL ProExtensions (not a fan of). The mascara can be easily removed with water alone. But, is Imju Fiberwig Mascara worth it? Sadly, no. It definitely does not live up to its hype. Did it lengthen my lashes? Barely. Add volume? Nope. So what exactly did Fiberwig Mascara to do my lashes? Well…it did make them look darker, but that’s not what I look for in a mascara (especially at that price!).

3D Holographic Gold is a gold metallic glitter nail polish. Glitter in nail polish is a bit tricky - it either comes off classy or trashy. Luckily, Milani got the glitter right by making it finely milled to give you a classy holiday look. You need two coats to get great results. Since application, I can't help but stare at my nails. If I go to any holiday parties this year, I definitely will be rocking 3D Holographic Gold. And seriously for $4.99, Milani, you have me sold!

I love cheap thrills, especially if the products deliver. Carmex Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm gets kudos from me. First off, I love the sleek packaging. The slim packaging is perfect to keep in my pocket. It's definitely a step up from the traditional Carmex jar. Secondly, the lip balm delivers. Carmex Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm keeps my lips soft, moisturized and protects them from the sun! No waxy residue. And for $2.99, you definitely can't complain!

NARS Orgasm is gorgeous! Orgasm is a peachy-pink hue with accents of golden shimmer. If your complexion has olive or yellow undertones, Orgasm is for you! If your complexion is of darker skintone, Orgasm will probably be too light for you. For reference, I’m a MAC NC35 with strong yellow undertones and Orgasm gives my complexion a warm and healthy glow. This blush is finely milled and glides on easily onto my cheeks. So far it’s been my everyday go-to blush!

Tree Hut’s Almond and Honey Shea Body Butter did nothing to my dry skin. First off, the texture of the body butter felt like wax that made it difficult to remove the product from its jar. And secondly, the moisturizer does not absorb into your skin, but rather sits on top of skin leaving a sticky residue. Bottom Line - Skip Tree Hut’s Almond and Honey Shea Body Butter and get Bath and Body Work’s Body Butter instead.

If you are a beginner in eyeshadow application, Smoky Shadowblast is for you! CoverGirl Smoky Shadowblast is a great concept for makeup beginners. No brushes are necessary for application. The applicator wands were very easy to use. Step 1: Apply this side of the applicator all over your lid. Step 2: Apply the tapered end to the outer V of the eye. Then blend, blend and blend. Tempest Blue leaves a high metallic cream finish. Beware that Tempest Blue might be a too daring to wear in broad daylight! However, if you have oily lids, like I do, stay away from CoverGirl’s Smoky Shadowblast line. Within a matter of a couple hours, my eyeshadow started to crease. CoverGirl Smoky Shadowblast is ideal for those with normal to dry lids.

My new favorite lip balm is Nivea A Kiss of Moisture Lip Balm with SPF4. Uncapped, this unscented lip balm does remind me of a glue stick from elementary school - but it doesn’t stop it from its awesomeness! Nivea’s A Kiss of Moisture Lip Balm glides on smoothly and moisturizes my dry lips. No waxy feeling or residue. Priced at less than $3, Nivea A Kiss of Moisture Lip Balm is a steal!
