I already extolled the virtues of Liiv Botanicals by Avon Wellness facial care products in my what works beauty reveiw column, but the line has a good Rejuventating Body Wash, too. The clear gel smells like white florals, and comes in a round, plastic tube with delicate leaf graphic and a flip top. It has active plant extracts and hyper-oxygenated water to detoxify. Like the facial cleanser, I was surprised that this affordable product left my skin feeling really clean, and yet with a softness that lasted for hours without even adding a moisturizer! I can choose pricer brands, but this one works well, and I really LIKE it!

Benetint is BeneFit's original, much-loved, rose-tinted lip & cheek stain that adds a deep pink, sheer flush to your face, thanks to a blend-able liquid formula. It was introduced way back in 1977. I liked the idea back then and now, too, but I didn't like the color--it was simply too harsh for me. Now BeneFit has introduced Posietint $28.00 -- a rose-pink tint that makes your complexion actually look younger, with a subtle hit of color. It's really a better way to blush. BeneFit, what took you so long? Open the white cap of the pretty, metallic pink bottle and add three strokes of this new, sheer, pink, liqui-gel blush on the apples of your cheeks (or use it s a flattering lip stain) with the brush applicator. Now blend with your fingertips, and see yourself looking perky, healthy, pretty. TIPS: If your skin tends to be dry, moisturize lightly , first. You can also add another layer of color for more intensity. This Posietint blush looks incredibly natural and blends with your own skin coloring, to give you that "I'm in love" glow you haven't been able to get from a bottle -- until now! The new, Posietint pink blush is a much more flattering and up-to-date color. Even better, this multi-tasking pink stain/blush feels like you have on nothing at all -- that's a big plus whether you apply it on bare skin, or over a foundation or tinted moisturizer. Unlike creams, this gel formula stays true to color, and lasts for hours. Had a bad night? Feeling a bit under the weather? Look sallow in your office's horrible lighting? Need a youthful fix? Posietint has come to the rescue! The only downside is that if you don't work quickly, the product "stains" your cheeks where you put it and then you can't easily blend it. Work fast! This product is really pretty--and it's really pretty amazing-- and you'll definitely want it!

You will see smaller pores and reduced fine lines, over time. If you aren't a candidate for the stronger stuff, have skin conditions like rosacea. and/or you just don't need so much treatment, this is a perfect product. TIP: you can use this just on the T-zone where large pores and rough skin tend to be most noticeable, if you don't need or want an all-over treatment.

Auave Invisible Solid in "Unscented" is an impressive product that costs just pennies, but puts the final, cool and confident look on your fashion statement every day. I tried the invisible solid in an unscentedm stick formula that has as it's active ingredient, 20% aluminum chlorohydrate for wetness protection. The simple, swivel-up, light blue plastic compact works for men and women alike. I liked the fact that this Suave solid stick was available in unscented, especially for Summer wear, And more importantly, this solid stick of antiperspirant/deodorant tenaciously clung where I put it, refusing to melt off until we washed it off. There's also a formula for sensitive skin, and six, soft scents-something for everyone at a very modest price. Do everyone around you a favor--buy one and use it!

The Supernatural Airbrushed Canvas SPF 15 by Philosophy has both great packaging and a unique product inside. Crushed mineral powder foundation is housed in a shaker jar (with a mirror on the top and a twist-off bottom) attached to a soft, round, sponge applicator that lets you apply this multi-tasking foundation/concealer/sunblock without touching the product. The powder is buildable, with sheer to medium coverage, and it is fragrance free and hypoallergenic. You'll get a natural, matte finish, and the protection of SPF 15. But what makes this so great is not just that it is a good foundation--you can also use it as a spot concealer and as a finishing powder, too. The clean and easy packaging and the fact that it's not a liquid, will make it perfect for travel or toting to the beach. We tried "Beige" which will suit most medium skin tones as the product is fairly sheer, but the Supernatural is available in seven shades of neutral, warm and bronze to suit just about everyone.

Back acne--it's embarrassing, but lots of adults have it. Clinique has come to the rescue with their new, Acne Solutions Cleansing Bar for Face and Body--and it's a happy surprise! The semi-translucent, white solid bar looks elegant in a self, draining, ice-blue plastic, igloo-style case, but while the soap looks like any ordinary bar,. it really helps keep blemishes at bay. It combines exfoliating and blemish-controlling ingredients with oil-controlling and anti-irritation ingredients. The soap also helps to unclog and minimize pores, calm and soothe irritated skin and reduce the appearance of redness. Even better, using this soap will help prevent the conditions that can lead to breakouts. My first thought was that a product that does all this is probably hard and might dry out my skin, but it's surprisingly gentle, even though it has encapsulated salicylic acid and zinc PCA ( a mineral that helps control the build-up of oil on your skin and helps to reduce shine). The soft, creamy lather will make you feel as though you're using a luxurious spa product, but it will cleanse every part of your body and help to keep acne away. Of course, since it's Clinique it's non-acnegenic, allergy tested and fragrance free. I don't have bad acne, but I do break out sometimes in the Summer. Since using this bar--not a pimple in site, anywhere! If acne anywhere on your skin is a problem, we give think this new soap will be the answer

Avon's skincare products are always well priced and innovative. One I have just discovered is a Avon ANEW Rejuvenate Dial-A-Glow Anti-aging Moisturizer SPF 15. A dual chambered tube holds a self-tanner and the great, ANEW moisturizing, anti-aging cream that helps repair, reinforce, strengthen and actually stimulate the regeneration of new skin cells. Apply this one on clean, dry skin and after just one day you'll start to see a better looking complexion with a slight glow that evens out your skin tone & refines the look of pores. With regular use you'll see additional benefits as you would with other Avon ANEW products. I think this product offers just about the best of everything: SPF protection, a great glow, a moisturizer, and anti-aging bennies! But it gets even better: there's a clever dial numbered 1-4 on the tube, so you can dial up the exact amount of "glow" you want. This has to be one of the most versatile products we've seen. The totally portable product does so much, so well, for so little! Well done, Avon.

Bronzers and self-tanners and I have had a love/hate relationship for years (that's why my rating is lower than for other skin products) but if I venture into the "bronze age" I want a self-tanner that's easy to use, gets the color on my skin, evenly and easily, and lets me get to hard to reach places. L'Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Airbrush Self-Tanning Mist $9.99 does this, and more. This product in a spray can offers a super-fine mist that dries evenly and quickly (color begins to develop in about an hour) and that makes it great when you want to "faux-and-go." Working with your skin's amino acids, this "can of tan" comes in a "medium" shade that will look reasonably natural on many skin tones. The 360 degree nozzle makes it really easy to get into the hard to reach places, such as the back of your legs and your elbows. If deeper is better in your opinion, simply re-apply daily until you're happy with the depth of your "tan." To maintain the color, reapply 1 – 2 times per week. The product is ok.....the price is right. TIP: I like to try these types of products with a test patch in a place that's not "up front" on my skin first, to see if I'll be sensitive to the ingredients in it, and if it will turn me some terrible shade I don't want to see until it wears off. And, all ll self-tanning products work best when you give them a smooth surface to adhere to, so exfoliate before you "go for the faux."

I liked this silicone-based serum that instantly gave my skin a smoother feel and kept my makeup from looking dry and flaky (a plus in Winter and Summer). Serums are highly concetrated --a plus for some, but I think this is best for normal to dry skin (if yours is oily, use a bit more sparingly). You will still need a moisturizer after you apply a serum, and Skin Genesis has several good ones to match your skin type.

Seriously mature or damaged skin may need extra TLC...for many 20-50 somethings however, the product does a good job for everyday use for many skin types and won't put a big dent in your beauty budget.
