    Dior Diorblush

    Adore This

I have this in Peechy Keen. What I love about this is that they give you a two-tone palette with a shimmery and matte finish. You can dust the matte on the cheeks then dust the shimmer on the apples of your cheek to give it a glam look for the evening. It's sheer and medium pigmented so it creates a natural, buildable look to make it more dramatic. The product is also finely milled so it goes on softly and easily with a brush on your face but I do strongly recommend that you apply it with a much larger brush than provided with the palette however not as large as a powder brush. Their colors are subtle so in comparison to MAC, Lancome, and other department store products - Dior's blushes are more for the natural finish rather than the femme fatal poise. I do highly recommend it, it did not break out my hyper sensitive skin, nor did I ever need to touch it up going out while wearing this product. It's been two months and this case barely looks touched so a little bit does go a long way. This can be a pricey investment but with the uses I'm getting out of it, it's definitely worth each penny.

  • Dior Diorshow Black Out

Bat those eyelashes because this is a subtle way of flirtation, I tell you. With one to three strokes of the wand, those starving eyelashes become voluminous curves of beauty. This is a steep price to pay though to enhance one feature of the face, however, gives a great doe eye look and brightens the complexion with an awake look instead of sleepy eyes. Those with sensitive eyes should be cautious though as this caused me some mild irritation and after a while, I just decided to switch to a more gentle alternative with similar results with an even lighter price tag. Overall? It's a luxury but not the must have staple.

  • Dior Miss Dior Cherie Eau de Parfum

This is a pleasant aroma that's very feminine with a touch of spice. It's sheer if spritzed minimally on pulse points and can be layered on for the evening for a more glam scent, red carpet style, exposed within a certain range. The bottle is lovely and is perfect for the vanity mirror top because it's got a bow to represent feminity especially with a name it lives up to called Miss Dior Cherie, it needed it to top off the perfume's subtle high class reputation.

  • MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15

MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15

    Airbush Bottled

While I'm nagging my best friend in the whole about my own personal issues, having dinner with the family, working the club dancefloor, or striding along the mall floors, my makeup stays put. Studio Fix fluid has been a foundation that makes me a glamorous vixen converted from an ordinary girl next door. First of all, this foundation isn't going to melt off the face if set with a blot or loose translucent powder. Many people tend to forget that patting some powder on top of foundation is like baking cake, without the dough, you just have raw soup. This can be sheer to opaque in coverage so it can used everyday to just that one night with that one cute guy that you were making your cousin talk to at the wedding reception. One of the benefits is that it is oil free. For 1 oz. you can stretch this anywhere from two to seven months depending on how much coverage needed or usage. For $25.00, I consider this a mid range high end cosmetic that had delivered me better results than even more expensive brands. But let's talk about the cons, shall we? This doesn't photograph completely well, it does brighten the areas where it's applied so a white flash from a camera can result in a shade or two lighter than what you see in a mirror or regular daylight. The trick to counter this is applying a light dusting of bronzer to the outter areas of the face such as a quick dust on the forehead, temples, cheek hollows, and jawline. Be careful not to apply so much that it looks unnatural, just a couple light strokes will do. Next con, no pump. It's more sanitary to have a pump for a foundation so there are no messes spilled from the bottle nor is air exchanging bacteria inside and outside the bottle. A pump can be purchased, however, separately for this.

  • M.A.C. Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

Hey, it's completely all right if you don't have perfect skin because personally, I don't. Especially on days when I feel so out of my body because I lack sleep resulting from my insomnia and my skin decides to dull, this is a wonder. I've heard rants and raves about MAC foundations and that it highly congests the skin but yet my hyper sensitive skin made a pact with it. I've used this product since I was about fifteen and it hasn't contributed to my skin issues I had with different skincare lines and other cosmetics. It's a smooth powder foundation combination so there isn't a need to multiply the number of steps for this deal. The sponge can be used on the go but it looks so amazingly flawless when used with a large powder or kabuki brush and buffed in circular motion into the skin. Almost seven years since I've started using this and it has stood it's territory in my makeup case. Long lasting? You bet. Although for those who have oily skin, this is recommended because it has silica which absorbed extra oils but seals in moisture simultaneously. Now for a price tag of $25.00, this usually will last me about most of the year ranging anywhere from four to seven months depending on my usage. I usually have more coverage in the summer because my skin tends to be hyperpigmented when it has bathed in the sun too long even with higher sunscreen protection. It's completely buildable in coverage ranging from sheer to full but it shouldn't be reapplied mid day if you tend to shine; a simple blot film or translucent powder will do the job and it should be refreshed. Too much of this foundation will indicate itself by looking caked on but it can be thinned out with MAC's fix spray or their charge waters. While this can be compared to Make Up For Ever's Duo Mat Powder Foundation, MAC's Studio Fix Powder is much more shade reliable in my opinion, it doesn't highly oxidize to the point where it's a completely different shade whereas Make Up For Ever's foundations do so. This can also just set the Studio Fix Fluid to blur any lines and even out the whole look into an airbrush finish that totally looks natural. This has been the only foundation that matched my skin perfectly in shade, delivered a nice coverage, and is velvety to the touch. I can't say enough great compliments about this.

  • MAC Disc Sponge

    MAC Disc Sponge

    Controllable Application

I have to be completely thankful MAC sponges are quite the high quality yet inexpensive item for application. First of all, this latex based sponge isn't super absorbent so the waste of product is eliminated yet it picks up enough formula to even disperse a thin layer of makeup all around the face creating smooth buildable layers. The product does sit mostly atop the surface and adheres well until it's buffed into the skin. Don't get me wrong though, sponges are no match when it is compared to a makeup brush but it is the next best thing. And because this item is durable, you can rewash it without affecting the materials in it which helps minimize bacteria build up and for blemish prone people, this may be your best bet for an alternative of hand usage. This way, oils bacteria and dirt aren't absorbed into the skin from your fingertips.

    Clinique Liquid Facial Soap

    Make-Up Remover BE GONE!

I've found this to be the utmost best cleanser in the world and for such a great amount comes a reasonable price as you only need to dispense such little product that lathers invigorously onto the face and exacuates dirt from the pores and crevices in the skin. The best advantage yet that I have experience with other cleansers? No stiff dryness, flakiness, or tightness. This is a gel/liquid formula that won't exagerrate oiliness after cleansing like cream cleansers may with oily skin. I have oily and combination skin yet I adore this. The pump delivers a decent amount that won't disappoint while keeping contamination at minimal risk by no exposure to open air or other particles that may be mixed with open top bottles/tubes and jar wide cleansers. This even fights away stubborn makeup without the pre-usage of a makeup remover.

    Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Gel

What was this supposed to do again?

Week 1, no results. Week 2, still nothing. Week 3. I saw something and it's a frown on my face from seeing that this was't a very effective product. I don't know how anyone feels about slathering strawberry glaze across their face feels but it sure matches up to it. There are no effects and it doesn't absorb and has a bit of a greasy feel. Then when it finally dried, you'll find that you stick toilet paper to your face in different regions... not that I've tried.

  • Ole Henriksen Pure Perfection

While this was meant to nourish skin, I found it a bit irritating and accentuated my pores. Two weeks post usage, my skin began to break out and it was congested. While it's true it's meant for dry skin, it also states anti-aging claims. I probably won't be using it long enough to notice a difference since a couple uses alone caused redness in my cheeks where I am dry. $45.00 for a jar that compromises my skin texture and brought to light more flaws, I'll skip out. No, thank you.

    Let's Burn Cash

Unimpressive and uneffective, this product went on like a thin film and absorbed quickly onto my skin. Now, with a nourishing feeling that it delivered, it's own promises it did not. This left my skin feeling greasy and oily within an hour and did not live up to their claim. For thirty five dollars, you're better off purchasing a drugstore non-comedegenic lightweight moisturizer, a sunscreen, facial wash, a toner, and a scrub that will all work more effectively than this jar of undelivering hope.
