  • Clinique Powder Foundation Brush

Lots of bristles, soft, gives a smooth application. What more could you ask for? Oh yeah, for it to be a bit cheaper. Still, all the good brushes seem to come in about the same price range.

BareMinerals Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15

Easy to use, not good for dry or uneven skin

I love the bareMinerals eye makeup and even though I rarely wear foundation I thought I'd give it a try. Well, this doesn't really work for me. I tend to have dry skin and this accentuated any areas that had dry flaky skin. I also wouldn't recommend this for anyone who touches their face a lot unless you use a primer because it does come off pretty easily. The pluses is that it did feel nice while wearing it and in places that my skin wasn't dry or uneven it did even out my complexion beautifully. I ended up giving it to a friend who has an amazing complexion as it is, but she enjoyed it to cut down redness on her face.

    Burt's Bees Peppermint Shower Soap

    Nice refreshing soap

I really enjoy Burt's Bees soaps because they tend to be long lasting. This soap is also quite refreshing. The mint is pretty strong so the scent fills the shower when you use it. I also get a slight tingle from it. I also like how it rinses clean leaving my skin feeling like it is truly clean.

  • Burt's Bees Doctor Burt's Res-Q Ointment

This is a nice ointment for soothing bug bites and minor scrapes. Some people will want the tingle of some insect bite soothers, but this one is very mild. It is full of natural ingredients so I don't worry about slathering it on. I've had one pot for over two years so if you only use it for bites and scrapes it should last a long time. The tiny tin is also great for throwing into a backpack for hikes. I don't know if it really helped with the healing of my various scrapes, cuts and burns but it felt nice having it on.

    Clinique Happy To Be

    Average Lasting Power

I'm not really a fan of the Happy line, but this is probably the scent I like the most from Clinique Happy. Generally the hyper sweet/floral combos don't go well with me. My rating is based on length of wear and value. It has an average staying power which compared to other perfumes I suppose is a pretty good value for the price. The nice thing is that there are body washes and creams in the same line that you can layer and get even more staying power. But I think this scent may have been discontinued so you'll need to snap it up during clearance.

  • Garnier Fructis Style Play Style Reshapable Putty

This isn't that great if you need your hair to stay in exactly one place. It isn't super reshapable, but I did find if I pushed my bangs to one side they stayed in that general area. The scent and price are really great so I'm willing to be more forgiving of this than the more expensive brands. It gives a nice texture to short hair, I think it is a bit to sticky for longer hair. I stopped wanting to use it once my hair grew past about 4 inches. When my hair is short and going to stay short, I go ahead and buy a tub of this, when I know I'm going to grow it, I try and find something that can transition to longer hair better.

  • Garnier Fructis Style Surf Hair Texture Paste

This paste is good for the high-texture, tousled look of surfers. Don't use too much or it will just weigh the hair down. My boyfriend has shirt curly hair and loves this stuff. I've had short to medium straight hair using this product. I prefer using it on my short hair for the messy bed-head look. On longer hair it needs to be used sparingly and it is easy to go overboard and weigh hair down. I also love the scent and the fact that it is so inexpensive!

  • Garnier Fructis Style Brilliantine Shine Water-Based Shine Wax

The scent of this line is pretty fabulous and used sparingly this is a great wax. For very short hair it gives a shiny piecey look. With longer hair I'd use just a tiny dab to put a bit of body in the bangs, add shine and keep down flyaways. Be careful not to use to much or it will look greasy not shiny. If you are looking for a lot of hold, I'd recommend trying something else unless you want a very shiny mane (as in looking oily). I love how inexpensive this wax is.

  • Clinique Happy Perfume Spray

My rating is based on length of wear and value. I find it hard to rate perfumes on the scent because they react with body chemistries differently and everyone likes to smell different things. That being said, I don't like the scent of this perfume. The citrus/floral blend doesn't go well with me. That being said I find this stuff to have average staying power so it is a pretty good value for the money. Plus it can be layered with the matching body wash or body lotion which means you can power up your fragrance even more.

  • Clinique Full Potential Lips Plump and Shine

Clinique Full Potential Lips Plump and Shine

    Beautiful sheen, but sticky

I'm not 100% sold on this yet. I love lip glosses and this one gives a really high shine, but it is really sticky. It is flavorless and has a bunch of different colors. The colors aren't super obvious on the lip, but there is definitely noticeable color. There is a slight tingle when putting it on, but I don't know if I believe that lip plumpers work at all. The glossiness is why I can't give up on it quite yet, I just love how my lips look! This is good for a night out where you won't be eating much and won't be kissing.
