  • Aveeno Anti-Itch Concentrated Lotion

    Aveeno Anti-Itch Concentrated Lotion

    Great for my Allergy-Prone Skin

This Aveeno lotion has saved me many times from skin allergies. The only thing I like more is to actually submerge myself in a relaxing Aveeno bath while I try to calm whatever skin ailment I'm currently having. This stuff is just thick and creamy enough so that it spreads around easily, but melts into the skin as well. I've used it on healing sunburns, on plant allergies, and even razor burn. Love this stuff!

  • The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Creamy Body Wash

This cocoa butter body wash leaves my skin softly scented and very, very smooth. It's beyond creamy in texture, but the weirdest thing about it is that it's really difficult to get it to come out of the bottle! It creeps on out as slow as molasses while I desperately wait in anticipation to get my shower over before the hot water goes out. I love this formula for my super-sensitive skin and it's in regular rotation with my other shower gels/washes.

  • Clinique Antiperspirant-Deodorant Roll-On

I have a love/hate relationship with this deodorant. I know that it's fragrance free and that's usually better for my skin, but I really miss having a deodorant with fruits and flowers jumping out of it. This is a clear deodorant that doesn't cause my skin to rash out like some deodorants, and doesn't leave marks on my clothes. The feel of it, though, is odd because it stays a little sticky until it dries. It just feels oddly wet. And there is a bit of a smell to it, just the ingredients of course, but it's not really an appealing smell. I don't have a heavy body odor, but sometimes I feel like I do when I wear this. Especially if I wear a shirt more than once. This one is compact and easy to keep in my purse in case I forget to wear deodorant, though, so for that I'm thankful.

  • Clinique Chubby Stick Instense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm

The newer version of the now-iconic Chubby Stick is my personal favorite. It has the same silky smooth feel of the original formula, but packs a much heavier punch of color. My favorite shade is Mightiest Maraschino--a super bright cherry red shade. I still wear a lipliner with this particular shade, just because reds tend to move around on me. Because these formulas are infused with shea butter, they're good for your lips too! My suggestion would be to test out a few shades. If you are seeking a great nude, try Curviest Caramel. Deeper skintones look great with the flashy Grandest Grape. And of course if you're a pale princess like me, try Mightiest Maraschino on for size. Don't forget the lipliner!

  • Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes

These crayon-like eye shadows are so darn easy to apply. I love any form of Chubby Sticks that Clinique wants to put out! But Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes is just a mouthful! The truth about these squat little eye pencils is that they're super smooth and easy to slick on your lids even if you're doing a last minute makeup application in the parking lot before your job starts. Although Clinique's newest powder eye shadows have an unbeatable quality to them, these little guys are great as an eye shadow base or alone. I prefer to use them as bases, personally, because I like a really bold eye shadow look. The colors of these are gorgeous and all of them have a lot of pigmentation with a metallic sheen. My favorites are Lots o' Latte and Ample Amber. The best base color is Bountiful Beige, but pair these with your favorite powder shades for a custom look too. And as with any chubby stick, you don't have to sharpen these (although you may have to reshape them if you put your eye shadow on with a heavy hand).

  • Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter

The best thing about this product, besides how well it works, is that it's fragrance free. This product does everything it claims to do. It's great for those rough spots like knees and elbows, but also fantastic to make the rest of your body feel soft and smooth. Perfect for allergy sufferers too! It's very, very rich, though, so you only need a little bit to go a very long way!

  • Estee Lauder Modern Muse

Estee Lauder is very clearly trying to capture a new younger market with its newest fragrance, Modern Muse. The bottle is sleek, chic, and topped with a bow. Even the model, Miss Arizona Muse, breathes nothing but youthful elegance. Their newest fragrance has what they call a "dual impression" formula. What this means is that they take 2 very different smells and smash them together into one pretty little bottle. All jokes aside, one of the impressions is full of jasmine, honeysuckle, and other pretty white flowers. The other impression is more woodsy with warm notes like amber and sandalwood. The theory behind this fragrance is that your body chemistry will cause this to smell way different than mine. But the problem is, my body chemistry just didn't like it. It faded quickly on my skin and left the slightest hint of flowers behind. Most of the people who have tried it really love the woodsier notes of it. I guess I just really don't get the same feel from it. You have to try it on--you can't just give it a whiff. Not to mention wear it around a while. It changes on your skin like crazy! But give it a chance and maybe you'll have a new muse.

    Illamasqua Nail Varnish

    So Glad I Tried!

This nail polish is actually pretty spectacular. I have a beautiful matte peach shade called "Monogamous". One coat was enough on most of my nails, but I did two coats anyway. It goes on quite smoothly and dries rather quickly as well. I love wearing it on a longer oval nail shape. The only reason I don't give it 10 stars is because there are the slightest little bubbles here and there and I gave it plenty of time to dry between coats. They're really not noticeable, though. This is a great "something more than nude" shade for me because I'm very, very pale (MUFE #110). I bought this shade in an Illamasqua Mystery Box and I can't wait to buy more. You won't be disappointed!

  • Estee Lauder Tuscany Per Donna Eau de Parfum Spray

This fragrance. Oooh, this fragrance. It was indescribably bad. I sprayed some on my forearm to test it. My mother-in-law raves about this fragrance as her favorite. I literally reeled back from the stench when I snuck a sniff of my arm. It was awful! The peony scent is so overwhelming. My coworker and I decided that it's somewhere between baby lotion and "old lady purse". I gave it three stars because while I can't stand this particular scent, it did stay on my arm--ALL DAY.

  • Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator

So maybe it's just because I have a ton of redness, but I really, really like this product! The golden shimmer isn't noticeable on my skin (especially because foundation, moisturizer, and sunscreen follow this serum). My favorite part about it is putting it on and literally watching the redness melt away. That was something that I thought money could not buy! Upon having this serum applied, I seriously wanted to yell, "Just take my money already!" It was that amazing for me. I've used it on other fair-skinned gals who have redness problems and they too noticed an immediate difference. I can't say if it has had long-term effects yet, as I just started using it, but I'll be damned if I don't love the instant gratification I get!!!
