This eyeliner is super pigmented (I have the color black), stays in place all day and all night, resists smudges, and is easy to apply. I find the brush to be soft and flexible enough to swoop down from the tip of my cat-eye outer corner to the inner corner of my eye, but firm enough to get an even line without the color spreading out or creating gaps. It also dries quite quickly, which is good for getting ready in a hurry. I wouldn't recommend this for liquid liner-virgins unless trial-and-error with application is expected and accepted. Honestly, I don't see a reason to pay any more for liquid eyeliner with a great product such as this.

I've used this line of Wet n Wild lipsticks in true red/bluish red "Stoplight Red" and black-purple "Vamp It Up", and for both I can say the color payoff is fantastic for the price. The "matte" formula is truly quite creamy, leaving me a little confused as to why it's marketed as matte, but it's nice to know it's more moisturizing than a typical matte lipstick. I personally dislike the tube's packaging because in the process of uncapping I end up scraping off some lipstick onto the cap, but once I use up enough color I shouldn't have that problem... Overall, I think this is a good line of lipsticks for all levels of makeup users.

This mascara exceeded my expectations for a long-lasting mascara that makes my lashes voluminous sans clumps. I think it's silly Revlon's newest mascara for volume has such a large brush because I think this tiny brush does the trick. I find I can adjust how much product I want to go onto my lashes by how much I push on the product; a light hand creates subtle definition, and a good wiggling back and forth deposits the formula in the brush head's pockets (a unique feature). Getting into the inner and outer corners of my lashes is also much easier thank to the smaller bush. I'm amazed how plump yet defined my lashes remain after what I consider to be a heavy coat of mascara. This may be the greatest drugstore mascara I've used!

I bought "Pink Passion" because I wanted to try out a true pink blush for cheap. And did I get cheap... Hardly any came off the pan when I swiped with a brush or my finger, and the top layer was more orange than its ~true~ color of highlighter pink. I find it ridiculous that I should have to rub so hard to get some color at any price. I've tossed the blush and don't plan on purchasing another.

"Baked" makeup products have made me nervous because they usually have these bits of gold or colored shimmer that make me feel sparkly instead of bronzed or blushed. I've also tried blushes that would rather stay in the pan than go on my cheeks and/or leave the face party way to early. Luckily, Milani has created a party animal of a baked blush. It's super pigmented and long-lasting, and what I love is that the shimmer in the package (I have the shade Luminoso) stays subtle upon application to give me a radiant glow. I haven't bought a department store/high-end blush, and after trying this bad baby out I don't see myself doing so for a very long time.

Bronzer can be quite tricky - some powders are too orange or too dark and may even have gold flecks in them that scream, I dare you to apply me all over your face! NYC's bronzer not only lacks these love-to-hate flecks but also has a nice terracotta color that doesn't appear to harsh my olive-toned skin. The sponge with the compact is honestly a waste of time and material; I use a kabuki brush (and a light hand) to add definition or else to balance out a foundation that is a smidge too light; as there can be quite a bit of fallout from the compact I always tap the brush against the edge of the compact as well as never push the brush into the product. I'm very happy with this bronzer and definitely recommend giving it a try.

Pinterest is always introducing me to lipstick dupes and shades that look too good to pass up. This type of New York Color lipstick has a shade that looks akin to "Sin" by MAC, called "Mahogany". I've had trouble in the past finding an oxblood drugstore lipstick that applies evenly--no one wants to see the second application wipe away the first. Luckily, this product seems to resist these wipe-away shenanigans and the color applied on the lips closely matches the color of the bullet, which is that nice oxblood. The texture is quite creamy but, with the help of some lipliner, stays put for hours. The packaging is unfortunately cheap in appearance and functionality, as the clear top is easily smudged by the lipstick, but for 99 cents the lipstick itself is quite good quality.

I'm not a big fan of colored powder to set my foundation, so I decided to given Revlon a try after my higher-end powder ran out. While its mattifying powder is good enough, there are gold flecks that are quite noticeable on the skin. While I will use this until I hit pan to not waste product, I will not be purchasing this powder again.

The protein complexes promising to help my lashes grow come with a quite unpleasant smell I can only describe as "natural" even though other natural/organic mascaras I've tried have smelled better. The formula is very watery, so it washes off easily, but smudges easily. The brush has no bells and whistles and is powerless to even out clumps that may arise. It adds a teensy bit of volume to my lashes, and I've only noticed this when I've paired it with another mascara to make my lashes stand out more. The black pigment looks the same on my lashes regardless of whether I've applied one coat or three. There are plenty of other mascaras for the same dirt cheap price that are of higher quality.

This "masque", made with plaintain, smells super yummy and is quite the treat to apply. As the product comes in a jar, figuring out how to get it onto my scalp was at first tricky but eventually I perfected the art of eyeballing how much to scoop up with my fingertips. In the winter my scalp is still oily but develops dandruff, so I was worried the masque would relieve my dandruff at the cost of making my scalp seem oilier, but as long as I completely rinsed out the product I didn't have to take more frequent showers or use more dry shampoo. That being said, when I applied this post-shower I found myself spending a lot of time half an hour later making sure every last bit of masque went down the drain. Otherwise, my hair did start to look dirtier sooner. As for dandruff, I didn't notice outstanding results, but I also started using the masque later in the winter when the worst of my dandruff seemed to have passed, plus I'd rather use an organic and more sustainable product than harsh chemicals.
