  • Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Facial Peel

It may be a little early to judge, but I've used this product 3 times in the past 2 weeks and have not seen much of a difference. Immediately afterwards my skin looked a bit smoother, but after about a day it was back to how it looked originally. Works well as a plain old exfoliator scrub, but definitely can't be compared to a real facial peel. It guess it's good for a cheaper drugstore brand, but don't expect miracles!

    Natural brows

It's a great answer for thin or sparse, overplucked brows! For those times you get a little over zealous with the tweezers, this is a nice way to fill your brows in while you wait for them to grow out again. For more precision, use the 266 brush, which I normally reserve for the putting on Fluid Line. I have black hair but use the Walnut/Ivoire color for my brows. The ivoire highlighter side clashes a bit with my skin tone and is a little too matte to use as a highlighter, in my opinion. But the walnut side makes it well worth it anyway.

  • M.A.C. Mineralize Skinfinish Natural

I've tried and loved most of MAC's liquid and powder foundations, alternating between them according the weather and the seasons and for the look I'm going for. I tried this in Medium Deep from the N-collection and I think I've found my new holy grail powder, meaning I may never go back to using anything else! It's only a sheer to light coverage, so what I like to do is to pair this with a very light liquid foundation. I use MAC's face & body foundation in C4, applied with their 109 face brush. After that, use a big fluffy brush and put some of this mineralized skin finish on and the results are really really beautiful. Your skin looks flawless and REALLY natural. Not quite matte, not quite dewey- just really fresh and young and ethereal. I might go and buy a few more since it is limited edition! Thanks MAC!

M.A.C. Studio Face and Body Foundation

    Great light alternative

Great for those days when your skin isn't acting up too much and you're looking good and you don't want to pile a heavier foundation on. The claims are true about it being water resistant too! Holds up really well- I even pulled my shirt over my head at the end of the day and didn't get makeup all over the collar.

  • BareMinerals Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15

I finally bought it on a whim after watching the infomercial a million times. I also heard wonderful things about it from word of mouth, so I wasn't prepared for how disappointed I would be with this. I used it for over two weeks, thinking that maybe my application technique was off. I really really tried to like this product and get into the whole natural mineral makeup thing. Even after trying all possibiities, it still falls flat of being a good product, at least for me. I find it settles into large pores and although you could add more coverage with more powder, the more you add the more plastic your skin starts to look. Yuck! I don't like the overall look, or the feel, or the mess, or the low quality brushes they force you to buy. A lot of people seem to like this product a lot, but I'm just not one of them.

  • Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

I'm so glad Clinique finally made this in a gel version for oilier skin. The original lotion was already close to perfect, but this slightly different version is even more fantastic. Keeps oily skin less shiny, wears extremely well under makeup. It really really really does live up to its claims of improving your skin over time. You'll have plumper, softer more supple skin within a month! You might want to get a makeup primer or makeup with SPF in it though to protect you from the sun, as this does not have any SPF in it.

  • Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle Serum

Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle Serum

    Longer, but not stronger

30% in 5 days is a little far fetched, but it really does make your nails grow. I'd say to give it two weeks to see real results. I don't think they necessarily made them stronger however, they broke just as frequently as they did when they were shorter.

  • Neutrogena Body Oil

Smooth a tiny of this on while still damp after your shower and it is truly like heaven. Your bathroom will have that light sesame smell...my goodness. I cannot even explain it! Makes your skin so so soft. If you layer your lotion on top of it, it stays on your skin underneath it and is just fabulous. Highly recommended, this is truly wonderful (and cheap too)!

  • Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser

    Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser

    Could be a little stronger

I have oily/combination skin and wear makeup, and this cleanser is a tad ineffective in terms of taking all the grime and buildup off my face at the end of the day. Sometimes I will wash twice and still find traces of makeup on the cotton ball when I apply toner afterwards. Would recommend this for sensitive/dry skins who don't wear a lot of makeup only.

  • Shiseido Pureness Matifying Moisturizer Oil-Free
    6.0

    Shiseido Pureness Matifying Moisturizer Oil-Free

Pretty good, almost there but not quite

Here's the thing about this moisturizer- most people use it because they have oily skin (like I do), with the hopes that it will help to control shine and create a nice matte finish. This works well in the summer because it's a very light, almost watery lotion and soaks in really quickly. However, I wouldn't use it in the summer because there is no SPF. In terms of winter use, I wouldn't use it then either because it isn't rich enough to treat those random dry patches you might get from the colder and dryer weather. But all of that aside, this moisturizer is pretty good. Feels fresh and light, but doesn't matify in the same way that Smashbox primer would or Clinique pore refining cream would. It's matte but still slightly...dewey? Does that make sense? Worth trying, but not on super dry skins.
