I have tried so many self-tanners over the years and I am very picky when it comes to one for my face. This one is the best. It is a dark tinted liquid that you apply to a cotton pad and glide over your face like you would a toner. I use it on my face, neck, and chest. The color is instantly almost perfect, but when it is washed off, the light color is perfect for my skin tone. I only need to use it twice a week, as it maintains it's color and fades naturally. Love it!!!

I have not used loose powder for so long, but when this one came along I do not know why I stopped. This powder is perfect - I love the translucent version which appears almost white, but it is not. It is a sheer, very light and airy, leaving the perfect finish to set foundation, with the right amount of light particles that are evenly dispersed over skin when applies, defering light to and from where it should and shouldn't be to make skin appear more flawless. This is so worth the money, coming in a HUGE jar - and you only need a teeny bit to finish your face.

This leave-in conditioner not only helps to smooth hair, makes it easier to brush, tames tangles, fly-aways and frizz, but it contains UV protection. It protects hair from the sun and environment, helping to keep hair more hydrated, conditioned and color-protected. Love it, and cannot go a day without in the Summer months.

This is the perfect body polish to get rid of rough dry skin and dry patches and bumps. I use it a few times a week and it is perfect for prepping skin prior to self-tanning. I do not use this on the day I will apply a self-tanner, but a day or two before. I think that the salicylic acid can mess with your skins pH balance which is very important when self-tanning. But using this polish for a few weeks before your begin the self-tanning routine and then a few times a week on opposite days, your skin will be so smooth, and perfectly prepped for the faux tan.

MAC is one of my favorite all around brands, but I just cannot use this bronzer. No matter which shade I have chosen, it does not look natural on me. It does blend well and is highly pigmented so it lasts all day. For some reason though, the highly pigmented formula just looks ruddy on my skin, and makes my tone look more dirty than bronze.

A high definition volume mascara describes Perfectionist Mascara from Estee Lauder the best. This must-try mascara was hidden deep in my bag I got from the CEW Beauty Awards that I attended with Total Beauty, in what seems like ages ago. It is no wonder that Projectionist is a finalist out of the 600 some products entered. This is a mascara that gives me volume while separating my lashes and keeping them long, all at the same time. I love the bigger spooly brush and how it is tapered at the tip, making application on my lower lashes a cinch. I have found that slowly working the wand up and through my lashes works best, and usually only this one coat is needed. A night time or for extra drama might have may applying another coat or two, depending on how much I want to play up the lashes.

Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20
Tinted Moisturizer and Primer in one.
I am thrilled to have found Smooth Operator by Tarte. This liquid foundation that is squeezed out of a tube glides on over my face, hiding little imperfections flawlessly. It feels almost like a moisturizing primer, thanks to it's new "water-in-silicone" formula. The pigments are light diffused to help blend fine lines and wrinkles away, only allowing a fresh and natural look to the finish. Besides the formula having your daily SPF 20 in it, it also contains great natural goodness from the infused ginko biloba and ginseng, plus a powerful antioxidant blend of Vitamins A, C, and E.

I pulled out the giant bottle of green oil and tested a bit on my hand. It smelled nice and glided over my hands. It did not feel overly oily like an olive oil cleanser. I was ready to give it a try. When placing the box down, I noticed in big bold letters the two words my face does not like to see or hear: Mineral Oil. I rarely break out from anything at all. But when I have had a breakout or two, I always notice that Mineral Oil was in the said product used and thus concluded that my face does not like it. I could not use this. Well, not on my face anyway. I will tell you how I am using this oil and it has done wonders for me. I squirt out one pump and rub it on my hands. The backs of my hands, the palms, my cuticles, under my nails. Within seconds it is absorbed and my skin so smoothe and looking much younger than they really are. Next time I bathe my feet, I plan to use Cleansing Beauty Oil on my feet.

La Mer The Treatment Fluid Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15
This foundation got me back into the liquids.
I have not been so impressed with a foundation in a long time. And you know I try many of them. Instantly my face is lightened and brightened with this makeup. The color Ivory is perfect for my pale skin tone and it blends easily into my jawline for no line of demarcation. I have experimented in application by applying simply with my fingers, a sponge, a sponge to blend what I apply to my face, and I also even tried applying with a foundation brush. I have found that pumping the foundation out of the pump twice onto the back of my hand, dotting the makeup on my forehead, chin, and upper cheekbones and then blending this out with a sponge works very well for a lighter coverage. I then take what is left of the foundation on my hand and run the sponge through it and blend on the more red parts of my cheeks for a bit heavier coverage. After a long day, the foundation looks just as flawless on my skin than it does as when I first applied it. La Mer’s The Treatments Fluid Foundation SPF has a retail price of $75 for 1 oz., which admittedly is more than I ever thought I would spend for a foundation. But seeing the difference in how I look and feel about my skin on a daily basis makes this a splurge worth making.

Yes, I have aging hair, but I wish this formula were just targeted for hair - maybe dry and brittle hair. Not aging hair though. I really do like the shampoo, and my 12 year old daughter has even been using it. It is nice and thick, you only need a bit, it smells nice, and it lathers really well. I just do not get how it is marketed for younger looking hair.
