  • Burt's Bees Rosemary Mint Shampoo Bar
    10.0

Burt's Bees Rosemary Mint Shampoo Bar

Works best on short, normal-oily hair.

This product works great on short, normal to oily hair. If your hair is long, you will probably have a hard time lathering up with this shampoo bar (it doesn't have the chemicals most "normal" shampoos do that make them lather up like crazy to make you feel like you're getting clean) and, because hair ends are naturally drier than the roots, it will probably dry your ends out. I believe the product actually says on the packaging that it works best on shorter hair. And if your hair is very dry regardless of its length, this may be too drying for it as it is a soap. As I menthioned above, it won't lather up like your average shampoo because Burt's skipped the chemicals that make other shampoos do that, so if the bubbles are an important part of your washing routine, this is not the product for you. When I used Burt's Shampoo Bar a few years ago my hair was about 1/2 to 2 inches long and oily, and I loved the results. My hair felt soft and clean, didn't have any weird residue, smelled great, and I had the added benefit of not worrying about parabens and the like. This product is a good values for the money and travels well in a little soap dish. I'd recommend this to anyone whose hair fits the above criteria and who wants to try a natural product. 10 out of 10.

  • Wet n Wild MegaBrilliance Lip Gloss

Wet n Wild MegaBrilliance Lip Gloss

    Not bad and super cheap.

I bought this as a stand-in when I didn't have my regular gloss. It's one of the cheapest choices at the drugstore, but the product isn't bad at all. Not very moisturizing, but most glosses aren't. Not much color, but lots of sparkly bits and shine, so it works great to spice up nude lips or on top of your favorite color. The texture is on the thicker side (not too sticky though), and the fragrance is fresh and fruity. Decent lasting power. The packaging is small and sleek - convenient for small purses or pockets. Not the best gloss I've ever tried, but certainly a fantastic value for the money.

    Bonne Bell Lip Lites

Great gloss, especially for the money.

This gloss gives a great shine and sparkle, and smells and tastes great. It isn't particularly moisturizing, so I wear it on top of a lip balm/conditioner. The texture is great - lighweight and slick for hours. The value is also a plus.

  • Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer

I really enjoy this lip color, along with most Burt's products! The name is a little misleading - some of the shades do indeed shimmer (my fave shimmer - Nutmeg, a warm, almost orangey gold), some don't (my fave - Rhubard - a soft, natural pink). I own but rarely wear Coffee - its rich burgundy-brown (no shimmer here either) is too dark for my pale skin and freckles. The texture is fantastic - goes on soft and smooth - and it has Burt's signature minty tingle. You do have to reapply relatively often, but it's a pleasure every time.

  • Burt's Bees Radiance Body Lotion

    Burt's Bees Radiance Body Lotion

Light moisture and a natural glow.

This lotion gives your skin a nice, natural glow and seems to firm it as well (I don't think this is one of its claims, but nice nonetheless). Has a pleasant, fresh scent, and lasts a while. The moisture level is perfect for my usually-normal-sometimes-dry-in-spots skin. As always, BB uses natural ingredients. Great stuff!

  • Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil

This stick lip balm softens and smoothes lips quite well and has a pleasant tart smell/taste. It's not tingly like the original BB's lip balm, and a bit more lightweight. The pink color of the stick might turn off some guys, but it does not actually deposit any color on the lips. Works great alone or with other lip products. As all BB's products it's made with natural ingredients. Great stuff.

  • Burt's Bees Pore Refining Mask
    10.0

    Burt's Bees Pore Refining Mask

One of the best masks I've found.

This mask is admittedly a little messy to use. It comes in a powder and you mix it yourself - with water or one of several fruit juices depending on your skin type. Once it's mixed though, you've got one of the best skin masks ever on your hands (sometimes literally - I mix mine in the palm of my hand!). It feels cool and tingly as you use it and immediately afterwards. It helps control acne breakouts and minimize pores, and makes my skin feel smooth and refreshed. It's a good deal, being pretty cheap and lasting for about ever... and it's a super fun green color! If you have oily, blackhead-prone skin like I do, you're sure to love it. May not be as awesome for very dry skin, being a clay mask - you might want to ask around if that's what you're working with.

  • Burt's Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser

Burt's Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser

Great for dry skin, I imagine.

This cleanser was too rich/thick/oily for my already oily skin. The consistency as you apply it is waxy, and it does not foam as you use it. Rather you massage it over your skin and rinse (and rinse some more - it's quite thick). It leaves a bit of a residue which I imagine is great for dry skin as the cleanser is made out of natural, moisturizing ingredients that'll protect the skin. In my case, the residue made my skin look even oilier. The smell is quite nice - spicy and citrucy. The bottom line is I'd recommend this to anyone who has dry skin and doesn't require that their cleanser foam. Oilier skin types will probably be disappointed.

  • Burt's Bees Herbal Complexion Stick
    9.0

    Burt's Bees Herbal Complexion Stick

    Good anti-blemish product.

Seems to work against blemishes pretty well. It has a strong medicinal scent you may or may not like, and might dry skin a little - but it's only meant to be used in spots so I'm ok with that. I'm not crazy about the roller-ball applicator because I'm just imagining the dirt, oil, and skin cells getting rolled into the unused product as I apply. Other than that it's a good anti-blemish product without all the gross chemicals most others of its kind contain. Would be a 10 if the applicator were a little more sanitary.

  • Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme
    10.0

    Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme

    Great foot moisturizer.

This is more of an ointment than a creme - it feels greasy as you're applying it, but that's a good thing considering all that "grease" is coconut and other natural oils, which, if you wear it under socks like the product suggests, soaks into your feet overnight and makes them feel quite soft and smooth. I wouldn't put it on in the morning unless you plan on wearing socks and shoes too: I tried it with flip-plops one summer day and was slipping all over the place. The coconutty scent is strong but pleasant, and a little of the product goes a long way, making it a good deal for the money. Use it overnight with socks and you won't be disappointed. 10 out of 10.
