My salon sells TIGI exclusively and has been hawking the new, sleekly packaged Hair Reborn line, so I tried the shampoo and conditioner duo for my hair type. The shampoo was ok, though nothing special. However, the conditioner felt thin to me. My thick locks drank it up but were still tangly and slightly brittle afterward. At this price, it shouldn't just work, it should be great. No thanks, TIGI.

I'd never heard of this product or the brand, and bought this on a whim. It is thick and the directions instruct you to rake an egg-sized dollop onto your hair, where you leave it for a few minutes. It promises soft, silky hair that will grow past "that certain length" that your hair has otherwise always stopped at. I used the whole container, and each time, my thick, curlyish hair felt soft and silky and had a nice bounce the way healthy hair should. I'm not sure about the growth rate, but my hair grows quickly anyway. The scent is heavy an musky. I don't mind it, but some might, which is the reason I'm docking it one star.

Oh how I love this. I rarely have the time or inclination to straighten my thick curlyish hair, but when I do, I sure hope I'm not out of this. A little goes a long way -- a really long way. (Listen, this mop I have will sure suck up some lesser brands.) It works even better with the Serie Liss Shampoo and Conditioner, but holy moly that stuff is expensive, so it's rare that I have all three at the same time.

I love the way this moisturizer smells and wanted to love it on my face, but something in it congests or bothers my skin. I always break out when I use it, which is why I'm removing three stars. However, it is marvelous on hands! The lactic acid helps repair dry skin and protect nail beds and cuticles, too.

I have thick, shoulder-length curlyish, color-treated hair that needs some love (i.e. moisture and gentle cleansing). I'm a huge fan of Davines' NOU NOU shampoo and conditioner, and have found the shampoo works well even if I don't couple it with the conditioner. Why would I use it and not the conditioner, you ask? Because I bought the big bottle of shampoo and the regular size conditioner, and well... This is a gentle shampoo that cleans without stripping -- no issues with color-fade with this, either -- and leaves a nice, fresh smell behind.

I love this conditioner because it does what it says it will do: nourish and condition my locks. Sounds simple except that so many out there claim to do just that but fail to deliver. While I don't love the delivery system (undoing a plastic tub with slippery hands and ensuring it doesn't get shower water all inside isn't easy), I'll forgive Davines this indiscretion because once I've clawed it out and slapped it on my head, it clings to my strands like Yoko to John, like white on rice, like ... yeah, you get it. The point is, it stays put while you work it in and doesn't go sliding off like lesser conditioners. Leave it on for 3-5 minutes, then rinse out with cool water, and you've got yourself a conditioned head of hair.

I bought this thinking it would be the answer to those days (most of them, frankly) I don't want to dry and straighten my thick wavy-curly hair. It does help train my curls, but doesn't do enough to justify the price. I'm also not in love with the scent. It smells more chemically than I'd like. I bought the corresponding conditioner, and can't say I can tell much difference when I use the two together than when I use just the shampoo.

OK, so this is meant for fine, thin hair. I get it, but some of us thick-haired gals have fine strands -- just lots of them -- that need some extra love. This with some Bumble & Bumble Styling Creme is a nice mixture and helps amp up the texture without a lot of work.

I'm a regular exerciser, which makes the thought of not washing my hair a little gross. Still, there are times when I don't have the time to dry this mane, so I jump in the shower and rely on Pssst to take care of the scalp. In addition to managing oil and sweat well, it also offers extra volume and texture. I sometimes use it when I'm putting my hair up and need some extra "grit" to help everything stay in place.

Too heavy and did nothing to "clean" my scalp. This left a sticky coating and white, powdery residue all over my hair. I tried it a few times because I hate wasting stuff and hoped I'd used too much or sprayed it incorrectly. Nope. It's you, not me, Tresemme.
