  • MAC Superslick Liquid Eyeliner

Overall, I prefer gel eyeliners for creating a nice black line and/or cat eye look, but I love the quickness and ease of liquid liners. I picked this one up in the shade "On the Hunt" (described as a true black) from MAC on a recommendation from a friend and I have really enjoyed using it. I even got one for my mom who is a die hard liquid liner user. The "brush" on this is what makes it so easy. It is stiff and comes to a precise point so you can draw on a nice thin line and build it up to your liking. Once this is on it stays all day without smearing or smudging. My liner has lasted me much longer than I expected. Every time I go to throw it away I test it out and find that it still works perfectly. This is a great liner for throwing in your makeup bag because you can get a great effect without having to carry a glass pot of gel liner and a brush. At $18.50 this is a bit pricey for a liquid liner, but like I said, it has lasted for a long time, hasn't dried out or gone runny and gives me nice results each time. I will be repurchasing this once my current liner kicks the bucket.

  • Aquafresh Extreme Clean Toothpaste

I love the strong mint taste and feel of this toothpaste. This is so refreshing that now other toothpastes just don't feel as good. When brushing my teeth, this toothpaste creates a nice, frothy foam that envelopes my teeth so they feel extra clean. I will always use this.

    MAC Impeccable Brow Pencil

    Wish This Wasn't Limited Edition

I pick at least one of these up in the color Taupe every time they are released with a collection. What I don't understand is why MAC doesn't keep these in stock, year round. These have a waxy formula so they are great at taming your brows and super quick to apply, but they aren't as long lasting as a harder formula would be. The Taupe color is so perfect. It works on me when my hair is lighter and when I dye it dark in the winter months. I love the precision of brow powders but I love the quickness of a brow pencil. I keep my eye on just about every collection that MAC releases, just to see if they will be releasing the Impeccable Brow Pencil. If you happen to see this in a collection, definitely go check it out for yourself.

  • Boscia Luminizing Black Charcoal Mask

My boyfriend was sent a full size bottle of this and he was nice enough to share it with me. I had heard great things about this mask and I was drawn to its promises of purifying and brightening. This is a mask that was really fun to do with my boyfriend because it looks funny and was an adventure to peel off. Like others have said...do NOT get this on your eyebrows! Men should watch out if they have facial hair as well. This is a nightmare to remove from hair. I had to learn the hard way. You have to apply a lot of product to get the thick layer you need for peeling off. Considering that the bottle is less than three ounces and costs $34, this is not a good value at all. Immediately following the removal of this mask, my skin looks nice and feels smooth. But the affect doesn't last long. Many other masks have longer lasting affects and make your skin feel better than this. I feel like mostly, this is just peeling off the top layer of my skin. I would much rather spend my money on a good exfoliant and/or a purifying clay mask that does more for my skin and is a better value.

  • John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme

I have used this periodically for years. My hair used to be more frizzy than it is now but I still use this for its' smoothing affect on days that I need to tame flyaways and such. Since I have thin hair, I don't use many creams for fear that they will weigh my hair down. This is lightweight so it does not flatten my hair. The cream also absorbs really nicely and I love the smell.

  • Dior DiorShow Extase Mascara

I received a deluxe sample of this from Birchbox. I like the original Dior Show, but don't buy it anymore because I have found others that I like just as much for less money that don't dry out as quickly. I like that the Extase is a bit of a wetter formula so the mascara will have a longer shelf life. The brush is a bit odd. It waves in and out. I'm not sure what the point of the unique wand is, but it attaches to the lashes quite nicely. This mascara is great at giving volume and length without clumping. Once I go through the mascaras I have amassed, I may look into buying this. For the money it isn't a super unique product, but it is effective at lengthening and volumizing the lashes without clumping.

  • MAC Paint Pot

    MAC Paint Pot

    Versatile Cream Shadow and/or Base

I use some sort of MAC Paint Pot every single day that I wear eye makeup. My favorite Paint Pot is in Painterly because it is so versatile. It is a pale pink flesh color that even looks nice when worn alone. Most days I apply Painterly as an eyeshadow base. This cancels out the blue veins on my eyelids and makes any eyeshadow I wear last all day. It also helps the color of my eyeshadows really pop. I also have Groundwork which is a satin finish taupe brown. This is great for creating a brown smokey eye. I love this color on its own as well. Painterly and Groundwork also look great when blended together for a nice, neutral eye. Bare Study is a golden beige shimmer color that looks great under other shimmery eyeshadows, or even under a matte shadow to give it a bit of shimmer. The versatility of these is amazing. Paint Pots apply as a cream but set as a powder and they really do stay put all day. Before discovering paint pots, I would get so frustrated to find my shadow leaving ugly creases on my eyes before midday. Even now, with so many other shadow primers out there, I always come back to MAC's Paint Pots. Each pot lasts a long time, just be sure to store them upside down (with the product label facing up) so they don't dry out.

  • Benefit High Brow

    Benefit High Brow

    My favorite brow highlight

This is one of my favorite Benefit products. I use this on my brow bone and it helps lift my eyebrows where I want. The color is bright but matte so your eyebrows won't look shimmery. I sometimes use this to highlight the inner corners of my eyes. You can also use this to line your bottom water line if you want a doe-eyed look. Truly a multipurpose product. My crayon has lasted me for so long, making this a good value for the money. My only complaint is that the cap tends to come loose so this product is not ideal for throwing in your makeup bag, which is a shame.

  • Stila All Day Waterproof Smudge Stick Eye Liner
    9.0

Stila All Day Waterproof Smudge Stick Eye Liner

    Intense, vibrant and long lasting

I received this in Moray which is a rich olive, gold color and I loved it enough to also purchase this in Lionfish, a bronze color with gold shimmer. These apply really easily. They also blend out nicely, leaving a lovely shimmer on the eyes, or you could apply without blending for a nice, intense color. I love wearing these on the water line because it adds a nice, subtle sparkle to the eyes. This is also nice just in the inner corners of the eyes. These eyeliners truly are long lasting, even when you blend them out. Often times with liners that contain shimmer/sparkle, the color fades more quickly than with regular liners. These actually last longer than most conventional liners. At $20 each, these are pricey for a twist up eyeliner, but a little goes a long way. This is a unique enough product, that it is worth the money. I love the color selection and application of the Stila Smudge Sticks and I would definitely recommend them to eyeliner lovers.

    Benefit Dr. Feelgood

    Couldn't make sense of this

A lady at the Benefit counter convinced me to buy this. She said I should apply this throughout the day like chapstick but I never really understood that. I was dumb for giving into the pressure of a pushy sales lady. This is more like a primer, but it doesn't do much in that respect either. It doesn't make my skin worse, but it doesn't improve it either. The product is difficult to pick up with the sponge included, but it's also awkward with a makeup brush. I am still baffled as to what exactly this product is supposed to do. This is another high priced product from Benefit that just doesn't deliver.
