Every time I picture this, I think of my husband's birthday when we were engaged. My mom presented him with a huge basket--and it was all cleaning products for the home we had bought and would move into after our wedding. I still smile every time I see this! It's highly effective; great, clean scent and lather!

Perhaps it's because I worked with a teacher who drenched herself in this, but I find it harsh, bordering on offensive.

Bath and Body works makes so many incredible scents of this soap that I have a different one in the kitchen, another in the bath, a third is another bathroom, one next to my washing machine, you name it. It cleans well; I love the fact that it kills bacteria while it leaves my skin moisturized and comfortable.

Maybe I shouldn't admit this, but few things have changed my life as greatly as my Sonic toothbrush. I apologize if you've read this before, but by mom took an antibiotic with me when she was pregnant. Her physician assured her all would be well--it wasn't. My permanent teeth came in very tiny and soft. They are lacking enamel and have the next layer, dentin, which is yellow by nature. Since I first brushed my teeth, I have used baking soda and peroxide to try to whiten my smile and bolster my confidence. A plethora of dentists assured me--and I even hate to say this--that I would not have any teeth by age twenty-five because of the delicacy of my teeth. So I made up my mind to do anything and everything to keep them. I would brush so long that my arm would hurt (I didn't want any unnecessary bacteria to cause additional problems with my gums). I knew that the cleaner I kept them, the better off I would be. Then I bought a water pick. It worked, but I still wasn't satisfied. I wanted my teeth to feel as glass-like as when the hygienist cleaned them! Finally, several years ago, I bought a sonic toothbrush and life changed for the better. Yes, it does turn itself off after two minutes, but I have such a good time not working out my arm muscles and polishing my teeth that I keep turning it back on (I probably brush twelve minutes, at least twice a day). I use Colgate "Optic White" and "Dentisse," a clay-based toothpaste and have never felt this clean before. Cleaning with a sonic toothbrush becomes addictive, and a regular toothbrush becomes very inadequate once you've been spoiled. This should be mandated by law for every household! I can't tell you how healthy my teeth and gums are, how much confidence I have gained, and how good it feels!

This is an ultra-lightweight, highly emollient gloss. One shade is more beautiful than the other. I have this in "Hibiskiss," a red-coral, which is a beautiful pop of color for summer. This is never tacky or sticky and doesn't need to be reapplied often.

This is functional, but for one-third of the price, I get better damage and frizz control, shine, and manageability with John Frieda's "Frizz-Ease Thermal Protection Serum." This is overrated and overpriced.

Fortunately, Borghese's lip enamels are still available, along with lipstick and a few other things. These nail colors generally come in plush, deep shades. Be sure to wear a nail base underneath so that your nail are not stained. They will gleam like jewels! Borghese polish resists chipping and flaking and is worth every penny.

I (sigh) recall the days when the Borghese counters at department stores were replete with the most vivid, pigmented, jewel tones available--for eyes, lips, and nails. One year a gift with purchase was a compact with twenty shimmering, holographic eye colors, brilliant blushes, and lip colors. Sadly, Borghese has cut its line of incredible products down to a few. I still enjoy their products when I can find them (one site on which you CAN find them is "Ariva"). I have this lipstick in "Berry" and "Flamingo Gold." These are very rich colors. The formula is rich in vitamins and oils to go on easily, leaving lips comforted and glossy. Waxes ensure that it stays put. It has a "Acqua di Vita" complex for maximum moisture and an SPF of 15. I can wear it for outdoor activities and it keeps on glowing!

I love having a great lipliner on one side of a wand and a smooth, creamy, long-wearing lipstick on the other, especially when it's manufactured by Borghese. If you can still get your hands on this, DO IT! It's the best!

I received a sample of this and was only able to use it for a few days. It definitely didn't justify the ridiculously high price tag. My skin was softened, but there was no resilience, radiance, or minimization of tiny lines and wrinkles. Perhaps if I had a larger amount, my review would be different, but I was surprisingly unimpressed.
