Elizabeth Arden Smooth Line Lip Pencil
Goes on quite smoothly, but does NOT sharpen to a precise point
This is not a self sharpening pencil, and unfortunately it is a bit of a bugger to get a good point on, but it's a lovely color that works well with everything from berries to plums to browns. It blends well with whatever lipstick color you opt for and keeps a good smooth line that lasts all day.

You wanna look bright eyed and bushy tailed? This'll do it! This really opens up the eyes and has great pigment, even in one coat.

A lovely neutral color that makes the lips look full but not overdone, in a cost effective moisturizing blend that is super long lasting. Don't knock the Avon!

Man, I love these eye pencils! They do create a thick line, but they are creamy as a baby's bottom and they DO NOT run all over your face. They are water resistant, but come off easily with cleanser. The color I love most is the Tanzania for my green-blue eyes because the brick shimmer makes me eyes stand out. I wouldn't use this liner if you're going for wacky eye makeup, because this seems to stand best with earth tones. Oh, and it has a built in smudgie!

Really vavooms out your mascara making your eyes look more vivid and awake. Just be careful to coat your lashes evenly so that the white primer doesn't show through! It doesn't seem to have the curling effect that Lancome lash booster has, but it most certainly thickens those puppies! I recommend using a lash comb to get any stray sticktogethers.

saturdays are always painful for me because I'm a night owl who does not like to hoot that early (unless I'm still up from the night before). Needless to say, my saturday makeup tends to be subdued. On these days my primers make the most of what my sad tired face has to offer and gives me the optical illusion of rest. On days like this, I'm uber grateful for the one type of spackle that I actually put on my face on purpose, and that's Laura Geller Spackle Trio Primer , which rocks. You got your face primer, eyes and lips all in one handy dandy jar, and a perfect little mirror to boot. This is also a travel essential since you don't have tubes to explode or leak and you have everything you need in one place. Love it!

I don't that know that it rewinds my age, exactly, but I get mistaken for a decade younger than I am all the time anyway. It does have SPF18 in it without feeling too glumpy, which is always a miracle with liquid foundations. It's a good color for me, as it adds a natural glow without looking I I'm trying to fake tan. maybe that's the age rewind part- the glow. It really does make your skin appear more radiant. My complaint is that it gets shiny really quickly (bad for those with oily skin) and if you start to sweat- forget about it. I made the mistake of wearing this on a day outside once and it looked kinda blech by the end of the day. Streaky and such. If you're not going to be exerting yourself and you don't have super oily skin though, I say go for it if you're at the drugstore and need a foundation with a heavier coverage and won't be wearing it to play racquet ball.

Estee Lauder in general has held a key to my heart for a while. Their lipsticks in particular seem to always look good. This particular line has great color and a gorgeous light shimmer, though it doesn't seem to stay on as long as some of their other styles. I've noticed that their shimmers wear faster for some reason, though not enough to deter me from loving them!

Normally I don't care for fragrances described as 'romantic', but I think the lychee and patchouli deflower it enough so that I really quite like it! It's subdued enough for work, but has enough sophistication for dinner out (and it won't overpower your food like so many florals!) and you can wear it to a movie or the theater without irritating the people sitting around you. I think of it as a scent that people catch when they hug you. My stepmother-in-law insisted that my father-in-law buy her some after she smelled it on me :-) When I wear it, I feel as if I'm in a grassy field on a warm spring day wearing a big straw hat and chasing puppies while butterflies flitter by......

I'm not sure what it is about this particular brush, but I have been using these for YEARS. I love that they go on lockdown so completely so you don't get funk all over your brush. You can have it in the bottom of your purse and it still won't get nasties. (like the time I had a lip compact open in my bag and when I found the brush it was completely covered in stray cigarette tobacco and pieces of random string. Um, trash?)Until another company shows me one better, this will remain my standby.
