  • Vitabath-Spa Therapy Collection Spa Therapy Moisturizing Bath and Shower Gelee

The washes are freakishly creamy and moisturizing- I honestly didn't even really need to put on lotion after I got done bathing. The scents are lovely but unlike Bath & Body Works, they don't beat you over the head with a cloying overload. The first time I used one I just kept massaging it into my skin, it felt so soft I was just incapable of bringing myself to rinse off!

  • DDF Wrinkle Resist Plus Pore Minimizer

this stuff is FABOO. It may seem expensive, but one bottle has lasted me 6 months with no end in sight, I'll easily get a year out of it, so when you break that down it's really not so pricey after all. After about a month of use, you see your pores are shrunken and your skin is smooth and clear with wrinkles minimized and the an overall glow to your skin. Immediate benefits are the temporary pore shrinking, the non greasy but skin plumping hydration and a smoothness to your skin that makes makeup go on flawlessly. If you don't have particularly oily skin, you can forgo the separate moisturizer all together, thus making this again not nearly as pricey as it seems. I'm on my 2nd bottle with no regrets.

  • Maybelline New York Dream Fresh BB Cream

Maybelline New York Dream Fresh BB Cream

Not bad for a drugstore brand

Because it is sheer, you may still want a concealer for blemishes or red spots. This one is much less sheer than a tinted moisturizer, but if you want any real coverage you're better off with a foundation. I was having a slight rosacea flare causing my skin to be redder than normal and when I tried to build this on my cheek areas it DID cover the red, but it also made my face look like I was wearing a creepy plastic mask of my face. I also needed extra moisturization, my skin didn't feel QUITE hydrated enough. I have combination skin so I imagine if you have dry skin you'll definitely want to use moisturizer under it.

  • CoverGirl Clean Pressed Powder, Sensitive Skin

I keep trying more expensive brands of pressed powder and I keep coming back to my old standby. Yes, the new compact style is more difficult to open, but it also doesn't fly open in my purse and coat the bottom of it with cracked broken powder bits. I realize that pressed powder has fallen somewhat out of favor lately, but I still can't think of anything better to carry in my purse. Yes, blotting papers are great, but sometimes a girl's just GOTTA powder her nose. This doesn't clog my pores or irritate my sensitive, rosacea prone skin. Finding powders that don't look orangey on me is difficult, but their neutral ivory blends into my skin perfectly. I love the old school clean Noxema smell and it makes my pores practically disappear. I can even use it over bare skin for a natural but perfected look.

  • Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light

Perfect for the summertime in Texas when I sweat and ooze oil in equal amounts. At first I didn't realize what it meant by light, I thought I'd grabbed a light tinted primer not realizing this wasn't the standard Photo Finish formula. Once I tried it though, I was extremely pleased! It kept my makeup in place (though to be honest, not as well as the original formula) and gave my skin a smooth, even finish. For some reason, since i started using this one, my Nars Orga$m Illuminator seems to have more twinkle to it. I like that I can use it in the hotter months and not feel a heaviness on my face- this is the perfect happy medium for me. When using this, I'd recommend keeping some blotting papers (or just toilet paper, for that matter) around to absorb any oil that peeks out without weighing your skin down.

    Cake Beauty Satin Sugar

    Best Dry Shampoo EVER

Cake Beauty Satin Sugar is my holy grail for dry shampoos. It smells INCREDIBLE, like baked sugar, makes my hair fluffy and full of body (I have straight fine hair) and it's tinted so you don't look like Cruella De Ville.

Cover FX Conceal FX Camouflage Concealer

Since when was sallow yellow "light"?

I had high hopes for this brand, and now I'm about to chuck the tube because it's so incredibly useless to me. I got the Light shade because I have, well, light skin. To my horror I see this yellowish/tan goop come out! I thought, well maybe it will blend in. Nope. It left me with yellowy, orangey patches wherever I put it. To make matters worse, I then couldn't remove it without cleanser. Great for the people it works on, but a pain in the tchutkas for me. When I put it under my eyes, it made me look like I had jaundice and despite not having much eye area wrinkling, it settled into the ones I do have and made my under eye area look crepey. And how does it manage to be cakey and greasy at the same time? Grrrrrr.

  • Benefit High Beam Liquid Highlighter
    9.0

    Benefit High Beam Liquid Highlighter

    Subtle, easy to apply

Benefit high beam is called "Supermodel In A Bottle" for good reason. It's amazing how much it illuminates your complexion! It's like having a candle beaming out from beneath your skin. Gives a beautiful dewy look that takes years off of your face and imparts a youthful glow. I was told that I "must have gotten a good night's sleep" when in actuality I'd gotten less sleep than normal and had to get up a few times in the night to let the new puppy out. Crazy multitasker, it can also be mixed with too matte foundation to mellow out it's harshness, used on the eyes to make them look brighter and put on the cupid's bow to make your lips look fuller. I'm not sure, but I think a bottle might last for like a freakin decade, it only takes a teeny bit.

  • Bliss Eau de Toilette
    8.0

    Bliss Eau de Toilette

Spring in your step (and on your skin)

Bliss eau de toilette is available directly from Bliss, but you can get it on Amazon and Ebay for half the retail price. It's fresh and clean and puts a spring in your step. I smell a lot of cucumber and lily of the valley. It puts me in mind of being on a beach with cool water and a warm breeze. Perfect for summer. I was at work where it's always hot as an oven, and the scent had an aromatherapy effect on me of making me feel cooler. I just wish it lasted a little longer, but it did stick around for quite a few hours.
