making up for lost time

I didn't take care of my skin when I was younger; ah, a do-over would be nice! That said, now I wash my face thoroughly morning and night, use moisturizer, sunscreen, and a prescription medication to diminish wrinkles a few times a week. Can't turn back the clock, but maybe I can slow it down a tad now!

Anti aging

Exfoliate, moisturize and protect! I use products containing AHA/BHA, sunscreen and I have my own bottle of Hyaluronic acid that I add to all my moisturizers. I use a very diluted apple cider vinegar as a toning rinse. You can also apply less diluted apple cider vinegar to exfoliate, HOWEVER, please note that it is an acid and it will burn your skin if you do not dilute it enough or if you leave it on too long. Seroiusly, test it first. This is a great at home inexpensive peel. It also makes hair shiny!

anti-aging beauty tips

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! I use pure unrefined raw shea butter on my skin. In the winter, I mix it with coconut oil for that extra boost of moisture. Wink

I'm young yet to really be doing anything about aging but I definitely try to start early and with that I absolutely swear by plain-old extra virgin olive oil. Amazing for skin and hair and eyelash growth as well as nail growth and just about everything you can imagine!

Started my skin care regime at 16 years old!

I started taking care of my skin back when I was 16 years old, with Clinique's 3 step program.  I have been taking care of my skin and making changes to my routine as I get older. I am now almost 44 years young and I actually look younger than my 2 sisters who are 3 & 4 years younger than me.  In this decade of my life, I am using serum, eye cream, exfoliating, day & night creams and making sure I also concentrate on my neck and decollete.  I also am a huge fan of lip balms, gotta have soft lips too!

StriVectin-SD Intensive Concentrate for Wrinkles

At age 58 I do not have a lot of wrinkles because I have managed to avoid the sun for most of my life (take vitamin D supplements). Always wear a hat & sun screen on your face. Keep your skin clean & moisturized daily. Also, Drink plenty of water. I have found that these tips have helped me. But I have heard good things about StriVectin & would love to try it.

start in your 20's

I taught my daughters to start caring for their skin in their early 20's. I did & I look so much younger than women my age. My skin is starting to sag really bad......but no product seems to help that. I don't have wrinkles around my eyes & I have worn contacts since I was 15 yrs old. I always use eye cream religiously. it does pay off :)

Beauty tip

My biggest beauty tip is to always exfoliate! I use a very fine exfoliator and gently scrub away dead skin. I then put on Clinique Moisture surge.

My Anti-Aging Tips!

The #1 tip for keeping your skin looking beautiful and young is to always wear sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen!  It works even better if you can re-apply at some point during the day, also!

Secondly, never ever sleep in your makeup!  Your pores needs to breathe and clearing it of all debris before going to bed is going to help a lot.

Last but not least, don't over-wash your face!  It can cause more irritation and do more damage than good!  Over washing leaves your skin more succeptible to dirt! :D
