  • Don't you just hate it? You do everything right -- exfoliate regularly, use your cellulite cream religiously (and since it's this one, it's actually working!), apply self tanner meticulously (using these tips) -- only to have it all messed up with a horrible shave or wax. It's enough to drive a girl crazy -- at least, it is for these TotalBeauty.com readers.

  • We just love passing along any good tips we come across (like these backstage beauty tricks), so we just had to share this with you. TotalBeauty.com joined forces with Redbook and CVS to put together a Beauty Book full of helpful tips (and affordable products to try, naturally).

  • It's such a simple question, but with so many answers. I have friends that spend upwards of $200 on a hair cut, and others who wouldn't fork over more than $20 -- including tip. Me? I don't pay anything (one of the perks of having a mom who's a licensed cosmetologist).

  • Lindsay Lohan is famously known for always sporting a bad fake tan, so why she decided to come out with her own line of self tanners called Sevin Nyne this past May is beyond us. From pictures of Lindsay in London this past week it looks like she is her own biggest customer but she must be spreading the word while there! Katie Price, a British model, was caught with a horrifying fake tan as well! Perhaps Lindsay should come home, she is apparently influencing the locals and giving normally tanned Americans a bad rep.

  • Looking stunning in a gorgeous purple dress with a sky-high slit, Megan Fox flaunted glowing skin at the Japan premiere of her new movie, Transformers 2.

  • She must have invested in some of these summer beauty must-haves to achieve such soft, bronzed skin.

  • Before the Clairol Hair Color Party, my hair was a dull light brown/dark blonde. I was ok with it, but wanted to jazz it up a little. I went with the Perfect 10 5R Medium Auburn. I thought this would be a perfect change. I attended the Clairol House Party with 8 other people, 6 of whom colored their hair along with me. Our host was super excited about the party and had great snacks and lots of ideas for our before and after pictures. She kept us up to date before the party with what we should bring, including ideas for the video. She kept the excitement going for a few weeks BEFORE the party. She even had a friend of hers come over and do foot and hand spa treatments. She made it an awesome girls night In! We really wanted to look good after the hair coloring so we did our makeup and everything. I knew some of the people at the party and made some new friends who'll be partying with me in LA! The host's home had 2 1/2 bathrooms and the kitchen sink for coloring. It's a good thing the Clairol products are quick and easy to color and rinse, otherwise we would have been there all night. It took only about 10 minutes between color and rinse. I applied the color using the applicator comb that was included. I pinned my hair up and started at the bottom and worked my way up with the color. I found that pinning up hair makes it easier to apply the color to your hair. By pinning your hair up, you are more likely to cover your entire hair with the product. Also, I wiped away excess color from my forehead and around my neck area to prevent staining.

  • I've always been a bit squeamish when it comes to coloring my hair. It seems so much more drastic than a cut, although realistically it's probably easier to fix a bad dye job (like one of these) than a bad hair cut (as these photos would show).

  • We know you are fighting every urge to stifle the rumbling of your inner Homer Simpson on National Donut Day, especially with free donuts being given out left and right, but we are here to tell you to go ahead and eat that donut ... but only today. Any other time you are feeling the need to shove a donut in your face, remember that sugar is a number one stunner for that skin of yours. The refined carbohydrate not only causes breakouts, but also causes inflammation of the skin which in turn creates high levels of free radicals, which attack collagen, giving you less firm skin and wrinkles. So what’s a sugar lover to do? Find alternatives of course!

  • We heard that Kate Hudson dyed her gorgeous blonde hair brown for a new film role, but you can’t believe everything you read, right? So who knows -- maybe Hudson ditched her signature golden locks to look a little more like her new dark-haired man, New York Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez.
