Have Adult Acne? You're So Not Alone! Get Help From Fellow Sufferers Here
- Posted by Kristen on August 6, 2009 at 05:25PM

I don't think I'm alone in admitting that my acne breakouts didn't stop when I said sayonara to my teen years. I'm well into my 30s and still trying to find that magic cocktail of products that keep my skin clear consistently (this expert advice did help some). Thankfully though, I have TotalBeauty.com readers to join in my pity party and offer up these tried and true tips and products that have worked for them.
Tip1: "I have a beauty routine that I use everyday religiously and it works for me. I use a cleanser with salicylic acid (I am using the Avon Clearskin Blackhead Clearing Cleanser now but I use different ones as long as they have at least 2 percent salicylic acid). When I wash my face I leave the cleanser on for at least two minutes so it can really work. I use a purifying toner after that then I apply spot treatment acne cream. I give it time to absorb then I apply an oil-free moisturizer. Every other day I use Mary Kay Clarifying Mask." -- tenetene

I don't even have dandruff; I just like the way his shampoo makes my hair feel. And his body wash is such a great basic, plus the scent reminds me of him. I just really hope he isn't reading this, since he hasn't yet solved the mystery of why he keeps running out of them so quickly …

Is Your Diet Making You Look Old?

I received a wake-up call today: I can apply all the stellar anti-aging creams I want, but unless I change my diet (read: put down the martini glass and step away from the cupcakes), my wrinkles are going to stay put.
Hold on to your Hair: Did Stress Cause Sarah Palin's Locks to Thin?
- Posted by Melissa on July 22, 2009 at 05:22PM

As I'm sure most of you have heard, Sarah Palin is suffering from major hair loss due to stress, according to a New York Times article. The article claims that "her hair had thinned to the point where she needed emergency help from her hairdresser." Yikes! That is a serious problem!
Since the article, Palin and her friends have said the claim is bogus, but the real mystery here is: What is with this obsession with her hair?
