Emily Blunt's Sleek Side Bun At last night's New York premiere of "Edge of Tomorrow," Emily Blunt wore a side bun that was as simple as it was elegant. Paired with her red Prada column gown and pink lipstick, the look reminded us just how much we missed seeing the new mom on the red carpet. To get the look, follow hairstylist Laini Reeves' step-by-step guide.
Reeves first prepped Blunt's wet hair with René Furterer Vegetal Mousse, blowing it out with a soft-bristle flat brush for a smooth finish. Next, she misted the hair with René Furterer Vegetal Finishing Spray and brushed the hair into a low side part before securing into a ponytail at the nape of the neck.
Reeves then sprayed the hair with more finishing spray for hold, and smoothed pesky flyaways with René Furterer Styling Wax. Before twisting the hair into a bun, Reeves back-combed the side pony for added texture, which also made the hair easier to secure. Once Reeves create the bun, she secured it with bobby pins and applied the finishing spray one last time for extra hold.
