Pony Up If your bangs are still in the shorter stages of growing out, you often have to do a higher ponytail to get them to fit in an elastic. But that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice length. Put up half of your hair in a high ponytail with bangs swept back to reach the hair elastic. Next, gather the rest of your hair in a ponytail slightly below the first to create the illusion of one lengthy pony. For Kate Beckinsale's added volume, backcomb the bangs and spray lightly with hairspray before pushing back into the hair elastic.
