    BareMinerals All-Over Face Color

Review of Pure Radiance All-Over Face Color

Pure Radiance is a glowy, light-to-medium peachy brown, sheer powder that I apply over my foundation, sometimes before Mineral Veil and sometimes after. I apply it like a bronzer b/c I'm pale (Fairly Light in BM foundation): in a "3" figure on both sides of my face; sometimes, I dilute Warmth with this. I also sometimes use it as a blush color and when I'm lazy, I apply it like a bronzer as usual and use a heavier hand to also apply it as a blush. Adds a little bit of radiance and can add a lot of color, so use this lightly. It has a lot more color than Clear Radiance.

    BareMinerals Clear Radiance

Subtle glow; great highlighter that really adds radiance

Clear Radiance is the palest, sheerest, glowy pink powder. I apply it on whereever I want to look glowy (usually my cheekbones and maybe my chin and forehead). It really adds radiance (not shimmer or glitter) to your face although I would avoid applying this on places where you don't want an unflattering reflection (avoid the nose!).

  • BareMinerals Mineral Veil Finishing Powder Broad Spectrum SPF 25

BareMinerals Mineral Veil Finishing Powder Broad Spectrum SPF 25

Decent finishing powder, but could be more long-lasting

I apply this over my makeup (including BM foundation) as the final step of my routine. It leaves my skin almost flawless with a soft finish, that is, my skin doesn't look matte and flat yet any shine is taken away and my makeup overall looks softened and blended. I wish BM lasted longer to keep my face oil-free. After 2 hours, my nose starts to look "glowy" and eventually, I resort to blotting with blotting papers every 3-4 hours. I have noticed that Mineral Veil works well as a touchup on oily spots. I usually apply it by dipping a cotton ball in some Mineral Veil (I don't swirl b/c then the ball would absorb the Mineral Veil) and just dab on the crumbles of Mineral Veil onto my nose and other oily spots and that immediately takes away the shine and keeps it shine-free for 2-4 more hours.

  • bareMinerals Blush

    bareMinerals Blush

    Pigmented, soft, natural color

I have this blush in Secret, a deep, bright pink with purple undertones. A little goes a long way because this blush is very, very pigmented. I use only a tiny sprinkle for both cheeks, applying it using the swirl-tap-buff method. Because so little product is needed, the jar will last a loooong time. The blush also lasts a long time once applied. I apply this on top of my BM foundation and under Mineral Veil (sometimes on top of Mineral Veil). The color and texture look very natural.

  • BareMinerals Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15

I really like BM foundation. I've been using BM foundation for years now. After letting my moisturizer sink in, I apply it with either a small, fluffy powder brush or--for heavier coverage--with a kabuki brush. I then lightly conceal any spots using a concealer brush. The coverage can go from light to full depending on how many layers you apply and what brush you use. After applying, skin looks close to flawless and and slightly radiant (not matte, but not shiny and dewy either). However, the foundation starts to wear off after a few hours (especially on the T-zone) so when I look at my face close-up, the foundation looks patchy in spots. So while this is the best foundation I've tried, it's not perfect. I wish it would last longer and maintain the flawless look.

  • Almay Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads

Almay Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads

Greasy and doesn't remove long-lasting mascara

The pads are overly soaked in oily makeup remover. They leave the eye area completely oily afterwards and aren't able to remove long-lasting mascara (discontinued Revlon Colorstay Lash Tint) even after pressing it against my eyelashs for several seconds and then wiping. Also, this caused milia on the lower waterline, but those went away after I stopped using it.

  • Almay Intense I-Color Liquid Eyeliner

    Almay Intense I-Color Liquid Eyeliner

Pretty purple color but fades by the end of the day

I used Purple Amethyst for brown eyes. The color is a pretty jewel-toned purple with a slight metallic or pearly finish. The stiff, felt-tip applicator made the liner easy to apply in thin and thick lines, even wings at the outer corners. However, this doesn't last very long. After maybe 5 or 6 hours, the liner would end up in my creases and end smearing on my eyelds. All eyeliners do that on my eyes, but I've worn other eyeliners that last 8-9 hours. I still wear this anyway because the color's so pretty.

  • Almay Daily Moisturizer for Oily Skin

Almay Daily Moisturizer for Oily Skin

    Good everyday moisturizer

This is a good moisturizer for oily skin. I wore this under my makeup after letting it first sink in for 5 minutes. While it doesn't leave a matte finish, it doesn't leave you shiny and oily either; just dewy. The SPF saves me the extra step of applying sunscreen. I don't think it controls oil much, but it's a good, light moisturizer.

Almay Oil Free Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads

Decent but not great for long-lasting mascara

Removes powder eye makeup in a couple of swipes and liquid eyeliner in a couple more, but doesn't do a great job with the long-lasting mascara I use (discontinued Revlon Colorstay Lash Tint). The pads will remove some of it, but not all of it and not without some elbow grease. No oily after feel. But because other makeup removers are more effective, I don't use these except for when I'm feeling reeaally lazy and don't mind going to sleep with some leftover mascara on.

  • Almay Daily Moisturizer for Normal/Combo Skin

Almay Daily Moisturizer for Normal/Combo Skin

    Everyday moisturizer with SPF

I have normal to combo skin in the winter (oily in the summer). This moisturizer really moisturizes and the SPF makes it convenient to wear sunscreen everyday. It's not heavy, but definitely needs 5-10 minutes to sink in fully and even then your skin looks moisturized, that is, your face will not be matte. I wore this under mineral makeup everyday, usually after first letting it sink in and applying it lighter on my T-zone. I also wore this at night.
