As I enter my thirties, I have found that my skin is dry and congested... a slow cell turnover that leaves my complexion looking dull. Follow the directions for this masque... do not leave on more than 5 mins and rinse with cool water to neutralize. After I had clear, bright skin... the masque dissolved the dead, dry skin. Do not leave on more than the 5 mins directed, it can cause sensativity. For those with sensitive skin use it 1-2 mins and rinse. This product is a great exfoliator with a divine scent.

I have used a number of lotions in the past... from highend to lowend and nothing has been as effective as Kiehls ultra facial moisturizer. It is made with squalane which is as close to the sebum your skin naturally produces. This product works best for me during NYC's autumn and spring seasons. I have combination skin and in the winter it is more dry, the summer it is more oily. It leaves my skin moist and hydrated and is not greasy...a good start before makeup application.

I typically wear men's cologne because I don't necessarily like heady florals. I have been lucky in recent years to find a few pleasant fragances that are not overbearing... this is one of them. Just the right amount of woods, florals and exotica.

With their mastery over eyeshadow pigments you would think they could perfect the primer... not so in this case I am sad to report. Not only was it difficult to apply my shadow (it resulted in an irritated eyelid due to excessive dragging), but the effort was not worth the result. A few hours after application my already oily eyelids had joined forces with this primer for a full on hideous effect. in disgust I purchased Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion.

After using M.A.C and being disappointed I turned to Urban Decay for a pleasant surprise. My shadow stayed put and lasted well into the wee hours of the morning. I purchased the original not the tinted primer potion. It glides on rather easiy due to the lip gloss like applicator. I use a small amount then blot and spread with clean finger tips on my lid. It dries quckly so make haste when applying.I even use it on my lower lash line to set pencil/powder under my eyes. Only 8 stars because it is a little pricey and I wear eye makeup everyday...otherwise, it comes highly recommended.

I bought a travel size from Sephora after reading the reviews. The travel size is substantial enough as a little goes a long way. This powder sets makeup perfectly... be forwarned and do not use excessive amounts. It is a smooth finish when used conservatively, however, use too much and it over mattifies! The powder gives a scary nuclear white hue before application but don't be put off. I dip my kabuki brush in the cap and tap off the excess... I pay special attention to my t zone but will refrain from using it on my cheeks. I have an olive skin tone and I am happy to report there is no evidence of this white powder save the effect desired.

Most of the ingredients in this concoction were of a natural persuasion...lavender, nettles, vanilla; however, that did not save it from reaking havoc on my hair. I have used it on hair both dry and wet with disasterous results. It was as if my hair had been coated in starch.leaving it dry and unmanagable. For a positive spin, I will say this product smells good and I am not even interested in remotely smelling like vanilla. Black vanilla proves to be exotic in terms of scent but that is the only pro i can list.
