  • Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+

I heard rave reviews of this lotion and was encouraged by a saleswoman at the counter to try it while waiting for my order of kiehls to be delivered. In a matter of three days this lotion had congested my skin and had resulted in red, painful blemishes. There was a terrible greasy film and the lotion never fully absorbed into the skin.I gave the lotion to someone with dry and not so sensitived skin and they liked it. It took me two weeks to recover. Judging from reviews it is either hit or miss. Approach with caution!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil

    Works like a charm..

This oil treats my minor breakouts without over-drying. Tea tree oil is a natural bacteria killer and the oil still nourishes my skin while working hard. I use it overnight and alternate days. The scent isn't too pleasant but I rather it be functional than smell pretty. The bottle is small and I use alot of it but it is an investment for the great results I get from using it. I usually buy three at a time and spend about $30.

    Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Crème

    Good for dry hair...

I overstyle my hair and have to deal with consequences... luckily for me, FF has made an olive oil glossing creme to soften my brittle hair. I like the feel after I blow dry. My hair is shiny and silkier when employ its use... however, on days where I need extra help I combine it with Oleo-Relax by Kerastase. I wash and blow dry my hair about three days a week so I go through this tube fast. If your hair is not as unruly or dry, then use a minimal amount and you will get a good result. Overall a good product.

    Kerastase Nutritive Serum Oleo-Relax

    Expensive but worth it...

I use this with Fekkai glossing creme and I get a good blowout. It makes my hair soft and shiny...the bottle has lasted me quite a while and that is why I feel justified in saying a dollop will do the trick for my dry, wavy hair. Concentrate the product more at the ends and you get a few days out of a good blowout.

  • Avon Anew Rejuvenate Night Revitalizing Cream

I am in my early thirties and suffering from minor breakouts and fine lines. This addresses those issues and more. Literally, after the 1st night of using it the morning after revealed tighter pores. My skin was soft and my dry patches on my cheeks eliminated. I really like it but I have to use 3x a week on my combination/sensative skin... any more than that and it seems to be too big of a push for my skin. It comes hightly recommended... very affordable and very promising.

  • Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat All-Over Brightening Pen

This is a nice option for highlighting... I put it in the corners of my eyes and it drew and reflected light. However, it did not serve me well as a concealer. In fact, it seemed to draw more attention to shadows as it was highlighting certain parts of my eye. Really, it could have been the lighting... I recommend this for a highlighter but give it poor marks in terms of concealer. I like that it is in pen form and that makes sense for placing it in tight spots. I can't agree with the price tag. I would say worth $25 not $40.

    Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

    I just don't see it...

I went out and purchased the curler based on years of good reviews and now i feel like an alien writing to say that I do not concur with the high marks. There wasn't a noticeable difference in my lash appearance. I even reverted back to using the plastic one I purchased at Ricky's. I can say that it is smooth and doesn't snag with it precision engineered tongs that glide over lashes. I was hoping for more... somehow this seems to be case of the emperor's new clothes in my opinion.

    Stila Eye Shadow Pan

    Pretty in a pan...

I have to say that over the years Stila shadows are still a favorite. The texture is nice and looks good with or without primer. Metallics can be somewhat off-putting for me but I find that Kitten on my lid and Barefoot Contessa (my favorite color) do compliment my olive skin and make my brown eyes pop. Barefoot contessa is a shimmery eggplant color and t has just right amount of shimmer. My eyelids are oily and so I recommend with primer as it does have a tendency to crease.

    Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray

    Grab your longboard, bra!

Beachy waves indeed! i am at a bit of an advantage as my hair is naturally wavy... however, the longer layers are not uniformally wavy and this helps promote and define waves. Good for summer hair!

  • Bumble and bumble Hair Powder

    Bumble and bumble Hair Powder

Why did they make this a spray powder?

Disappointing. I liked the original hair powder. The spray while a match to my hair (dark chestnut) left it stiff and unmanageable...like a weird crust coating my strands. I say don't mess with perfection... I would rather use baby powder to absorb oil at the root. Bring back the original and I will rethink my rating!!!
