  • Origins Modern Friction Nature's Gentle Dermabrasion

This is a great exfoliation product for sensitive or dry skin. Unlike some of the products that use "natural" scrubbers like ground walnut shells or apricot seeds, this one uses little round balls that won't tear your skin to pieces. I admit I had thought that rougher was better when it came to exfoliators but all I was doing was causing more redness and breakouts. Now my skin simply glows after using this. I do wish it was in a tube for easier use in the shower, but that's the only thing that can be fixed about this product.

  • Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores

I've never had a mask do what this one did! This mask is like a vacuum cleaner for your pores. I am in my 30's and still get acne and blackheads on my chin and nose. After a couple of uses, my skin is amazingly clear. I have spent SO MUCH MONEY over the years trying to find products that work with adult skin. Almost everything is meant for teenagers. I love the Origins line because it treats my skin without stripping it completely dry and leaving it dull, blotchy and flakey. It doesn't take much to cover your entire face, so I will definitely get my money's worth out of this!

  • Boscia Enlivening Amino-AG Eye Treatment

Not sure what it was in this eye creme, but I broke out severely on both eyes with tiny little blisters the first time I used it. I have used the face and body cremes before with no problems. Still like Boscia, just really shocked by the reaction!

  • Mary Kay MK Signature Eye Color

I haven't been able to use many Mary Kay products because of the level of fragrance in the products. I tried the eye shadow years ago and didn't like, but I recently tried some samples of the signature eye color. This time around I had no issues with the fragrance in this product. Yay for those of us with sensitive skin! The color palette is outstanding, as are the duos. I got Tutti Fruiti after loving the sample card. The orange sherbert color might seem out there, but when combined with the pink side it creates a very wearable, soft peach-pink that is infinitely wearable on any skin tone, especially fair skin. Perfect for a romantic date or casual get together. The staying power is also pretty good when used with a primer. Alone, it tends to wear off fairly easily.

  • Lorac Tantalizer Baked Bronzer

    Lorac Tantalizer Baked Bronzer

    Great for fair skin

I am so fair skinned that I pretty much never use a bronzer because it looks absolutely fake. I was pleased with this bronzer because it has it is very buildable and allows me to get just a hind of color by lightly swiping my brush over the top. I have tried other bronzer where no matter how little you have on the brush the color is incredibly deep and dark. It's nice to finally be able to contour and give some color to my skin without shimmer and without a funky brown color.

  • Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Parisienne Eau de Parfum Spray

This parfum is sweet, almost like something that could be manufactured by Disney as one of its Princess line scents. It claims to have woodsy notes, but all I could detect was the floral one. I know that parfums are affected by each person's chemistry, so maybe this is why all I detected was floral. Aside from being to flowery for my personal taste, it didn't last for more than an hour or so. I was really hoping for a more sophisticated scent, especially from YSL.

  • Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher

I have received samples of this on and off over the years whenever I shop EL during their gift time. I love the velvity smooth way it makes my skin feel. For the price (and huge list of chemical ingredients), however, I can live without it. The smallest bottle is around $70.00 before tax, and the largest bottle is around $160.00. For that price it should also take care of wrinkles, discolorations and under eye circles.... If you can get over the price, this serum will indeed make your skin feel luxuriously smooth and soft thanks to its silicone base. Applying makeup afterwords is a breeze, and makeup even looks better when applied after using this even if you have been using the same colors and application techniques for years. The scent is pretty, like citrus, and goes away after application. I do have a problem with this when the weather is hot and sweaty. It mixes with the moisture on your skin and everything just sort of slides right off. If you love the feel of this but want something much cheaper and heat resistant, try DHC Velvet Coat.

  • mark On The Edge Hook Up Liquid Eyeliner

I am a klutz with liquid eye liner, but I am a big fan of this one. The brush is small enough that I don't have a hard time getting the line to be as thin or thick as I want. The smaller size makes it easy to get in close to the lash line as well. After applying you do have enough time to smudge or fix without having to break out the eye makeup remover and start over. When dry it doesn't smear and lasts quite a long time, even in humid weather. I just wish Avon/Mark had more colors.

  • mark Glow Baby Glow Luxe Hook Up Lip Gloss

This is my favorite lip gloss. Never sticky, minty flavor, and a nice hint of color. It's also hard to find a shade that doesn't work on any skin tone because the colors are pretty sheer. Even the colors with a hint of glitter in them are still low key enough to wear at work. Over lipstick these glosses give that little extra oomph. Best part is that two of them plus the hook up connector are the same size as one from other makeup brands, so you get two colors/hook-up products without loading down your purse/bag.

  • mark Glow Xpert Face Shimmer

    mark Glow Xpert Face Shimmer

    Surprisingly great

I didn't think I would like this, but I did. I figured the shimmer would be too much for everyday use, but it's not actually. It gives a nice, soft glow to your skin - no sparkle or glitter or even shimmer as most people think of it. I love the way it brings my face alive, especially after a night short on sleep. It's not greasy either, so no breakouts. Not a big fan of the applicator at first, but after a while I loved that there is no mess when using this. I get compliments whenever I wear this - people tell me how good my skin looks and want to know how I do it.
