I received a full-sized sample of the Cetaphil and thought that it would perfect for my mom. She is 63 years old with very thin skin that has been completely destroyed by the sun. I have always heard such great things about how good Cetaphil is for sensitive skin. Unfortunately, it further dried out her skin and she had a bit of a reaction to it. It just goes to prove that not all products will work for all people.

I really wanted to like this . The CoverGirl Lash Blast is all over the magazines, but it made my lashes crispy! Crispy is not a word I want associated with my eyelashes. The only drug store mascara I have found to work OK is the Loreal Voluminous Mascara.

I have found that people with medium to deeper skin tones will get better results. I am fair, and for some reason, all self tanners don't like to work for me. It did provide nice moisture.

Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers are OK for me in a pinch. They do require reapplication often. I prefer the Fresh tinted lip product. It is more expensive but you get at least twice the amount of product and it stays on a lot longer. I think the Lip Shimmers are better for the younger crowd. My 15 year old daughter enjoys using these.

I used to use this scrub for years until I realized the scrub was responsible for the tiny blood vessel breaks. I only use exfoliators that have small micro-beads and enzymes to achieve the same results!

I had high hopes for this Almay Liner and my hopes were dashed. This was very difficult to apply, tugged horribly, and once on, did not last.

L'Oreal Paris HiP Studio Secrets Professional Concentrated Shadow Duos
Best of the Drugstore Brands By Far!
I have always found that drugstore brand eye shadows are not very pigmented, are hard to blend, and don't last. BUT...this Loreal Paris HiP Duo is the exception. These have crazy good pigment, are easy to apply, and are surprisingly long-lasting!! I say go for it!

I tried this a while back and ended up throwing it out. This accentuated my fine lines and wrinkles, applied cakey, and took way too much powder to get any effect at all.

The Bare Minerals Brow Color is messy to open, too messy to apply, and looks unnatural. Definitely not for my brows!
