The scent of the body lotion is quite lovely. It’s youthful, soft and romantic. It’s got a perfect mix of floral and fresh for the spring. As with any fragrance, if you layer shower gels with the lotion, the scent is more intense and it lasts longer. Although I have to admit, when I used Enchanted Orchid Shower Gel in the shower, the smell bore a strong resemblance to Mr. Bubble.

I’ve been using this toner for about a year now after cleansing my face with Olay Foaming Face Wash and it’s extremely gentle on my skin. Olay Refreshing Toner contains witch-hazel, an ingredient that is strong in anti-oxidants and is useful in fighting acne. It’s also recommended for other external skin conditions like eczema, and cracked or blistered skin, therefore making witch-hazel a common ingredient in skin care products. I like apply Refreshing Toner on my skin with a cotton ball and smooth it all over my face. It really is refreshing, not tingly or stingy like some astringents can be. This toner also gets off any dirt that may still be on my face after I wash it (score extra points!).

I looked forward to relieving my skin from the cold and fickle San Francisco weather. But to my disappointment, Pure Cloud Cream didn’t live up to the hype it promised - or that Vogue article, for that matter. After 5 days of testing the moisturizer, I found that my skin was still dry and my forehead was starting to get flaky. At $75 US for a 1.7 oz jar, I wouldn’t splurge on this to save my face from winter. I’d probably use this in the summer or in milder climates where it’s not so cold.

La Mer Cleansing Foam has marine extracts that helps prevent irritation and calms the skin, perfect if you tend to be a little more sensitive. It also contains an exclusive combination of fine pearl and jade powders that acts like a daily exfoliating system to keep your skin silky soft. Okay, I know what you’re thinking. It’s La Mer – it’s too expensive, you can probably find something just as suitable at a more reasonable price, and it probably doesn’t even work as well anyway. While the first two points might be true, I gotta defend my new love in The Cleansing Foam and say, yes, I do believe it works! My skin feels supple, smooth, and dare I say, radiant?! As for the price, I know it might be scary but I’ll tell you now, a little will go a LONG way. I only need to squeeze out about a pea-size and it’s more than enough to cleanse my entire face and not leave a lick of dirt any where! This stuff will last you for months.

When I first wore Blue Satin over New Year’s Eve, I applied two coats to my nails; this proved to be too dark, it looks almost black. So I tried it again, applying just one coat and this time, the true color with all its blue shimmer glory really comes through and I love it! I like Chanel's formulas for polish; it's easy for me to paint nails myself. But, it isn't any more chip resistant than any other polish out there. Vamp is still my all-time Chanel fave!

Bobbi Brown's new Creamy Lip Colors are tops on my list of lipsticks. I've always been a gloss kind of girl since I find a lot of lipstick formulas dry out my lips. Bobbi Brown's are formulated with shea butter making them nice and moisturizing for most of the day. I tried two colors, and although the formula was a little inconsistent between the two, they still kept my lips nice and moisturized. L'Oreal Paris HiP Studio Secrets Professional Concentrated Shadow Duos
HiP's Got Great Color Payoff!
I have two of these duos - Lively and Spirited. They are really great for a drugstore brand with a nice range of colors and an intense color payoff. The texture is about average and they are pretty easy to blend. Careful not to pick up so much color on your brushes as it's pretty intense. They're nice and buildable if you're patient.

Elizabeth Arden Intervene Makeup Broad Spectrum Suncreen SPF 15
Intervene's Turning Me Into a Believer
I normally don’t wear foundation on a regular basis because it always feels a little heavy on my skin and I don’t need much coverage anyway. But after trying Intervene and seeing the before and after, I'm starting to notice that using liquid makeup can really enhance my skin. This particular formula is oil-free, has SPF 15 and gives light to medium coverage. This product also makes the cIaim to "pause the signs of aging". I'm not too sure about that since I haven't used it for long enough, but I think I'm really going to enjoy it for every day use.
