this stick is like a tube of balm for your eyes, this intensely hydrating stick is easy to apply on the go, no need to worry about clean hands.

I’m really enjoying Clinique’s reformulated glosses. Unlike the Bobbi Brown, this has no fragrance or flavor, which is wonderful, but not a real surprise because that’s what Clinique is known for. But it’s refreshing since it’s been years (I think) since I’ve bought a Clinique product. I forgot how relatively inexpensive they are. The best part about this gloss is the SPF. It really is hard to find a good gloss that offers sun protection without all the nasty things like fragrance, flavor & tingling ingredients. All I want is something that is beautiful & protective… And travel friendly! I picked this up in ‘Air Kiss’ a very light & natural shimmery pink

When I saw this at one of the show rooms, I just couldn’t resist picking a set up. Joico has put together travel friendly kits featuring it’s fantastic products AND they print the 3-1-1 rules on the back of the package’s reusable one quart bag. How cute is that? What’s even better are the products… who wants to go away on a beach vacation only to return home with fried hair and faded color? With their 3 step process – shampoo, treatment masque & protective milk you won’t have to rush back to your hair stylist for an emergency session as soon as you step off the plane. Science now shows that sun exposure can actually burn holes in the surface of the hair, which results in a big mess. Bu Joico’s Sun Therapy comes along and fills the holes in, rescuing your hair’s integrity and appearance.

So, when I received some products from Avon’s PR in conjunction with Cynthia Rowley’s Fall 2008 runway show – I was delighted, especially since it included 2 new Be Blushing colours – powder pink & blushing nude. Since our mom gave rave reviews on the Be Blushing stick before, but in the crushed berry colour – I was super excited to try it out in shades a bit more flattering to my complexion. Let me just say – gorgeous, creamy, inexpensive ($8, currently on sale for $5.99) and so very travel friendly.

Curel Natural Healing Soothing Lotion with Lavender, Chamomile, and Oatmeal Extracts Moisture Lotion
Lovely lotion!
Have you ever put on a body lotion or cream that was way to thick for the hot weather? Your skin starts sweating through every pore on your body & you almost immediately need to shower again. That's exactly what happens to me each Summer (especially with changing climates constantly with work) and I was looking for a lotion I could use that would be extremely hydrating for the Summer months with out being too heavy. I started using Curel Natural Healing Moisture Lotion & my body has not been dried out at all, which is unusual for me. The smell is a very soft & soothing a mix of lavender, chamomile & oatmeal extracts. It was just hydrating enough, not too over bearing in scent or weight, and I swear - the light lavender scent made me sleep a little better!

Not until today when I was getting my hair colored did I realize how pale my skin was next to my stylist. The sun is shining & I could lay outside but instead I immediately ran home to give myself a spray tan. I went right home and used this L'Oreal Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Airbrush Self-Tanning Mist (a test product from Totalbeauty). The product worked beautifully even if it wasn't as dark as I wanted, I would rather be safe than sorry. It had a great smell & dried very quickly for me to get my clothes back on. However I wasn't able to see it going on as well as others have. I will definitely have this glow the next time I see my stylist & will be free of those guilty damaging sun rays. All in all, a good drugstore product, but no way is it a match for our professional airbrush system - more on that soon

Taking flight? Want to keep your skin safely hydrated but have oily skin & a fear of a super oily face? There is a solution. L'oreal Skin Genesis oil-free lotion & serum concentrate. These products are both lightweight, non-comedogenic, oil-free & contain hyaluronic acid. Using these products for just a couple of weeks I could see my skin looking stronger, tighter & smoother, however they aren't deeply hydrating enough for my dry skin. They would be perfect for anyone who is on the oily side, but only at night because they don't contain SPF! Each bottle weighs in under 2 ounces so they can fit in your TSA liquid baggie & best of all they have a twist lock top so there is no chance of them exploding in your suit case.

I hate to say this, but it really is better than MAC's Fluidline. It has great staying power, it lasts all day and even after a p.m. workout! Come see my full review - http://mikaelasjetsetbeauty.blogspot.com/2008/04/good-news-and-bad-news.html ...or under 'Blogs we Love'
