    Urban Decay Eyeshadow

    Urban Decay Matte Eyeshadow

I never would have imagined myself wanting a matte white shadow, but when I went on a matte eyeshadow kick recently, I decided I needed a good all-purpose matte highlight shade. I love Urban Decay's matte eyeshadows, and Yeyo turned out to be just what I wanted. Yeyo is white white and absolutely matte, but it's silky, without even a trace of chalkiness. I agree 100% with the reviewer who remarked that Yeyo makes you look like you've had a good night's sleep. Apply Yeyo on the inner corners of your upper lids, and it will pop your eyes wide open! I'm very pale (NW15), and Yeyo subtly but effectively "lights up" my face, anywhere I put it. The packaging is fine, consisting of a sturdy mirrorless flip-top compact designed to resemble a subway token. I'll always want this one on hand, I think. Got this as a birthday present and was quite excited to use this. I have tried UD matte eyeshadows and they are amazing when you don't want tons of glitter on your face. I expected this to be a really nice pigmented white but sadly it hardly shows up on the face. I've learned to use this shadow as a brightener/highlighter on the highpoints of the face though such as the brow bone, down the nose, and above cheekbones and it does give a very subtle brightening effect in those areas :). Love the texture and packaging. I love this eyeshadow. It's rich white and silky smooth to the touch - it's Urban Decay quality I guess. Totally matte with a beautiful soft finish. I've been using it as an under eye highlight on my fair complexion and it instantly brightens me up. I find most other highlights are just too yellow or orange or shimmery ... plain white is just what I needed. I'm very cool toned so for someone with a warmer base, this might not be as wonderful. I absolutely adore this eyeshadow. I love using it as my brow highlight, because I usually use a shimmer on top of my lid and in my crease, and I like the way the different textures compliment each other. First off, the quality of the shadow is unreal. It truly feels like velvet. It glides on with absolute ease, and doesn't look chalky or cakey. The other benefit is that it's buildable, so you can apply a light later, or add a lot more for a more intense color. It is a staple of mine, and I will go to it about 5 times a week. Amazing shadow!

  • Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15

I use this lotion instead of my usual normal Aveeno lotion and I much prefer this. It is very light in comparison. However it is quite oily and I also have oily skin, making me look like an oil slick at times. However it does say that it is radiant so that is where that plays in. I recommend this product if you are looking for a light moisturizer with spf.

    E.L.F Studio HD Blush

    Favorite Blush

I absolutely love this blush. I prefer cream blushes to powder blushes because they are just more pigmented. I have the colors "Superstar" and "Encore." I prefer superstar because it is a lighter pink and looks better on my skin. I use the elf stipple brush to apply this blush. You only need a tiny tiny bit and it will be more than enough. However, sometimes it is difficult to work the pump. Once, I couldn't get the pump to work and I thought I just ran out of product even though it looked like there was still half the bottle in there. It just takes a bit of strength to wiggle the pump and get it working again. It seems like the actual blush might not be that well mixed up in the bottle. At one point, the cream was very dry and at other times it came out super liquidy, but it still worked either way. I definitely recommend using a light hand when applying this. I would buy this product again.

  • E.L.F. Studio High Definition Powder

After I used Tarte's Smooth Operator Loose Powder I thought that I could never find a powder that I would love more. I was devastated when I used up the powder and didn't want to pay such a pretty penny for it again. While browsing through Target, I came across this gem and decided to try it out, for six bucks I couldn't lose. And boy was I right, this was a gem. I have been purchasing this over and over for years now. This is my favorite finishing powder. It makes my makeup completely matte without it looking too powder. The feeling it leaves on my makeup is amazing. They also have another powder that is the same but in a compact. I like that one too since the packaging is sleeker and easier to carry in my purse. I would recommend both to anyone looking for an affordable HD powder.

  • E.L.F. Blushing, Bronzing and Blending Brush

It is an okay brush. When I first bought it a long time ago, I used it for contouring. I still use it sometimes today but only when my favorite brush is too dirty to use and I have to use this in a pinch. The brush is very "scratchy" as some other reviewers have stated, but this is only true when you just get it or after you wash it. It loses that stiff bristle feel after a couple of uses. The brush sheds a lot and that is my only complaint, but for only a dollar I can live with it.

    E.L.F. Shimmering Facial Whip

    Favorite Highlighter

I bought this product a long time ago and initially I did not like it. However I ran out of my Benefit High Beam one day and decided to use this shimmer whip in the pink color I had as a highlighter in a pinch. I am so glad I decided to do that, I have been getting so many compliments everyday about my highlighter and they never believe it when I say that it is just this product. While I like the pink one, I feel that the yellow-er one would suit my skin tone much more. When I run out of the one I have now, I will definitely buy more and try out different colors. For only a dollar, you can't miss out.

E.L.F. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara

    Favorite Clear Mascara

This is very affordable and I don't see what a person should pay more than a couple of bucks for such a simple product. I only use this on my eyebrows as a clear setting gel. It keeps my hairs in place without making them feel very stiff. I will definitely be using this product for a long time.

    E.L.F. Eye Shadow Brush

    Good Eye Shadow Brush

I don't wear eyeshadow a lot but on the days that I do, I always use this brush. It is very affordable and does its job as a basic shader brush. Unlike some of the other elf brushes this does not shed. I would recommend it to anyone.

  • Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30

I kept everything in my skin routine the same except I switched out my typical Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion with this. I like this moisturizer much more, this is lighter and feels less tacky. I also like that it has SPF since none of the other products in my skin routine have SPF (I know I should really use sunscreen). When it says radiant, it really means radiant. I don't really mind it but it makes my skin look really oily. It is kinda good since I have combination skin, so my dry spots gets a bit of moisture but the oily spots stay oily. I have been using this product for about two weeks, I think there have been improvements in my skin. While the changes might not be very visible, my face definitely feels better. On days I do not use this product, I can tell the difference because my skin gets very dry. I would use this product again.

  • Nair Wax-Ready Strips Body

The body strips did not work for me at all. I normally shave my legs and I decided to try these strips about 2 or 3 days after shaving, so my leg hairs were kinda stubbly. I cleaned my skin of any oils and lotion and just tried a patch on my shin. It did not pull anything off. Granted maybe my leg hairs were too short to pull out. But in order for that to work I would probably have to not shave for about a week or two and I don't like the feeling of having my legs hairy so I don't see this product or any waxing product in general working for me. I would say it's worth a try if you are fine with letting your hairs grow out a bit first.
