L'Oreal's HIP Kohl Eyeliner is a fabulous idea (a powder eyeliner in a tube with a brush wand for application) but it's really messy and hard to apply. The brush does not "give" when you sweep it across your lashline so you end up dropping the powder on your cheeks (and this stuff as staying power so you need to use makeup remover to get it off). I tried the Burgundy color which is a lovely wine shade with specs of gold in it, but was too light for my taste. When I use an eyeliner I like it to go on thicker and then giving me the ability to smudge it so it's less harsh. This one went on very light and I needed to work hard to get the color I wanted. Overall I was just disappointed and would never buy this product again.

Skin Genesis by L'Oreal is a new line that aims to combat the signs of early aging using a special cell-strengthening system to make skin tighter and more even. It's a two part process (which normally I would think was too high maintenance for me) but it really does work. First you apply the Daily Treatment Serum which contains Pro-Xylane (a funky molecule founded by L'Oreal which strengthens skin and reignites cell activity layer by layer) and Hyaluronic Acid (skin's natural hydrator). The serum initially feels extremely sticky so it's best to pat it on lightly using your fingertips. I thought I would hate the tacky feeling but it goes away fairly quickly and leaves skin feeling tighter than before you put it on. The next step is applying the daily moisturizer which actually kept my dry skin hydrated! I was stunned. The moisturizer absorbs somewhat quickly and has a lovely fresh scent to is. What I found amazing was how great my skin continues to feel after using for a while. The products are fairly expensive ($20.00 per bottle) but it really is worth it to keep skin looking it's best.

Even though it hurts the wallet ($75.00 - yikes!) this highly moisturizing and incredibly soothing cream is great for people who are experiencing some dryness and sensitivity whether it’s genetic or just laser, peel or weather induced. Smells like delicious creamsicles and contains Oat Extract and Aloe to help soothe dry, tight skin and Almond Oil to really moisturize. It doesn't contain any SPF, though, so be prepared to add on sun protection before you leave the house.

While this lotion does sink in immediately (non-greasy) it leaves a horribly sunscreen-y smell that is making me sick as I type this. Aside from the stench, my hands are not left any softer than they were before I slathered it on. Also, it's the tiniest bottle in the world for the hefty pricetag.
