The first morning I came to work wearing Studio Fix, one of my colleagues came up to me and said (verbatim!) "Darling, you're glowing! Did you get a facial or something?" - Yes, he happens to be gay, but that only makes me trust his compliments more (I mean, what would his ulterior motive be?). Not too mention that it stays on all day, gives me porcelain doll skin, doesn't clog my pores... Seriously, if you like compact foundation - or, actually, even if you don't think you do - try Studio Fix and you will never stray.

OPI nailpolish is amazing in so many ways: the pigments are rich, the color selection great, and of course their brush that makes it so much easier to get even layers without getting any polish on the skin around the nail. BUT (and this is quite a big one, for me) it doesn't last longer than any 4$ nailpolish I've tried, and honestly, that bugs me. If I pay good money for a nailpolish I want it to stay as good as it looked when i apply it for at least a couple of days. And that's where OPI fails to deliver. But hey, if you've got the time to re-do your nails every 3 days or so, don't let me stop you! (I'm Not Really A Waitress is, for what it's worth, my favorite nail color ever.)

What else is there to say than has already been said a thousand times? The variety of colors - stunning. Matte, shiny, sparkling; pigment-rich, natural-looking - your pick. Their femme fatale reds are unbeatable - my favorite is Russian Red, which works perfectly with my porcelain skin tone.

One of my best impulse buys ever. It takes some time getting used to applying with a brush, but the results are impossible to beat: it lasts PERFECTLY. I wore it for 30 hours straight, through an amazing evening out, an amazing night in, and a tearful farewell the next day... It looked as immaculate as when I'd put it on. Thank you, MAC, for making a sad day a little easier.

My favorite MAC sales assistant helped me pick out "Fleurry (Frost)" out of the, as usual, stunning choices of colors. I've used it every single day for 10 months, and I haven't hit the pan yet - I'm not even half-way there. This is why I love MAC: quality, quantity, and awesome value for money.

With the right (trick: go fast) technique, you CAN avoid the clumping that most reviewers mention, and get pretty amazing lashes. But why bother when there are better fish in the sea, even in the MAC counter? I prefer my mascara hassle-free.

I can't really justify to myself buying MAC eye shadow that often, since they cost as much as they do... But boy, if I could! The array of colors is mezmerizing, it stays put for hours and hours - and it's so easy to blend I NEVER mess it up (and I'm a true klutz). But then again, it's MAC - why expect anything less than stellar?

To me, Hypnôse feels like the child of Courbe Virtuôse and Fatale. It's dry, fool proof to apply (unless you're a total klutz, like I can be sometimes, in which case it can clump a bit) - yet gives you a row of long, full, almost doll-like lashes. Dries up pretty quickly, unfortunately.

When I buy a mascara this expensive, I expect a lot out of it. Did Courbe Virtuose live up to my expectations? Sort of. It holds the curl of my Shu Uemura eyelash curler decently (although not as good as I had hoped - still looking for the perfect curl-mascara!), it doesn't clump, and even on a godawful hungover Sunday morning it's fool proof. (Yes, that is one of my demands. Judge me if you like.) However, I'm not satisfied with "good" - I want my lashes to be amazing, can-those-possibly-be-real, over the top lashes. That, you don't get from CV. Conclusion: good for everyday, basic, use.

I usually don't buy expensive mascaras (what's the point in spending lots of cash on something you have to throw away two months later, not even half-empty?) but I was so curious I couldn't help buying Fatale. The first week, I was so disappointed: it clumped, took ages to apply, and weighed my lashes down. However, now, two weeks later, I've gotten used to the brush - and yes Fatale delivers. It gives you ah-mazing lashes. Absolutely fabulous. My one complaint still, though, is that it doesn't hold a curl - a minute after application you can't even tell if I curled my lashes or not.
