Chanel Exceptionnel De Chanel Intense Volume and Curl Mascara
Wow you mean this mascara is double the price AND it takes twice as long to apply than my normal brand? Where do I sign up?
I have long straight lashes and I was not that impressed with this mascara even compared to my drug store brand. First of all, the brush was confusing. What is the point of this brush? What's it supposed to do? Is this brush the reason I will never be able to afford to buy this mascara or get it to work right? Anyway. I use an eyelash curler with my mascara because my lashes are very long and very straight (no mascara on the planet can "curl" them). All I expect from a good mascara is that it will set the curl from my eyelash curler. With this one, I had to curl my lashes TWICE. Once, then apply mascara, then curl again. This mascara didn't curl my lashes, it actually took the curl out of my lashes by weighing them down with the clumpy "volume" it provided. I had to use a separate eye lash brush to get my lashes to stop clumping up. So all in all this mascara took twice as long to apply than my usual mascara. The only reason why I give this mascara any stars is that the end effect was more dramatic than my usual mascara. But then again, if I took a bit more time with my drug store brand mascara (adding in a few more layers) I probably could get the same affect. This was a big no for me. I need a mascara that doesn't take so much time and money.

Maybelline New York Great Lash Waterproof Mascara
Good mascara for those of us who are used to waterproof!
I didn't have any problems with clumping with this one as some of the other reviewers did. Though, I've been using waterproof mascara for years now. Perhaps it does take some getting used to if you are switching from a washable to this. I found this mascara to be one of the best ones I've tried and the price is unbeatable. Maybelline New York is at the top of my list as far as mascara and especially waterproof mascara. Most all of them from Maybelline I've tried, I've liked. It would be good to remember that waterproof mascara is just different- not worse than any other mascara. And different is not always a bad thing ;) The trick is to coat your lashes as quickly as possible with a light first coat first and then go over once more with a more in depth coat to even out the look. And it is also important to remember to use a silicone based make-up remover to remove waterproof make-up. When you take these things into consideration first, this mascara is a clear winner!

This one was a solid performer. The application is a snap. It's the quickest application for a waterproof mascara that I've experienced in a while. The mini brush was confusing, but it worked to really coat the lashes well the first time so a second application was not needed. As far as lengthening, I saw no real difference. The volume was good overall because of the formula's ability to coat and cling well to the lashes. In order to get the fulless volume, I still had to use a lash brush. But when I did, the volume was totally there!

It stays and stays and stays! That's what I love about mineral blush most of all. Not only that, you can work it into your skin for a more natural glow and can use it lightly for day or more heavy for evening. Working this blush into the skin with the built-in Kabuki brush is the secret to this blush's natural look and long wear. I keep this blush in my make-up box at all times! But the only set back is that it's not small enough to fit in my purse :(

I am a mineral blush kind of girl. I just haven't had much luck gettng the same blendability and long wear with regular blushes as I have with mineral blushes. Right now I use L'Oreal's Bare Naturale Blush and am satisfied with it. But, on a buy one get one free whim, I tried L'Oreal's True Match Blendable Blush and was very impressed. The application was easier than my mineral blush and it seemed to have the same stay power. And it fits perfectly into my make-up pouch in my purse which I can't do with my mineral blush! So this one is staying in my purse for sure!

I don't usually use concealer for anything but one thing. Under eye circles. Have had them all of my life. The reason why I like this concealer as one of the best that I've tried is that it is one of the best concealers that I've found for this purpose. I have no idea if this concealer works for blemishes since I usually just use my foundation to cover those. So for strictly an under-eye concealer, this is one of the best. It goes on very smooth and doesn't settle in the lines or look dry after application. I've got thirty something skin so, to me that's important. My under-eyes haven't looked this good in years!

This lip liner is smooth and it stays very well without looking dry and caked on like a lot of long wear lip liners. This one stays just as good, if not better since it doesn't flake off! Choose a color that is just slightly darker than your lips and you can have a natural soft look that blends in with any lipstick shade. Then this lip liner is all that you will need!

I started using this cleanser and almost immediately, I saw a small crop of zits forming. And only after a few days of use, I had an acne problem. This cleanser should be good for DRY sensitive skin. But not so good for combination sensitive skin that easily breaks out with too much moisture. This cleanser did not do so well with my skin. Though it's a great formula, my skin says "no way". This may work for some people, but it didn't work for me. If you have sensitive combination skin like mine that has both dry and oily spots with acne, you may want to try Neutrogena's Fresh Foaming Cleanser with a moisturizing toner. You can get the grease out and put just enough moisture back for a great look and feel!

I use this product when nothing else works. It's like a the weapon of mass destruction for pimples. You only use it when completely called for. And like WMDs, Clean & Clear Maximum Stength Persa-Gel 10 can have a "ground zero" affect so be careful not to use too much. If you have a big problem pimple before the prom kind of situation, Persa-Gel 10 is your best bet to treat it and clear it up quickly before your big event. I don't recommend it for extensive use though. If you have a problem with acne all over the face, the trick is to get a medicated moisturizer like Clinique Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer to clear up the entire area without drying.

L'Oreal Paris True Match Naturale Mineral Foundation
This is great stuff for people with sensitive skin
And the price, compared to other mineral foundations, is a steal! I have really sensitive skin and most foundations (even those recommended for sensitive skin) made me break out really bad. Then I found mineral foundation and I was able to wear make-up again- even though it cost about 5 times as much, it was still worth it. But now, L'Oreal's come out with their own line of mineral cosmetics! They are not only chopping the price down to affordable, they also made the product convenient and transportable making my old expensive mineral foundation a waste of both time and money. So mooooove over Bare Minerals. Mama's got a brand new make-up!
