  • John Frieda Awakening Strength Restoring Conditioner

It's no miracle. Just a very smelly conditioner. It was way too minty to use everyday. I didn't notice a real difference to the growth of my hair nor any real change in strength either. I would recommend John Frieda's Luxurious Volume line instead. It's not minty and it's great for volume!

  • Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer

I was afraid of breaking out when I tried this tinted moisturizer. I can't wear regular foundation for this reason as well and Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer looked a lot like a foundation. But I was pleasantly surprised at how sheer and natural this went on! I had a little bit of break out after the first application. But I washed my face and tried it the next day. I didn't notice any new breakouts, but I did notice my skin had a glow to it. The cool thing was even after I washed my face, the glow stayed. The trick I learned with this tinted moisturizer is to set it with Neutrogena's Mineral Sheers compact. It still looked natural, but I had less oily areas and no breakouts! So I can say this is a very nice product. It would have gotten 10 stars had it included a mattifying ingredient. But the retinol is amazing and it's got the SPF I need to really protect my skin. This is a great tinted moisturizer for the beach!

  • Neutrogena MoistureShine Gloss

    Neutrogena MoistureShine Gloss

Great Color Pallet , Kind of Sparkly though

I though this lip gloss came in many great neutral tones. But the sparkles were a bit distracting and also left the feel of the gloss a bit grainy. But this was minimized by using a good lip balm before application. Overall, this was a great lip gloss

  • John Frieda Hydrate + Nourish Shampoo for Dry Scalp & Breakage-Prone Hair

I've liked using this shampoo. It has been gentle on my thin fragile hair. It also rinses away clean. This product is similar to Neutrogena's Triple Renewal Volume Strength and Shine which has been one of my favorites for awhile. Root Awakening Strength Restoring Shampoo is a a great buy!

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Perfectly Full Mousse

Soft, Clean Texture for a Steel!

I loved how this mousse glided onto my hair. It wasn't at all sticky and had a clean scent and feel. The texture and volume that this mousse provides still holds up to other brands, but the softness was a pleasant extra I got from using this mousse. Unique and quite a treat- I dare say I'm making it my new requirement. Yes, ladies, you can get soft, clean texture and volume with this product!

  • Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Night Cream

This is a great moisturizer. I use this night cream as an eye cream! The Retinol in this product is worth the buy and try! It's not a complete cure for wrinkles, but it comes close when used regularly. One of the best Retinol products- as effective as Olay Pro-X, but waaaaaaaay cheaper. This cream's price point is very do-able for any budget. Who says looking good has to cost an arm and a leg? So go ahead and "splurge" on this. You'll get your money's worth and much more!

  • John Frieda Luxurious Volume Root Booster Blow Dry Lotion

This became an instant classic for me. I use this spray on wet hair, spray it from the roots to tips. I sometimes add a mousse as well. I blow it out, spray it with a dry shampoo to set the look (a product called Psssst works great). The dry shampoo also removes the sticky feel from this product as well as makes it last all day! I've tried tons of root boosters, volumizers and lifters, but this product is my new favorite! And the price point is amazing as well!

  • John Frieda Awakening Health Boosting Detangling Spray
    7.0

John Frieda Awakening Health Boosting Detangling Spray

It's an extra step, so weight the pros and cons

I've been finding this spray to be somewhat beneficial for detangling, but as far as the other claims about breakage protection and "root awakening," volumizing etc, I am better off using other products. At times this product seems like an extra step that I don't have time for at times and is often not even needed. There are other John Frieda products that have more versatility and better volume boosting effects. I find the actual "Volume" line of styling products are better for heat protection and give hair better texture and volume.

  • Maybelline New York Color Sensational Lip Color

I used to be addicted to Lancome lipsticks back in the day when I could afford it. Now that I am more frugal, I've found alternatives to my high end cosmetics craze. After going frugal, I did the research and found out that the makers of Lancome products also made Maybelline and L'Oreal cosmetics. They are all basically the same company. When I tried these Maybelline New York Color Sensational lipsticks I said "Yes! This is it!" The same feel, color, texture, fragrance. Everything about this lipstick screams Lancome! So take a break on your wallet and go to your drugstore and get this lipstick. No one has to know ;)
