L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Makeup comes in 24 shades, which far exceeds other drugstore makeup brands. I used the foundation closest to my skin color using the color swatch, but when I tried it on my face, it was far too light on me. Maybe it would work for winter? Also, it had a really matte almost powder-like finish that accentuated my dry spots. Seriously, my skin looked 100% better with no makeup on than with this foundation. It did help remind me that it was time to exfoliate, however! In general, I'm not a big fan of liquid foundations and prefer mineral makeup because it looks much more natural on my skin. It might work for light, spot concealing, but still--it highlights dry areas so make sure you're well exfoliated.

I am out in the sun a lot just because I live in Southern California, and I do notice that my hair gets lighter in the sun. I don't color my hair, but when I did, I would have been more interested in a product like this. Even so, this is still a decent spray. Not only does it protect hair, it also conditions it. My hair was smooth and shiny after I used it and it controlled frizz. But you have to be careful not to use too much, or else it will weigh down hair and made it a tad greasy. I like that you can apply it to damp or dry hair. And the rosemary mint smell is kind of intense at first, but fades into a pleasant scent. Pretty good overall, but for someone who does not color their hair, I don't have a whole lot of use for this product.

I don't understand why a lot of new mascaras make their wands so big these days. I always end up getting mascara on my eyelids, when I'm applying product. Another problem with the large wand is that it collects a lot of product in clumps on the brush. At first, I didn't wipe the brush off when I applied it, and I got major spider lashes. But even when I did wipe off the wand, the mascara was too heavy for my lashes. It immediate weighed them down and took out any curl I put in with my Shu Uemura eyelash curler. My eyelashes looked flat, and it made them stick together and feel heavy, like I was wearing false eyelashes! Honestly, I removed this mascara because the feeling bugged me so much.

I tried out the new Chapstick True Shimmers in all four scents: Botanical Berry and Tropical, which are out now, and Peppermint Rush and Blended Fruit Sherbet, which will be available August, 2009. Botanical Berry is a pink shade and smells like mixed berries. Tropical is white and smells like a pina colada for your lips. Peppermint Rush is my favorite. It's a blue color and leaves a cool minty sensation on your lips. It's pretty addictive. I can't stop putting this stuff on. Blended Fruit Sherbet is a purple shade and smells like fruit punch. This is my least favorite of the bunch because the scent is a little overwhelming. My main problem with these lip balms is that they don't contain SPF and they aren't super moisturizing. But for the price, $2.79 a piece, they aren't bad.

I don't know if it's just me, but it took me a good five minutes to figure out how to open this lip gloss. Lip gloss shouldn't be this difficult. I can't understand why they didn't just make a regular, double-ended gloss? Anyway, once I finally got it open, I realized you can apply color from either side or mix the two. Kind of cute, I guess. But both colors I tried (Swanky and Trendy) were so lackluster that it didn't really add up to a whole lot. They resulted in a nondescript frosty looking gloss on my lips. That said, the glosses are super soft, non-sticky and moisturizing. They smell kind of like cake batter, which isn'tt too bad, but a little too sweet for my taste. And while pleasant to apply, the gloss wears off too quickly and without enough color payoff. And, major points off for the packaging, which is confusing and overly gimmicky. Since this retails for $13.00, I would say you can get a much better gloss for that price elsewhere.

I use this daily as a moisturizer for my cuticles and it works great! I keep a little pot by my computer and I just rub it in whenever I think of it. It's helped my dry cuticles tremendously. I use to get hangnails all the time, but not so much anymore. I don't really use this product on my hair, however. But I can see how it would work on super dry ends. The only thing that bugs me is the scent--I'm not a big fan of it.

I've used this mascara for years, and for the price, it is definitely one of the best. I get the waterproof version most of the time, and while it is drier, it also stays put until you take it off. This may not be the best lengthening or volumizing mascara, it is a fantastic basic mascara, which is great for day use. There is a reason it's "America's #1 Mascara"!
