  • Jergens Shea Butter Skin Enriching Cream

To my delight, Jergens Shea Butter Cream is as luxurious as more expensive shea products. It's difficult to find a product that leaves you feeling satisfactorily moiturized, yet not greasy. Jergens Shea Butter Cream is heavenly and at a great price point. I will keep this in my cream cache.

  • Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Bronzing Veil

Trying to be more conscious of what I put on my skin, I bought Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Bronzing Veil. As a fair-skinned woman, most bronzers leave me looking orange. This is fabulous. It leaves an invisible hint of color that looks so natural. With the mirror on the outside of the case and the brush applicator, it is a great product to keep in your handbag. I will now try other organic wear products from Physicians.

    La Roche-Posay Anthelios SX

One of the Four Sunscreens I Pack in My Beach Bag

This is one of four sunscreens that I pack in my beach bag. With its thick consistency, it's a better bet for wearing on the beach than wearing under your makeup. Although La Roche-Posay reports that Anthelios is "ideal for sensitive skin" and causes no reaction on my skin, some of my friends have experienced a sensitivity to their eyes after application. I am a big fan of Mexoryl. Mexoryl SX is the most effective UVA-blocking ingredient currently available. It has been used in Canada and Europe since 1993 but approved by the FDA for use in the U.S. in July 2006.

Lancome UV Expert 20 with Mexoryl SX

Just The Right Consistency to Wear Under Makeup

Lancome UV Expert 20 contains Mexoryl SX. According to dermatologists, Mexoryl SX is the most effective UVA-blocking ingredient currently available. It has been used in Canada and Europe since 1993 but approved by the FDA for use in the U.S. in July 2006. This is one of my four sunscreens that I pack in my beach bag. • Kiss My Face Pure Olive Oil Bar Soaps

Kiss My Face Soap has no animal ingredients, foaming agents, or preservatives. It is so natural and Green, that from time to time, you may actually see variances in shade and color as a result of the season of the year and the orchard from which the olives were selected for that particular batch of soap. It smells fresh and it is very moisturizing. For the price, it's a safe and good bet.

  • NeoCutis Lumiere Bio-Restorative Eye Cream

    NeoCutis Lumiere Bio-Restorative Eye Cream

Pricey But Contains A Lot of Pricey Ingredients

I tested this for my derm's assistant. Although it is pricey, it is an eye cream that contains a lot of pricey ingredients: Bisabolol and sodium hyaluronate, in combination with PSP - Processed Skin Proteins, - which is a blend of essential nutrients, such as growth factors, antioxidants and matrix proteins, including collagen. I don't have puffy eyes, but I do have dark circles underneath my eyes. It has lessened the dark circles a miniscule amount. The gentle cream has not caused any irritation to my eyes. I am not sold enough to purchase this myself.

    Caudalie Beauty Elixir

    In Flight Prescription

If you fly often, you will want to pack Caudalie Beauty Elixir in your handbag. (It is approved by the FAA.) Flying can wreak havoc on your skin. According to Chanel's research lab, (the World Congress of Dermatology in Paris, the Epidermal and Sensory Research and Investigation Centre), in-flight humidity was only 8 percent on average (20 percent is considered comfortable). As a result, moisture in women's cheeks dropped by 20 percent and in their foreheads by 15 percent. (And here I thought all along that my cheek and forehead droop was a result of anti-gravitational pull.) "Extreme temperature fluctuations and those tiny fans blowing on you can dry skin out," says Doris J. Day, MD, assistant clinical professor of dermatology at New York University Medical Center. "And both the environmental and psychological stress of flying cause the release of hormones, so skin may be oilier in places that are usually oily and drier in places that are dry." To counteract the in-flight condition, I use Caudalie Beauty Elixir. The "prescription" contains rosemary and essential oils, plus a lovely minty scent that lifts your spirits. When I deplane, I feel fresh and moisturized.

    Anastasia Brow Express Palette

    Alleviates Sad Brow Syndrome

As a woman with Sad Brow Syndrome, I have coached my brows into shape with Anastasia's brow products. Although Oprah launched Anastasia Soare into most women's cosmetic vernacular, the brow maven had already performed her magic on most of women and girls in Hollywood. The influence of Anastasia's mother, who was a tailor, and Anastasia's attendance at the Romania College of Architecture, honed Anastasia's aesthetic skills prior to becoming a cosmetology student. The only caveat, if you are light blonde, your brows may require the golden blonde powder. Brow powder should be two shades darker than your hair.

Aveda Caribbean Therapy Soy Wax Candle

A Perfect Way to Relieve Stress

A perfect way to relieve stress: Draw a bath, pour yourself a glass of sparkling water (or whatever libation suits your fancy), turn down the lights, light the Caribbean Therapy soy candle, and wash all your stress down the drain. The tropical smell transports you to another place. Love the fact that it's soy, too. Ahhhh....isn't that better?

    Aveda Brilliant Hair Spray

    Not My Cup of Hairspray

I own this, but I rarely use it. I'm not a big fan of hairspray. It does give medium hold, but to me, it looks like you are wearing hairspray. If this is your goal, then it might a good product for you. It does have a lovely clean scent, though.
