Effortless to apply, consistent performer. This mascara gives you a lush doe-eyed fringe with no threat of raccoon eyes midday. It is water resistant, but comes off easily with face cleanser or eye-makeup remover.

I had been looking for a mascara that was more purple than burgundy and found exactly what I was looking for in Deep Violet. (Some products say violet or purple when they seemingly mean burgundy or dark red.) It builds quickly, so be careful not to go too heavy or it'll clump. The color is great, it doesn't smudge, removes easily, and creates long full lashes in two coats.

The marine collagen used in this product to create fuller lips can cause anaphlaxis -allergic shock- if you are sensitive to shellfish or if the person you kiss is. Be careful out there, encourage safe kisses!

CARGO's tin glosses are great glosses, they have just the right amount of shine without being gloppy or heavy. The colors are subtle and very wearable on any skintone. The downside? Finger application isn't for everyone and these glosses will liquify in your handbag on a hot day. If finger application isn't for you, try their Purse Gloss, same formula in a finger-free applicator!

Mocktail lip gloss is okay. But just okay. It's great that the specially designed tubes don't leak and that the brush is wider than most, but the colors and consistency are just so-so and kind of pricey for so-so quality. I rather have CARGO's PurseGloss for the money.

If your lashes need to feel a little punk rock, this is a great choice for you. The purple tones are a bit subtler than the green and are office appropriate or good options for the redhaired person looking for an auburn option. The formula builds easily, is removable with eye-makeup remover and minimal effort, and looks fabulous. The colors are deep and rich, so they look less "nightclub" than say the Bourjois colored mascaras that are fun but not for day wear.

If you prefer the natural look and just want to enhance your lashes, this is a great option for you. It is glossy, lasts the day, and is non-irritating. If you are a bit of a glamour-girl, this probably doesn't have enough va-voom for you.

Lancome Cils Booster provides a long lush lash base for believable glamour. Apply the base to one eye, then immediately follow with mascara, then do the other eye. Too much drying time between applying the booster and mascara will lead to clumps or stickiness. Works best with Definicils mascara. It's a must if you want Natalie Portman-esque lashes.

If your pocketbook can't afford to splurge for Lancome Definicils, Max Factor 2000 Calorie is a great option. It is water resistant but comes off easily with face cleanser or eye makeup remover. It gives plush long lashes with two coats, don't overdo it with 4 coats or it will clump.

It seems that the eye shadows included in the palettes are a different formula from the ones that are sold in individual pans or duos. I really like the individual colors, but the palette colors, while easy to blend, get chalky or disappear after a few hours wear.
