I used to go all out with the eye makeup, but I am only able to wear a little eye shadow due to my severe dry eye condition. Now that I'm used to how it looks, I like it better, because I can touch my eye area (to add eye drops, rinse my contacts, etc.) w/o having to worry about messing up my eye makeup. I rarely go anywhere w/o foundation due to a history of cystic acne (I have a lot of discoloration and scars). I don't get zits too often these days, though. I wish my skin was smooth. Dermabrasion helped a little bit, but it's so expensive, and it has to be done on a regular basis. I have keloid skin, too, which means that I scar badly. I doubt highly that an acid peel would be a good idea for me - I think it would make the scarring worse. All we can do is the best with what we have, right?
