    Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Makes your eyeshadow "pop" and stay put all day

I have somewhat oily lids and Urban Decay Primer potion helps my shadow stay in place almost all day without creasing or fading much in color, not to mention, it makes any eyeshadow of any brand "pop" for more intense color. In my experience with this product, once it's dried up, it's virtually impossibly to budge the eyeshadow. The container is very cute and a little of the product goes a long way.

  • Urban Decay Ink Lip Stain

    Urban Decay Ink Lip Stain

    Natural looking results

This is the first ever lip stain I've used and one of the better stains out there. I actually prefer this over UD's Lip Envy stain. An A+ for the felt pen type applicator which makes application very easy and precise. The finish is very natural, giving you the "your lips, only better" look. Intensity can be built upon by a couple more swipes of the applicator for bolder color. This is one of a few stains I own that didn't make my lips dry out but I preferred using lip balm on top of it for added shine and moisture. Lasting power is very good. Even after eating and drinking, the color didn't fade much and when it finally wore off (about 6 hrs on me), the color faded evenly without leaving a ring around your lip area. If only they would come out with more color selection, it would be perfect.

    Stila Lip Rouge

I have used better products than this

I don't know if it's just my lips but this rouge wouldn't color my top lip as good as the lower lip no matter how many times I swiped it with the applicator. Also the color wears off too quick starting at the center of the lips so after about 2 hours, I'm left with a ring around my lip area as if I had just applied lip liner and forgot to put my lipstick on. I don't know how long this was sitting on the shelf at my local Sephora but I just got this a little over a month ago and the felt tip is already pretty dry, making it hard to get the product out. I had high hopes for this as it came in a felt pen-type applicator which I like. Sadly for a lip stain, it doesn't work too well. Now it sits in a drawer among other stuff I disliked, drying up even more. For the price, I have used better lip stains than this that lasted longer and wore off more evenly.

  • Victoria's Secret Very Voluptuous Extreme Volume Mascara

Like many mascaras that promise thicker, fuller, longer lashes, this mascara belongs to the "didn't deliver as advertised" category. I really didn't find anything special about it. I thought that since the wand brush had a lot of bristles on it, it was going to be good. Sadly that wasn't the case. It didn't make lashes thicker, fuller or longer looking. It just coated it with black goop that weighed my eyelashes down and straightened out its natural curl. Also the product became thickened in the tube after only a month of purchasing it, making the product clumpy on my lashes upon application. It then flaked off, leaving bits of black specks on my cheeks. I tossed it in the trash after that. Bottom line: when it worked it was only OK but there was nothing about it worth gushing over. When it dries up in the container which happened rather quickly with mine, it's basically useless.

  • Styli-Style Styli-Steals L3 Lip Stains

    Styli-Style Styli-Steals L3 Lip Stains

It would be really nice if they made more colors

With that said, this lip stain is pretty good. My favorite part about it is the felt pen type applicator which makes application very precise and very easy. The one I have is Hudson which is rosey with a very slight hint of coral although I prefer something with a little more orange base as opposed to pink base. The color goes on sheer but can be built upon for a more dramatic lip color. It's also one of those stains that is non drying but I still prefer to top it off with a colorless lip balm for added moisture. Lasting power is pretty good topping in at about 5- 6 hours and fading evenly without leaving a ring around your lips. Perhaps the best part about this product is you get a decent performance and quality for the price which is very reasonable.

Just a regular, run of the mill gloss

I love lip glosses so I'm always trying out different ones. This gloss isn't even good enough to be one. Not enough color pay-off, slightly on the tacky side and disappeared off of my lips rather quickly. The only thing nice about it is how it looked in the tube. The gloss has the feel, consistency and performance of much cheaper, drugstore glosses...at best. In fact, my Neutrogena Moisture Shine Gloss had even more color, was much less sticky and lasted slightly longer for almost half the price. For what it is, it should only be worth about $5 but you're obviously paying for the name with this one.

    ModelCo Lip Lights

One of the best lip glosses out there

I have this in Summer Nectar and Coral, both very flattering for my skin tone. The gloss has a semi-sheer finish but very good color pay-off. The color can also be built upon without feeling tacky. Has a high shine factor and I simply love it's creamy, non sticky consistency. The applicator it comes with is great, making application precise. I also like the packaging with its built in mirror and lights for convenience. Of all the lip glosses I tried, this has one of the best lasting power. I would've given it 10 stars if not for the price. It's very expensive for a mere lip gloss.

Smashbox Beyond Beauty Fusion Eye & Cheek Palettes

Takes the guess work out of choosing your colors

There's a "warm" and a "cool" pallete so it's a no brainer. I have the warm for my yellow undertones and it gives me a natural put together look without looking overdone. The product has a nice consistency and blendability is easy. Great for days when I don't have much time and can't be bothered to figure out what makeup to wear with what outfit. It is quite expensive so if I had one complaint, that would be it.

  • Guerlain 'Divinora' Eye Liner
    2.0

    Guerlain 'Divinora' Eye Liner

Not worth the $32 price tag in my opinion

My MAC Fluidline performed much better than this for half the price and it didn't flake off in little patches by the end of the day like this one did. Also the Fluidline lasted all day and into the night. For some reason, I just can't get the hang of the brush applicator that comes with this. I find it to not be as precise as a dedicated liquid liner brush but then again, maybe it's just me. Even though Guerlain is a high end brand, it doesn't mean I "have" to pay a high price for a product that has mediocre performance just because of the name.

    MAC 217 Blending Brush

    Can't live without this brush

One of the best, if not THE best brush for blending eye shadows. Makes blending a breeze even if you're new to eye shadows. It was my first blending brush and I had acquired a couple more thereafter. Yes it's expensive but the brush last a long time and holds it shape, even after many, many uses and cleaning.
