    NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Cake Powder

Not an exact dupe for Anastasia brow powder.....

Everything about this powder including the wax is amazing for the price. I like how the wax is thick and still holds my brows in place but not slick and greasy so my brows look shiny. At first I got this in the color Dark Brunette since I have dark brown hair and would think the color would match me but it has a reddish undertone so I swapped it out for the color Taupe/Ash which is a little bit better but not as pigmented as I would like. Don't get me wrong. The powder is pigmented enough to make my brows look natural and with the wax on top, it stays even better. Blends like a dream and so easy to use! The only thing I noticed about this product is that it doesn't last all day like my Anastasia brow powder. I can get at least a two hour wear of this before the color and wax starts to fade and my brows strays all over the place. Also the powder can apply pretty patchy and not as smooth as I would like.

  • bareMinerals Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliner

When I first used this, the product was really hard and I couldn't get any product on without it tugging on my lid. Now that I've used this for a couple of weeks, I think this eyeliner has become softer because of the warmth of my home. This goes on smooth but not as pigmented as I would like it. It still tugs a little bit but it's easy to build. I swatched it on my hand and water alone does not remove it. I used soap and water and finally I could get this off so it's not as waterproof as other eyeliners I have tried where only an oil-based remover will remove it but in a way, it's a good thing if you struggle with taking eyeliner off. On the hand, it performs well but on the eyes it will fade after a little while. This is not a good eyeliner for the waterline. Barely shows up at all. Love how it's retractable and comes with a smudger and a sharpener at the end. And so happy I got this for free from Ulta but I would not pay for this. I've had better cheaper alternatives for eyeliners out there.

    Ardell InvisBands Demi Wispies

Don't know why I didn't like these in the beginning....

For some reason when I first used these I didn't like them because they seem to droop in the center so my eyes didn't look as lifted as I would have liked. Now that I've used them numerous of times I absolutely love these and find myself reaching for these often. Now I see why so many people rave about these. I did not have to trim these at all! They were the perfect length which is really rare to find for me. I love the invisband because it really helps to camouflage my real lashes making them look so natural but adds that touch of glam without looking like I'm trying way too hard. I like how it doesn't have a sheen like some too plastic looking lashes. They look so natural but not too natural to the point where I can't see a difference. These lashes are perfect for beginners. The band is so thin but not fragile. It's not completely sturdy either but for the price I'm not complaining. I've gotten a good 10 uses out of this before I had to replace it. Absolutely love how these look with my every day look. Very versatile for no makeup makeup days or full on glam smoky looks.

    Ardell Natural Lashes

    Can't tell a difference....

In the packaging it looks promising but as soon as I put these on, there is no difference whatsoever. Looks way too natural or just like my real lashes. Why would I want that? I know these are called natural but I was expecting something at least. These fell short of my expectations and I had to return them. Only good thing about these is that Ardell never disappoints when it comes to their lash band. Love how thin it is and super easy to apply.

  • Kat von D Shade + Light Sculpting Palette

Kat von D Shade + Light Sculpting Palette

    Had pretty high hopes....

When I finally received a $15 off discount from Sephora after 8 years of being a beauty member, I decided to splurge on this. Mainly because EVERYONE on YouTube raves about this baby. I like having the versatility of the colors which really works well for fair to dark skin tones. The contour shade on the bottom left is really cool tone to create the right shadow for fair ladies. The middle contour shade is good to create a bronze effect since it's more warmer tone. The peach highlight is good for darker skin women (but I cannot utilize it because I cannot pull it off on my NC25 skin tone without looking orange) and the darkest contour color in the palette is good for darker skin as well. The only thing I absolutely love is the banana shade. It highlights well without looking too made up. I like how this contour palette didn't have a lot of fallout but still had decent pigmentation. I was expecting this palette to be really intense like everyone mentioned but it was sort of lackluster in that department especially compared to my Lorac contour palette. Even if I tap my brush in here, I didn't really get much color on my brush. I must have gotten a dud or something or maybe it just didn't sit well on my skin. I didn't find this to be that blendable. Every time I tried to blend this out or build it up, it looks super splotchy on my face. I gave this so many tries, hoping to love it as much as everyone else but the end results always leave me disappointed and splotchy. Definitely do not feel beautiful wearing this.

    Ardell Brow Pomade

    Stays on really long but...

This product dries out so easily. I got this in the color Blonde which is perfect for my dark brown hair but the color is more taupe than suited for blonde hair. When I first used this, the product was creamy and lasted super long like it's waterproof. However after five uses of this, it dried and crumbled so bad every time I tried to use it. The brush that this comes with is useless. The spoolie is alright. It's not super stiff like other spoolies I've used but it gets the job done. The angle liner brush on the other side is really plasticky and wide so it's not really good to create that sharp tail. Such a disappointment of a product if it dries out before I could use it to its full potential.

  • Too Faced Snow Bunny Luminous Bronzer

Too Faced Snow Bunny Luminous Bronzer

    More of a highlighter....

At first when I used this I didn't see much of a difference and it is definitely not a bronzer unless you're super super fair this might show up a little brown. If you can see from the pan, there's only one brown color verses three highlight shades (white, pink, and champagne) to be called a bronzer. I would say this is more of a highlighter. I wouldn't use this as a bronzer because it is way more lighter than the Beach Bunny bronzer unless you like a lighter bronzing effect. To me, it's just not my preference. If I was to bronze up my face I would prefer it to show up on my skin instead of just looking like a golden shimmer which is exactly what this is. I like how this doesn't have a lot of fallout and when I first used this, I didn't think it had a lot of pigmentation. Now that I've been using it off and on I can tell the difference. I love how this is so buildable on my cheekbones as a highlighter. I can go subtle or extreme highlighting with this. It's not glittery but very shimmery and really gives my cheeks a realistic glow. The individual colors makes it easy for me to choose which color I want to place on my cupid's bow. I've tried using this as an eyeshadow but all the colors just looks the same.

  • Benefit The Porefessional Face Primer

I got a free sample of this from Ulta with my Benefit purchase. I've always wanted to try this since so many people rave about it but didn't want to pay the full price for this. My skin feels so smooth with this on. It does kinda blur out my large pores but I can't really tell compared to all the other reviews. Only use this on your problem areas and pat it into your skin, not smear it all over your face. It works better this way. I love how this doesn't dry out like some primers. It's not too thick or too watery and when it dries, it dries to a powdery silky perfection. This did feel a little silicone-y on me so it kind of made my makeup slip and slide all over my face since I have oily skin. This was a decent product but didn't blow me away to the point where I would pay for this after my trial size is empty.

  • Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer

    Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer

    Smells delicious....

It's a good thing I got this for 45% off at Ulta with my employee discount. I absolutely love the smell of this and so does my sister and aunts who tried this from me. It reminds me of the Fresh lip balms from Sephora which smells amazing like candy fruity deliciousness that I can't quite describe what it is. I was a little worried that since this primer comes in a jar, it might dry out on me like most primers that comes in a jar would for me. I'm pleasantly surprised it has not dried out at all. It goes on so smooth and creamy and really blurs my pores and fill in my fine lines. I tried it on half of my face and can tell the difference right away. A lot of people commented that this made their makeup cakey which I didn't find too bad on my oily skin. It's not meant to be a mattifying primer but it isn't too crazy hydrating either. I lasted a good five hours with this on before getting oily which isn't too bad. I can see why people reviewed this as being heavy. It can feel a little bit heavy since it is a thicker primer but it wasn't too bad on me. I always look forward to using this because the scent of this makes me so happy for some reason.

  • Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup

On Ulta's website everyone seems to love this. My coworker said that this didn't work for her because it applied too greasy which I did not find this to be the case for me. It has a matte finish when I applied this but once it sets, it turns into a satin finish. I don't like the coverage on this. It has really light coverage and I didn't find this to be buildable. I can get this to provide a medium coverage at the most with three layers on. I like how this feels really light. It has a really watery consistency so be sure to shake, shake, shake. The packaging is sturdy but I don't like how the color is not accurate to what's in the bottle. I had to switch the color after I got it in too light of a color which was the color 2. There was an Asian lady featured under the color so I assume that that was my shade since I'm also Asian. I do not know any Asian lady that is that white. That color is more suited towards a Caucasian woman. A lot of people find that they like the shade range on this. I highly disagree on this. Although on the website it looks like there's a lot of shades to choose from, there's really not. The colors are either too light, too dark, too pink, or too yellow. I hate that. This is not the foundation for neutral skin tones if you're wanting a perfect match (unless UD comes out with more shades). I wanted the color 3 point 5 (since TB won't let me post the exact shade name) but it was suited towards cool tones which I'm not. The next color up was 4 which is for more yellow to olive skin tone but I ended up buying this color since it was close enough. It's still a tad too dark but I can make it work. Now you can see why I struggle with finding the perfect match. This foundation does last pretty good throughout the day but it doesn't really do much for my skin and make me look flawless and natural. I just don't like how it sits on my skin for some reason. It's almost like having nothing on and why would I want that when I'm trying to achieve perfect skin with foundation....
