    Simple Oil Balancing Cleansing Wipes

Not a big fan of wipes.....

I've never been a big fan of wipes since I heard that they're actually bad for your skin. You can't just expect to use these and not wash your face afterwards. It doesn't work like that but a lot of "lazy" people tend to do that. Water and cleanser alone will help to unclog those pores so don't rely solely on cleansing wipes to do the job. I decided to try these out since they were buy one get one half off at Ulta so I bought these alongside the Simple Micellar Water that everyone raves so much about. I love Simple products because they're not irritating to my skin. However, this did a poor job of removing makeup. Especially my eye makeup. The cloth on this is also very dry and not as wet as I would like it to be. It's not as soft either so I feel like it rubs my skin too hard. As for the "oil balancing" part Simple claims, I see little difference for my oily skin. I like how I don't get a sticky feeling after using this and my skin doesn't feel overly drying. My face feels refresh but don't expect these to be a "makeup removing" necessity. Only use this for a pick-me-up if your face feels kind of greasy and dirty throughout part of the day.

  • Almay Color + Care Liquid Lip Balm
    7.0

Almay Color + Care Liquid Lip Balm

    Great sheer wash of color....

This liquid lip balm is perfect for you if you want a very sheer color without the stickiness. It applies really smooth and I love the fruity scent and taste. However, I didn't love this as much as other people did. I just didn't reach for it often because it didn't blow me out of the water and left very little impression on me. I like how it doesn't look chalky or patchy on the lips like the Ulta liquid butter balms. This didn't really last long though. It kind of feels like oil on the lips and doesn't have that cushiony texture I like so much.

    Physicians Formula Eye Booster

    Love the applicator!!!

Unlike other liners I have tried, the tip on this is comparable to the Lorac liner which has a brush tip that doesn't fray. It's not a felt tip and at first I found this difficult to use because I'm so used to felt tips. However, the good thing about this tip is that it doesn't dry out as I'm applying this compared to felt tip liners that tends to dry out. This is wonderful for the perfect winged liner. This product doesn't smudge or budge and has really great lasting power. I got this in the brown color and next time I will definitely try the black color. I love how easy the product comes out and flows freely without me having to struggle for the product to come out. It does fade throughout the day but this eyeliner is perfect. I use it often. Will be great for beginners because it's so easy to control.

  • Physicians Formula Nude Wear Touch of Glow Foundation

During Ulta's 40% off on Almay, Revlon, and PF I decided to try this out since it had high reviews on Ulta website. Normally I hate Physicians Formula especially their pressed powders like bronzers, blushes (even though they're mostly known for that) but since this was a foundation and I've never tried PF foundations before besides their CC cream I was hoping this would change my bias on this brand. I was extremely surprised I actually like this. I have oily skin and since the name calls this a "Touch of Glow" foundation I was hesitant it would make me look shiny or have glitter in it like some other PF products but amazingly it didn't. The brush that comes with this is super small and wouldn't serve any purpose of blending this out. You really need to shake the crap out of this because when I pumped the product out, light and dark pigments are not well mixed yet. I find that this foundation works better with a brush than my Real Techniques sponge. It provides more coverage and blends more easily. I don't like how this comes in a glass bottle that makes it hard to see the color inside. It's one of those glass bottles that's what do you call it? Muted or something? I was debating in the store for thirty minutes if I wanted the Light color or the Light/Medium color since I'm more of a NC25 skin tone. I couldn't make up my mind so I just decided to grab the Light color. For a foundation, the color range really sucks. They only have two colors! And they're more pink toned than yellow toned! I find this more to be a BB cream type of deal. The Light color I got was kind of light for my skin but after an hour or so it adjusted to my skin tone like a BB cream. PF claims that with one drop of this it evens out skin tone, illuminating and brightening at the same time. I disagree that "one drop" would get the job done. One pump doesn't even cover my entire face. I need at least two pumps of this product. It's not too watery or too thick so it would be hard to get one drop out of this. By the way, I love how this comes with a pump. The super cute bow cap is super annoying though because it doesn't ever want to stay on. This provides a light to medium coverage. I love how this feels so light on my skin and not at all heavy. It also dries down but not in a powder form. More like it just dries down and feels like real skin. Love how my face looks so much brighter with this on. By the end of the day it doesn't get blotchy or sink into all my pores like what foundations tend to do on me. I actually really like this and PF has changed my bias towards them finally.

  • CARGO Blush

    CARGO Blush

Love how I can open this once and for all....

I got the bronzer that was packaged exactly the same way as this and I could not get that darn thing to open at all. I was afraid I would have the same issue with this as well but not at all. I can easily open this. Yay!!! I love the color of this and I like how it's not super opaque on one application so I can easily build it up to my liking. This blends beautifully and looks so natural on. I like how it's not super powdery and the tin is super huge so I can get my flufflier brushes inside. It's not as long lasting as Cargo claims it to be but hey, I got it for half off at Ulta for 13 bucks so I'm not complaining.

  • Real Techniques Sculpting Brush

    Real Techniques Sculpting Brush

    Multitasking brush....

I use this brush mostly for my foundation because it's densely packed. This is super soft and blends beautifully. I also use this for contouring occasionally. It gives that sharp contour look without looking too sharp. Like with all Real Techniques brushes I don't like the bulkiness of this. If I could switch the bristles on this to a shorter less bulky handle, I would totally give this a 10.

  • Real Techniques Blush Brush

I've always heard great things about Real Techniques but after seeing how bulky their brushes are I just wasn't as big a fan. First off, the handle is too long and the wide brush takes up soooo much space in my brush cup. Love how super soft this is and it blends nicely but I would like for Real Techniques to fix their design flaw. Great quality brushes but not a fan of the design.

  • Too Faced Amazing Face Liquid Foundation

Love the yellow-based in this so I can mix it with my other foundations that are a little too neutral toned. I was fortunate enough to get this for only $15 on Too Faced website when they were having their 80% off sale. This provides a medium to heavy coverage and feels really light on the skin. It gives a subtle glowy finish but not too matte either. Applies beautifully with either a sponge or a brush. I love how it's super easy to blend. Would love this if it had a pump. It is a little watery but still has some thickness to it which doesn't just pour out of the bottle if tilted slightly. It lasts fairly long but can fade throughout the day especially around the nose where it is oilier.

  • St. Ives Naturally Clear Blemish & Blackhead Control Apricot Scrub

All St. Ives products (that I've tried and I have tried a lot) makes me break out like crazy! In my teen years, I suffered a lot from acne and I wanted to try every kind of face wash or scrub that could possibly help especially when the name says anything about acne or blackheads. I was drawn to this name because it's supposed to "clear blemish." NOT! I broke out even more and this scrub was so abrasive that my skin was red by the time I washed this off. The scrub in here is not like those kinds of scrubs that "melts" away as you cleanse. I believe it's crushed apricot seeds. Now I don't consider my skin to be sensitive at all but this was just too harsh on my skin and that's probably what led to more acne on my face.

  • butter LONDON LIPPY Tinted Lip Balm

butter LONDON LIPPY Tinted Lip Balm

    Don't reach for this often....

I don't think this is a tinted lip balm at all. I think it's more of a lipstick since it has more color than just a tint. I got this in the color Toasted Marshmallow and Nutter which is literally the same color! I can't even tell the difference at all except maybe Nutter isn't as pigmented as Toasted Marshmallow. These two colors are a dupe to Rimmel's Nude Delight shade but just a tad browner. At first when I tried this, I love the consistency of this and the packaging can be a little heavy but it's sturdy. It's super moisturizing and very cushiony on the lips. Feels really comfortable. But now that I've used it for almost a week, my impressions aren't the same anymore. I found that the formula was a harder formula and not as moisturizing anymore. Because it doesn't have a lot of slip it can last a good 2 hours. Try to get these lipsticks on sale at Ulta which I've seen them have these on sale TWICE this year already. I wouldn't pay full price for this but love that I got it for only 10 bucks.
