My hair slurps up conditioner like Joe Six-Pack on a drinking binge. The harsh combo of dry Arizona desert air, hard water and my pursuit of the perfect shade of blond has left my tresses starving for moisture. But I've got a new ally in my battle against dry, brittle hair. Aveda has unleashed this conditioner as part of their new Dry Remedy trio. After just one use of both the shampoo and the conditioner, the product delivered on its promise to instantly improve the shine and suppleness of my cranky hair without weighing it down. Apparently, the secret to Aveda's super moisturizing formula is a high-performance blend of buriti oil, pomegranate and palm-derived conditioners. And as you would expect from Aveda, the luxurious formula leaves your hair laced with an exotic, uplifting scent that comes from certified organic essential oils such as ylang ylang, rose geranium and vanilla. To top it off, the collection come in tubes that are made with post-consumer recycled materials and is manufactured with 100% wind power. Can't beat that!

A rich, creamy formula with gentle sudsing action, this shampoo used in conjunction with the Dry Remedy Conditioner and Masque made my normally dry hair soft, shiny and happy.

This mask (uh, sorry, masque!) is a weekly must for dry, brittle hair. Plus, it smells amazing. The formula is thick, rich and left my hair super soft and shiny after use. Works well in conjunction with the Dry Remedy Shampoo and Conditioner or with other haircare products. Gotta love too that Aveda is using wind power to manufacturer their products.

The upside: Lotion glides easily on skin and I can skip layering on moisturizer followed by sunscreen because it contains both. The downside: Wish it came in an oil-free formulation for acne-prone skin but with drier fall weather around the corner, I can use it during the less sweaty months. Overall: I'm all for a 3-in-1 product that maximizes its effectiveness and your time. It seems pricey at first at $58 a bottle but not if you factor in the tripe duty. I also like the light scent and the fact that it's backed by a reputable brand name. I'll finish the bottle and see if it keeps its promise to reduce brown spots -- as of yet, haven't seen a significant reduction but only been using it for two weeks.

Surprisingly foolproof to apply and my nails could easily pass for salon quality! I like the short natural look. I feel pretty!

Frothy, fun and super fast-acting, the new Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask from Bliss is a facial pick-me-up treatment that captures bliss in a bottle. The rich, pearly formula has an intoxicating, orange popsicle fragrance and is packed Vitamin C, liquid O2, free-radical resisters and slew of other patented nourishing ingredients. After cleansing, I applied a generous amount of the sherbet-colored mask to my face and neck. In no time, the mask worked itself up into a white froth that gave off a bubbly tingle. Per the packaging instructions, I rinsed the foam off after just 5 minutes and followed it with my daily moisturizer and sunscreen. The afterglow was outstanding plus my face felt super clean and reinvigorated. It's a luxury purchase at $52 bucks a bottle but think of it as a reward for all you do (if you're anything like me, you're worth it)!

On the advice of a very glowing-skinned Philosophy sales associate, I switched from When Hope is Not Enough to Booster Serum about a month ago and as I live and breath, this stuff works! It's lightweight enough not give my skin an oily look when I top it off with my daily sunscreen. And now that I know that it won't make me break out (praise the Lord), I plan to kick it up a notch with Philosophy's nightly retinol capsules. My only criticism might be the fragrance, which is quite heavenly, but I like to avoid fragrances wherever possible. But heck, it probably stinks without the added fragrance so I best not complain.

I hate to be a party pooper but gross! The beauty shelves are filled with natural, non-gross alternatives to Vaseline, which is essentially a by-product of the petroleum industry. In fact, Alba has a product called Un-Petroleum Jelly made from plant extracts and natural oils. A couple others to consider before you go dipping into that gunk: Problem Solved 20-in-1 Wonder Balm from Bliss, Yu-Be cream or Noah's Naturals Hand Salve.

L'Oreal Paris Ideal Skin Genesis Daily Moisturizer SPF 15 Lotion
Great Everyday Moisturizer for Oily Skin
I used this in conjunction with the Skin Genesis Daily Treatment Serum Concentrate and noticed a new brightness to my skin. It's light, fast-absorbing and has a subtle scent. I think I'll opt for the SPF version after I use this one up just to save a step in the morning but overall, great product and I would recommend it.

I used this product for about two months in conjunction with the Skin Genesis Daily Oil-Free Moisturizer. I felt that it delivered on its promise to give me a smoother, brighter complexion. You don't need much so the $19 price point is manageable too. I'd give it a thumbs up.
