I have brown eyes with a little hazel, so I thought I would give this a shot. When I was done applying the different shades as the instructions in the box indicated, my eyes looked like the picture on the box. I thought, "This is the first time I've ever looked like the beauty picture - amazing!' I think the secret behind this product is that they match the colors really well and they are 'rich' colors without being too bright for the natural look. The brushes are good quality as well. Tip: After you try this product, go to a Bare Escentuals store to get color matched. Although this set worked with my eyes, the colors they picked specifically for me work great with my skin tone.

This is a great way to get started with mineral makeup. Watch the DVD that comes with it, even if it seems like a cheesy thing to do - you will pick up some good tips. You can vary coverage from light to thick, depeding on your application. I used to use neutrogena liquid foundation, and various powder blushes, etc. I will never go back to liquid. This stuff is great. Keep in mind, after getting used to the starter kit, try out other things. If there is a BE store near you, get color recommendations for blush and eye shadow. It makes a huge difference. Finally - if there is an ulta near you - they've been having big BE sales for the past few months now.

I first tried this with a couple samplers from a beauty consultant. So this review doesn't reflect me 'wanting' to like the product to convince myself it was worth the $100+ dollars. I used the sample on night 1, and woke up the next morning, absolutely amazed at how my skin FELT. Let me say that again - AMAZED. I wanted to run around and tell everyone. It was moisturized, but not oily. It was similar to what you imagine a child's skin would feel like. I have never had a lotion make my face feel so GREAT! And I've tried a huge range of products (aveeno, burt's bees, mary kay, oil of olay, and more). After finishing the samples 4 days later, I bought the full product, and I've been hooked for 6 months now. There is one downfall: I use just a small dab each day. So when it gets to winter and dry-skin season hits, I would have to use much larger 'dabs' to keep my skin soft. At this price, I don't know if I want to do that! Keep that in mind when purchasing - you might want to pair it / alternate it with a less expensive favorite lotion. As for anti-aging: I can't speak to that. I'm 27, and use this because it's great on my skin.

I use this to add a nice shine. It combs in well and leaves hair soft. However, it doesn't stop frizzies very well.

This actually feels like you are exfoliating. The ingredient they use to add the 'sand' feel is just perfect. It smells great too, but dries my skin out just a little bit.

I got the smaller version of this in one of the facial sample kits. It's incredibly thick - it feels like soft butter mixed with soft wax. But, I braved past that to try it for a few days. It made my skin feel...different.. in the morning. Not sure if it was good or bad. But, it made my skin break out. I think it clogged a lot of pores, although it claims it won't. In hindsight, I don't know how something so thick can be good on your face.

This scrub doesn't have a ton of exfoliating bits in it, but enough to be noticable. It leaves your face feeling moisturized and a little firmer. The firmeness feels like that left from a facial masque, not from an alcohol product. This scrub isn't fancy, but it does the job.

Smells like a salon conditioner (which I like). It actually conditions your hair, and leaves it slightly shinier. It's not like 'BAM I have shine!' It's a nice conditioner, and I recommend it over any 'regular' brand like fructis, suave, panteen and such. I can't compare it to expensive conditioners, as I haven't tried any.

This lipstick is the 'just right' lipstick on all accounts. Not too shiney, not too matte. Not too sticky, not too thin. Good consistency. Good color choices.
