No, this is not a high-end primer. Yes, this is a 10 (considering it's $5). I took before and after photos when I tried this product to really see if there was a noticeable difference. The product glides on and leaves a silky/powdery finish. What I was most impressed with, however, was the reduction in redness. I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and in 10 seconds, there was a dramatic change. My skin was still far from perfect and I still needed to wear foundation, but if you have good skin, you could use this and skip foundation. I was impressed. I haven't had problems with breaking out from this product (not anymore than usual). I definitely was able to use less foundation, partially because my skin was not as red or blotchy after using it, partially because it helped my foundation spread over my skin so well. There are definitely better, higher-end products out there, but this is a great, low-investment buy -- especially if you tend to skip primer.

I purchased this particular scrub because it promises to rid your face of developing and future acne, while also fading past acne scars. Past, present, and future acne vanquished? I couldn't resist. It has done a wonderful job of clearing my skin over the past several weeks. Sometimes my skins feels a bit too dry, but I simply twice that day. It does a good job of keeping oil at bay without making my skin too dry or flaky. Of course, adjust your moisturizing routine accordingly for your skin. It boasts that the microscrubbing beads and soy ingredients will make past acne scars fade. After about a month, I don't notice any change, but I'm hoping that if I stick with it, I'll start to see results. If I find in the future that years of blemishes no longer leave their mark on me, I'll definitely update with a perfect ten. But so far, no product has worked that wonder.

I received this in Protecting Powder. It claima it leaves no white marks and will last for 48 hours (!!). Well, I'm definitely free of white marks, even if I apply first and get dressed second. I love that because I recently had a day where I sported white streaks all over the sides of my shirt for eight hours at work without noticing. As some reviewers have pointed out, though, nowhite marks is typical for any gel deo. As far as lasting 48 hours, that's just marketing. I don't smell bad at the end of the day, but the powder scent is definitely gone. And unfortunately, on one particularly hot day, I found myself sweating a lot under my arms... apparently it doesn't do much to keep you dry. If anything, it's convinced me to switch back to gel deo, even if it's not this one.

I'm kind of shocked to see the negative reviews. It's definitely just another lip balm, but it applies smoothly and has a really pleasant mint scent. It feels silky and light on lips, not thick or gummy. The scent is very reminiscent of Burt's Bees in my opinion. Like many other reviewers, I got this as a freebie attached to the Neutrogena Naturals Scrub. Not bad for free. UPDATE: Just checked this out at Target and it sells for about $3. I still really like it as a balm, but I can definitely agree that it's a little overpriced. However, if having a more natural product is one of your top priorities, it's a nice alternative to Burt's Bees.

I'm normally more of a lip balm girl, but I've been looking to find some great glosses. So far, I've picked up this product in Sweet Glaze -- basically a clear coat but with a little pink in it. It's a very subtle color, it just enhances my lips, but doesn't leave them looking unnaturally pink. It's got a great shine and it's not too sticky as far as glosses go. I'm thinking about picking up a few of their other colors, but I wasn't sure how natural they would look (they all have a bit of shimmer/glitter in them). I wanted to go for more of a nude lip look. Also, the smell is really pleasant -- kind of like vanilla icing, but not overwhelming at all, just subtle and light.

I was already a fan of the Neutrogena Naturals line when I purchased this scrub. It is a complete game-changer for me. My acne has really cleared up since trying the Neutrogena Naturals line, but I was still using a regular Neutrogena face scrub. Switching to this product has made so much of difference in my skin. The product is a little runny (the only complaint I have about it). It's exfoliating, but also incredibly gentle. The Jojoba beads are very small. I feel like I'm buffing or polishing my skin more than scrubbing. From the very first time I used it, my skin felt more smooth. In just a week and a half, I've seen more clear, even-toned skin. Normally I would use a face scub every other day so that I was giving my skin a break without irritating it too much. So far, I've had no problems using this product daily (I like to use it every morning). I'm so grateful for this line. My skin has been very acne-prone and sensitive, but has been really calming down since switching to Neutrogena Naturals.

I have thick hair, but I still wanted more volume, so I tried this product (as well as the shampoo). At first it really cleaned my hair well and for the first few days I liked it. However, the shampoo is just too harsh for normal use and the conditioner is very light. The idea is that with a light conditioner you won't weigh your hair down and you'll have more volume. Unfortunately for me, the shampoo really started to dry my hair out much more than the conditioner could moisturize. It's a great light conditioner, but was way too light for my hair. By the end of the week, my hair was feeling drier and frizzier (frizz has never been a problem for me). I finally had to switch shampoo and conditioner without finishing the bottle. But, if you have fine hair, this might be a great product, plus the smell and price are both amazing.

The idea behind this shampoo is that if your hair is less weighed down, it will have more volume. When I first tried this product, I loved it. It smells amazing and left my hair clean. Really clean. So clean I felt like I didn't need to shampoo every day. I guess I felt I had a little more volume and bounce to my hair. But unfortunately, it didn't work for me as a regular cleanser. It's more like a clarifying shampoo -- very good at removing build-up, but just too harsh for everyday use. After two weeks of using it, my hair was so dried out I had to switch back to Dove. I've kept the rest of it though, because it's great for days when I have a lot of product I need to clean out.

This powder is my new go-to product. I use Revlon Colorstay foundation (try it, you'll love it), but I've been switching up powders. Even though I've finally found a foundation that matches my skin tone, I've been less successful with powders. I always feel like they wash me out or make me look too dark. I tried out this powder because it was translucent. Basically, the powder doesn't add a lot of color to your foundation or make-up, it just makes it beautifully matte. For this price ($3), everyone should have this. It leaves my skin looking way more natural and even toned than other, more expensive powders that just weren't exactly the right color. I love how simple and affordable ELF makes their products. I also love the packaging. It's a sleek and substantial compact that doesn't feel or look cheap at all. I was honestly surprised at how heavy (in a good way) it was. This product is better quality in my opinion (packaging + performance) than many more expensive powders. The mirror inside the compact is really handy and I love the sponge applicator. Even if you use another powder, this one is so handy for touch-ups throughout the day. You just can't beat the price.

I tried this product last year when my schedule was really hectic. I thought dry shampoo would be a great way to save time and give my hair a boost on days when I wasn't washing (of course, dry shampoo does exactly that, just not this product). Tresemme did a great job marketing this, so I thought the product would be great as well. It's awful. Not only does it not cleanse hair, it leaves it more weighed down and deposits residue on your locks. Instead of being an oil-absorbing powder (like most dry shampoos) it's a foam that does nothing. It feels like you've just applied mouse and you're left with oily, gunky hair. I have no idea why they developed the Fresh Start line and released it when it is such an obvious fail. I ended up needing to wash this product out of my hair the few times I used it (I gave it multiple tries, each time assuming I must be doing something wrong). Save your money and invest in a better product. Such a waste.
