  • Maybelline New York Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner

I love how deep the black is in this formula. There could be a challenge to applying if you do not have a steady hand. My trick is to actually tap the tip horizontally so the side surface area touches where I want it to go rather than using it like a brush or a pen. It helps me stabilize my application to get a precise wing. If you have really oily eyelids like I do some parts of the month, this can smudge. Also, I don't find this to be the best with sensitive eyes. I'm not highly impressed but it is kept around in my cosmetic drawer for a quick grab when I am running out the door. It isn't my most reliable eyeliner.

    NYX HD Photogenic Concealer Wand

    Limited Range of Color

This is a very creamy concealer and I feel that it works well for undereye circles. My gripe is that the shades are very limited. As far as staying power goes, it actually does the job really well. I went to a concert (in cold weather in a humid area) and home after six hours, everything was still pretty much in place. I like that it does not settle like thicker concealers but I would have to warn that this also does not prevent imperfections from completely being obliterated from the eye. It is medium coverage at best and ideally set with a translucent or yellow based powder for the most flattering effect.

  • NYX Cosmetics Extra Creamy Round Lipstick

My most favorite shades of lipstick come from this particular line from Tea Rose, Doll, Thalia, and a couple others that I have kept with me to complete different looks. They look good on different skin tones. The color payoff and texture is impressive. However, the lasting power left me longing for more. This is very transferable but the pros definitely outweigh cons. I get a lot of compliments on my lipstick shades whenever I wear NYX's. Secret tip: The bottom indicator of lipstick shade is actually a compartment of even more lipstick once you run out.

  • NYX Cosmetics Powder Blush

I am impressed with their selection of shades as they have a range from cool to warmer blushes. Some of them are definitely versatile to use as bronzers. The pigments are deep so you get great quality for a low price. I wear my NYX blushes to work and see that during mid day, the color payoff is still good. After eight hours, my oily skin makes makeup upkeep challenging but the blush, while now dewy, is still quite apparent. The only star I have left off is because of the packaging. I definitely would like something a bit sturdier as when they have been in my makeup bag being mixed around the other things, the clear part of the lid has separated from the lid closure in a couple of my blushes.

  • Freeman Feeling Beautiful Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask

I feel that for a product to receive all its stars, it must really work well consistently. This is a warming scrub when you exfoliate your face and can be left on as a mask. I felt a lot of impurities disappear as my skin did feel like a baby's afterward. I just have to warn that because these are sugar granules to exercise caution with buffing too hard otherwise you may experience redness. Otherwise, I feel this does a lot for your skin, especially for the mass market price point. In fact, every once in a while, I use this all over my body because the grains do not dissolve rapidly like some other scrubs I've tried.

  • E.L.F. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder

This has a very attractive price and you get a lot of product for it. So is it a great value? Absolutely. I love the pink blush and bronzer combination. It reminds me of NARS. The packaging feels sleek and you get a generous sized mirror. Now, as far as pigment goes, I have a golden tone. I find that the color payoff is not terrible, but on my skintone, it just gives it a slight flush. The bronzer is very natural looking so they did well with the pigment. Some of the ones on the market are too cool toned so they end up looking very noticeable. This blends well into my skin. My only gripe is that two weeks post starting to use this, I can tell I started breaking out in areas where I applied it. Nothing had changed but this in my product routine since then so I feel this was the culprit. If you don't have super sensitive skin like I do, this may be a wonder product for you.

  • Sonia Kashuk Kashuk Tools Dense Blush/Powder Brush

It's worth giving as a gift. It's worth keeping to yourself. It's worth it, yes. I feel this performs better than some of my higher end brushes, The bristles are dense but it is super soft. I have hardly experienced any shedding. It applies liquids and powders beautifully. The only thing I would change about this is offering a larger size of the same bristle composition.

    Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush

    Eh, Maybe Next Time, Sonia.

The shades are very limited however none of them seemed over the top so they are very wearable. What I like most about it is sheer application. Opaque blush application is never gorgeous, I think. No one would want to look like a clown unless it was intentional so this would be a good choice for great sheer but blendable cheek color or contouring. An issue though I'd have to state is that it's not long lasting; I found the color will fade or somehow the blush blends right into makeup to the point where it is hardly existent. So much for the money spent on that. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent blush and it has right to get a good rating but it isn't the best out there. The packaging is sleek and also subtle; I hate packaging that has names slapped and stamped all over the place so that was a plus for me. Then the amount of product was quite impressive for the price paid for this as well as what it looks like when freshly applied. Several hours later when the rest of my makeup still looks all right, this one has left the building. Period.

  • CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation

If you are looking for a good drugstore foundation to mimic a luxury brand's performance, this works quite well. This has a semi matte finish that works at best as a medium coverage product. Any additional applications will definitely feel thick. I feel like the consistency reminds me of MAC's but slightly sheerer. It definitely does not have the scent of the Studio Fix (which actually is slightly bothersome). The lasting power gave me approximately six hours before I felt like it was not as true as when I first applied it. It works quite well with my oily skin. The color range is not amazing, but definitely much better than other drugstore product lines. Those with olive to yellow undertones will benefit more from this particular selection. I usually find that one pump and a half will do the trick and works best with a dense brush since the formula is on the heavier side.

  • CoverGirl TruBlend FixStick Concealer

This was a neat concept but it was lackluster. The product was thick and dry rather than creamy. This can be fixed by running the product on the back of your hand a few times to soften the stick. However, this method definitely creates some waste. It is a full coverage concealer but I found it very difficult to blend. This is best after moisturizer to make the formula creamier and less evident, more like skin than makeup pigment. It will settle into fine lines and if your skin tends to be dry, you will find that it will accentuate those areas if you do not hydrate well. The color selection is not too bad but they certainly are still more on the neutral to cool side.
