  • Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Soft Shimmer

The shimmers have a better selection of colors than a lot of the other Clinique shadows. They go on smoothly and are long-lasting but my usual gripe about Clinique is that you don't get much color saturation for the price. Still the applicators that come with are really good and they don't irritate my eyes. They are also highly blendable. Definitely worth a try but not my fave shimmery eye shadow.

  • Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Velvet

Like other reviewers I find the lack of color options very disappointing in this line. And like all Clinique shadows I find the color saturation is only average. The positives is that they go on evenly, last long with the use of a primer and are non-irritating. I also like the velvets because I can also use them as an eyeliner with my eyeliner brush. However, since it is only average I generally don't pay for them and just enjoy them if they come as a bonus with my other purchases.

  • Clinique All About Shadow Quad

    Clinique All About Shadow Quad

    Versatile and trust-worthy

I like Clinique eyeshadows, but I find the palettes tend to be pretty limited to pinks, browns and purples. Still if those are the shades you like the colour surge quads are pretty good. They go on evenly, are long-lasting (at least with the primer I use) and do not irritate my eyes. The color saturation is good, not great so that combined with the price knocks off a star. I like that in the quads you get equals amounts of each color and the applicator is really good for being in a palette. I always steal these off my mom if she doesn't like the color if she gets them on bonus days, but I rarely buy them since I usually prefer more color saturation.

Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Trio

Only going to have one eyeshadow palette for day and night?

I like Clinique eyeshadows, but I find the palettes tend to be pretty limited to pinks, browns and purples. However the Clinique site has a greenish one and Sephora has a blue/green one as well. They go on evenly, are long-lasting (at least with the primer I use) and do not irritate my eyes. The color saturation is good, not great so that combined with the price knocks off a star. They have a slight shimmer and the applicator is really good for being in a palette. I always steal these off my mom if she doesn't like the color if she gets them on bonus days, but I rarely buy them since I usually prefer more color saturation.

  • Clinique Quick Eyes Cream Shadow

    Clinique Quick Eyes Cream Shadow

Fab cream eyeshadow...why so few colors?

First of all...I always use a primer when putting on eye shadow so take that into account when reading my review. The thing I least like about the Clinique cream shadows is the lack of range and variety in the line. They are all pastel pinks, violets and browns. They are all slightly shimmery. As far as actually using it though, they are pretty great. The cream goes on smoothly and gives great color concentration. With the primer my shadow lasted all day long and then some without creasing or fading. Some people mentioned having trouble with the applicator. I had no problem with application. Like all Clinique products this is fairly pricey, but at least the color in the bottle is the color you'll get on your lids.

  • Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Toilette

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Toilette

    Long-lasting lovely floral, but...

On plus the side...I found this perfume to be long lasting, the bottle is absolutely adorable and the price, while not a bargain is reasonable. On the negative side...I think the scent lacks a certain je ne sais quoi. It is really lovely, soft floral but I couldn't pick out different notes in it. It pretty much smelled the same from start to finish for me. Still, would be nice gift for a young woman or a grandmother and if it works with your body chemistry you might get a better mix of scents from it.

    The Body Shop Body Butter

Another great scent in the body butter line

This isn't my favorite scent in the line, but it is a lovely one. Lightly floral, slightly sweet, this delivers the same punch as the rest of the line. I have very dry skin and I love how this soaks in and leaves my skin feeling moisturized for a long time. Not for oily skin...try the regular lotion if you just want a bit of moisture and scent. I also love that it comes in a tub so you can get every last bit of it out and really get your money's worth.

  • The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Eau de Toilette

This is a really lovely, simple scent. It is also well priced for the length of wear. Lasted 6-8 hours for me. The only thing that would be a negative in my mind is that it is too simple. There aren't really layers to the scent so it doesn't really develop or change. The positive side is that it could be worn by a broad range of people. The floral is very soft, slightly sweet and is in no way overpowering. The bottle isn't anything special but it isn't unattractive either. Overall a good eau de toilette.

  • Marc Jacobs Lola Eau de Parfum
    9.0

Marc Jacobs Lola Eau de Parfum

Fun and flirty, just like the bottle

First of all...my reviews tend to be based on length of wear, quality of product and price for perfumes since the scent really depends on personal preference and body chemistry. That being said, I did enjoy this scent. When I first sprayed it on I thought fruit punch, but after a few minutes I noticed the florals coming through. There's supposed to be pink peppercorn in the top notes and I suppose that is what gives this its unusual edge that helps keep it out of the usual floral/fruity sprays. It is quite long lasting with the fruity florals lasting many hours. After about 5 or 6 hours I'm left with a creamy vanilla...not frosting like, more of a sensual vanilla. So it is quite long lasting. I'd say slightly better than average. Maybe 7 hours of wear. The bottle is amazing and really fun as well. Purple glass, gold and a rubbery funky colored flower. Paired with a good price tag, I'd say this is an above average perfume. pink peppercorn, pear, and ruby red grapefruit. Blooming midnotes of rose, fuschia peony, and geranium make a feminine statement. Layers of vanilla, warm tonka bean, and creamy musk create a sensous drydown.
